A great place to pitch a tent for a weary traveler.
I pitched my tent underneath the apple trees. This site does offer electric and water if needed. There is a covered area with picnic tables and a refrigerator if needed to be used. A Joy-John is on site too.
I'm a car camper/tent camper.
I set up camp on day one. Day 2. I explore the area. Morning 3 I break camp and head out.
This site is in-between Mt. Rainier and Mt. St. Helens.
I suggest taking a drive through Gifford Pinchot National Forest, pull off, find a trail and do a little hiking.

This location worked out well - situated between a couple of cool towns. It wasn't full but there were a couple of other campers on the grounds.
The sites are not well marked, or I guess not marked at all.
The port-a-potty is in the far corner of the site but was good to have.
The pool was really dirty when we arrived, so our boys were temporarily excited but decided against going in. We were willing to skim the top, which was covered in bugs, but we had concerns about the chemicals in the water (whether there were any) since it seemed it hadn't been tended to in a while.
Also, a neighbor was nice enough to come over to tell us that a wildfire had popped up on the road across the street and told us an app (Watch Duty) that we could download to follow news on it. Luckily, the fire didn't really materialize and there was no true danger.
Truck noise was loud during the day but quieted down at night.

A rare find with a kind host!
40 ft travel trailer · Group trip ·
We were in a tough spot. Our reserved spot 30 miles to the east was under evacuation. Everything was booked around there. To hipcamp we go! This spot popped up with great pictures and immediate booking. We were a large group. 3 tents, 3 motorcycles and a travel trailer. I messaged the camp host he needs and she immediately responded to book the family site. We did and it exceeded our desires.
This place is better than a koa. It’s easy pull in, electric (30a) water, a pool, gravel pull in and the family site allows for 3 tents easy. There is a pool? Yep! There is plenty of fresh water on site and a camp kitchen and refrigerator.
I messaged the host through the evening to which they responded within 15 minutes. Wow! I even messaged them after we left with a couple suggestions and they took those too.
They had a trash can on site and everything was clean. The fact they responded in our time of need and didn’t blink at the mention of motorcycles was so cool.
This host strikes me as attentive but not stifling.
I highly recommend them. If you are tent only, get the site up on the hill with the platform. Super nice spot.

No need to pull out your level! Very nice clean & level gravel throughout all the sites. Hook ups right where you need them. Camp host was very gracious of a couple extra requests we had. Will be staying again! Only 45 minutes to the ski area!
