    Step out of the city and onto this working produce farm. Accommodation is rustic and basic as opposed to four star but the air is fresh and the stars are a work of art. Come and enjoy the tranquillity. As a way of introduction, some basic housekeeping information about our cabin …. Firstly this is a working farm, so accommodation is rustic and basic as opposed to four star. Our bathroom facilities are an outside shower and composting toilet about a 20m walk from the cabin but the bonus is we have just had instant hot water installed and the shower is steaming hot. There is a hand basin outside the cabin with cold running water for drinking and washing. We will always leave a torch in the cabin for your use, for those late night adventures! For your convenience there is a refrigerator, microwave, kettle, drinkware, cutlery and plates. Linen and towels are provided and the fridge will be stocked with milk and cold water. There is no hot and cold running water inside the cabin however as I mentioned the hand basin outside will provide cold water for hand washing, teeth cleaning etc. Animals roam free on the property and the cabin overlooks our dam where the ducks and geese take their families to swim. As I mentioned earlier, this is a working farm and business and we do have a dam in close proximity to the cabin; this is NOT fully fenced, so please be aware that is it your sole responsibility to supervise your children at all times – animals are also freely wandering the grounds in the way of chooks, alpacas, sheep, goats, geese and dogs (we have 8 rescue dogs of all shapes and sizes), so please be aware that free range is just that, again supervision will be required. Adequate footwear for children would be an advantage as the walking tracks can be rutted after bad weather and working farm means dirt and animal poop (just to add to the fun) so obviously safety is the best prevention. We'd love to show you our little part of the world and welcome you to our home. We welcome lots of interaction with the animals and there is a big open fire that you can sit around and toast marshmallows and chat or a smaller one outside the cabin to take in the fresh air and the canvas of stars.     Secluded and charming cottage hidden from the rest of the world. It's basic and rustic but has all you need plus its pot belly stove and double spa-bath for a unique touch. The perfect get-away from the city. Relaxing. It's the complete escape. The kitchenette has a fridge & basic cooking facilities (crockery, cutlery, pots & pans, small microwave, toaster oven, 2 electric hotplates, kettle & toaster) & there’s gas bbq outside. Linen & towels are supplied & the beds have electric blankets. Full access to the 40 acre property (except around the other cottages) - explore the bush, have a hit of tennis up at the main house or laze about the cottage relaxing. We're about 15 mins out of town, 2 km down a reasonably well maintained dirt road (ok in the wet). Also, there is no mobile reception or wifi. Take the time to disconnect and recharge without technology, while it sounds scary to start with, many guests comment that it helped them to connect with nature, each other or themselves and this was one of the things that made their time with us so special.     Accessible only by boat, this secluded and lovingly decorated house at Bar Point on the Hawkesbury River, (aka Deerubbin,) is only an hour from the Sydney CBD. This beautiful Artists retreat is surrounded by nature. You don't have to be an artist to stay with us, but we do offer free boat transfers for artists and musicians. You will arrive by boat and soak up the serenity. Large deck with river views. Located on the waterfront on the Eastern side of Bar Point. Our custom-designed Finnish sauna offers a unique and holistic experience, the combination of heat, dimmed lights, and the smell of cedar or essential oils creates a healing ambience that is both invigorating and comforting. The house is full of Art, books, games, and DVDs, there is also the 'yoga deck' behind the house with even more expansive views of the river - a perfect place to do some morning meditation or enjoy a bowl of pasta as the sun goes down, highlighting the orange of the sandstone cliffs across the river. Surrounded by National Parks and completely free of cars and traffic, this is a beautiful little retreat, perfect for a family or a group of friends to meet up and re centre. At Bar Point there are no shops or cafes so you must bring everything you need with you, basic pantry staples such as salt, pepper, cooking oil etc are provided. Kayaks, fishing poles and crab pots provided. Our own private residence is a separate apartment upstairs, there are no shared walls or internal stairs and you will have your own private entrance, however as it is a large, old wooden house you may at times hear us moving about upstairs, naturally we try to be as quiet as possible when we have guests visiting. We will leave you entirely to yourselves but if you do need any help or information or even a little guided walking tour of the locality we are very happy to accommodate you. Our sauna deck is a shared area which guests are welcome to use, heating the sauna takes an hour or two, so just let us know and we will get it all ready for you with fresh towels, scented oils and branches of freshly cut lavender or wormwood to create a beautiful ambience.

During your stay in Lithgow, embrace the opportunity to unwind in the crisp mountain air. Whether you prefer leisurely activities like bushwalking and bike riding or simply relaxing on the deck and connecting with nature, our cabin offers the perfect setting for rejuvenation. On clear nights, drift off to sleep under a canopy of stars visible from your window. Access to the cabin is via a grass-covered path from Mount Street. Parking is available right next to the cabin, with just three small steps leading up to the deck and the serene surroundings of nature. Upon booking, we will provide you with the code for the key box, conveniently located on the stairs leading up to the deck. As an off-grid property, please be aware of the following: Solar power efficiently lights both the interior and exterior of the cabin and charges devices quickly. Enjoy excellent phone reception during your stay. While there is currently no working fridge on the property, we provide a large esky for your convenience.
