Description

Twelve Mile Flat Campground—or as we like to call it, the Twelve Mile Flat Playground—is an open, wildflower-filled meadow surrounded by spruce and pines. In the winter months, the area is a destination for snowmobile enthusiasts. In the warmer months, abundant ATV trails provide exciting riding for all skill levels. Nature seems to be living it up here as well, as wildlife and summer wildflowers are plentiful, and the autumn leaves put on quite the show. A short but steep drive lands you at Ferron Reservoir, an excellent location for canoeing and rainbow 'n' cutthrot trout fishing. Take a drive along the Skyline Drive, which passes outside of Twelve Mile Flat Campground, a route that stretches along the top of the Wasatch Pkateau for over 60 miles. The sightseeing rewards visitors with beutiful mountain vistas, glacial cirques, spruce-fir forests, aspen forests, and numerous lakes and reservoirs. Better bring a camera!
