Site 16 - Bullfrog Pond Campground
in Austin Creek State Recreation Area, CaliforniaStayed another time here, great campsite! I stayed in site 16 and it was a little exposed to site 17... the teen sites are not that private. Nice host and beautiful sunsets!
Shelter Rock
in Chanslor Ranch, CaliforniaThis campsite was beautiful. The Chanslor Ranch helpers will drive your stuff up to the campsite, but you will be taking your stuff down. You can buy wood ($1/log) and they'll drive that up there too. For this campsite, they have a make-shift fire-pit behind the rock and another pit plus a picnic table out in front of the rock. We felt it was too windy to go out in front of the rock, so we didn't have a picnic table (personal preference). The view was fantastic and it was very private (though there's no place to go the bathroom in privacy unless you walk down the hill to the toilets). We had a great time, and beware it gets very wet from the fog up there!
(PAUSED) THE BIG OM OCEAN RETREAT
in WildTender Ranch & Rescue, CaliforniaThis place is magical! Very easy to access from 1, and Montrese (the owner) is extremely helpful, sweet, and warm. The view is spectacular and the RV is a blast from the past!
