Loved our stay at this camp, easy to get into Canberra but a nice relaxed camp with a back to nature feel. My kids loved the animals to pat and we loved waking up to the alpacas and geese roaming paddock B. Didn’t try the shower but toilets were clean and well maintained.

We just returned from the most magical stay at this campsite and I can't recommend it enough! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with stunning views that took our breath away. The setting is peaceful, scenic, and perfect for anyone looking to unplug and soak in nature. What really sets this campsite apart are the farm animals – a huge hit with our kids! They loved picking fresh eggs in the morning, feeding the friendly pony and rabbits, and watching the geese wander around. It’s like staying in a storybook farm! The facilities are spotless and thoughtfully designed, making the stay super comfortable. Showers were hot, everything was well maintained, and you can tell the hosts really care about the place – and their guests. Speaking of which, the host was absolutely amazing – warm, welcoming, and full of great local tips. If you’re looking for a unique, family-friendly camping experience with a little extra magic, this is hands-down the best campsite ever. We’re already planning our next trip back!

We absolutely loved our stay! We were in a very secluded spot and barely noticed the other 2 guests, we had cows visiting us every morning, and Kate’s donkey tour is a must! Will definitely be coming back.

Wandy Donkey Camp is so pretty, it has beautiful views in the evening and morning. There’s a petrol station really nearby too which is handy for basic essentials. Kate’s explanation of the entrance was brilliant. We really enjoyed our stay here and hope to come back again soon!

Yifi's property was amazing! We loved our little getaway. Yifu let's the kids pick an egg great from the chicken coop. They even got to pat one. Amenities were clean and great. Would love to come back when it starts getting warmer again

Another perfect stay at Elsie's property. Plenty of firewood available and the weather was just perfect for the Easter Long Weekend. Plenty of swims in the creek for the kids and very short trip into Milton for supplies if needed.

This was our second stay at the Elsie’s beautiful property and we had a wonderful time, again! The Coral Trees site is perfect for us, alongside the burbling creek, and plenty of all-day sunshine, great for recharging our Vitamin D and our camper’s solar panels. All of the sites were occupied (it was Easter long weekend), but the sites are so well spaced, we felt as though we were there by ourselves. Love bringing our dogs with us. Plenty to see and do in the region, but we were happy to enjoy just “being” and soaking up the beautiful location. Thank you, Elsie. Hope to visit again soon.

We really liked our overnight stay in the paddock. Kate was quick to respond, very friendly and gave good directions. The paddock is large with nice views. There were about 4 others campers in the paddock but spots were well spaced out and everyone was pretty quiet.

Kate is a great host and met us at the gate to show us our spot for the night. The farm is located a short drive to jervis bay which was why we have selected it - and glad that we did. Our spot on the farm was huge with plenty of space between our neighbours. It's very peaceful out there, although close to the main road, we didn't hear the traffic noise at all. We stayed around for the animal feeding in the morning and kate gave us a talk about her animals. Highly recommend staying here if you are in the area.

Absolutely loved our stay at this camp! The location was perfect — nice and close to Canberra, but it still felt like a peaceful escape. The site itself was stunning, right by the water where we even managed to catch a fish! There were geese wandering around and the owner was just incredible — he truly went above and beyond. He gave us fresh eggs from his own chickens, made us a firepit, and even brought it down to the water for us to enjoy by our campsite. The toilet was honestly the cleanest and best-kept I've ever seen while camping. Couldn’t recommend this spot more. We’ll 100% be coming back!

2 nights at Little Forest Farmstay

Elsie's farm is stunning. We stayed over Easter weekend and ended up taking a site closer to the creek. The farm is beautifully cared for, as are the horses, dogs and chooks! Elsie is welcoming and the fire pit had ample firewood that lasted us 2 nights. A quick trip to Milton for a coffee or to use the public loos and the surrounding beaches. I can highly recommend the serenity and star gazing that Elsie's beautiful farm offers.

An excellent location to camp and let the kids run wild. Hosts were excellent and provided an archery target and came over and chopped up some wood for the fire. Highly recommended

Sunset Point

When you stay at Sunset Point you have lake frontage onto Borang Lake ( 4km from Potato Point), which connects directly with the Tuross lakes. You are able to launch your own tinny at our private jetty. A firepit is provided and you can collect your own wood yourself, or purchase a $25 a wheel barrow load with your booking. Wildlife is plentiful here, so please respect the environment and clean up after your self. There are some amazing local beaches only minutes to Potato Point or down the back track 10 minute drive or, ride your pushie or walk (its a bit of a walk) - straight to Blackfellows Point at Potato Point. There are lovely walking tracks around the property and lots of fishing, kayaking, SUP or pop your Tinnie in and fish till sunset or just plain lazy days. Watch the sunrise or walk to the other side of the property and watch the sunset. Watching the moon rise on the lake is quite beautiful. Launch your tinny and go fishing or simply kayak or lazy around. The site is dog friendly, but your pet must be well behaved and not aggressive as there may be other campers and pets on the property during your stay and a Sunset Point Camp Cat. You may not be right next to each other but please respect other guests, with noise. Just 10 minutes from the charming village of Bodalla, which was founded on the back of dairy farming and cheese production back in the 1860s. 30 minutes drive either way to the hubs of Narooma and Moruya. No barking dogs and no loud music or parties. This is a peaceful getaway. Short car trip to famous beaches where you leave nothing but footprints. It's our secret!

We have several sites for 100% self-contained campers, where you'll be spoilt with spectacular views of the Tinderry Mountains, access to undulating walking trails, and the Namadgi National Park nearby. On clear nights, the stars here are spellbinding. We have many animals here too! View our placid Scottish Galloway cattle (currently with calves!) pat our friendly poddy Cody and grab a photo opportunity. We also have a beautiful horse Ali and her yearling colt diesel, just watch your fingers with him, gelded now but still thinks he’s a stallion. 5 fat Dorper sheep look like running rugs running around. A real country experience! An Angora goat and slashed tracks to access the beautiful 130 acres around the farm. The small village of Michelago is 5km from our property, has the fuel servo and a terrific General Store, which serves great burgers and milkshakes plus much more. 20mins to the town of Bredbo with its own pub is great for counter lunches and dinners. The Town of Cooma, the gateway to the Snowy mountains is a 40 min drive south. Also if you want to go camping with friends and introduce them to the great outdoors and they don’t have the gear ask about our hire service of all things needed to have a great camp, some are listed but more is always available to hire, just send me a message. As one of our many happy Hipcamp guests have said the photos don’t do the views justice, they are truely spectacular:) Thats all folks, our paradise is your paradise to enjoy.

Scribbly Gum secluded bush camping

It has flat areas with plenty of free timber for the designated fire pits. I have tried to create a haven for wildlife including Kangaroos, wombats, echidnas and platypus. I cherish the cleanliness of the river and surrounds and wish to be able to share this special environment with others who care to preserve all it offers. You can explore the property along the tracks, paddle, swim or fish in the river, enjoy the fauna, wildlife and birdlife. Located not far from Braidwood, a town steeped in history, with good shopping, coffee shops and great food. Sloping to flat land amongst the Scribbly Gum trees offering a number of sites and walks through the property. It provides both sun and shade. Access is good for vans of any size along a track through the bushland. Lovely swimming spots in the Mongalowe River, beautiful clear water, and several lovely bushwalks around the property. Welcome to our spacious riverside camp sites on the banks of the beautiful Moruya river in the South Coast of New South Wales! Glenduart Farm Riverside camps are the perfect location for enjoying the camp, or as a base for exploring the local area. We are located just a short distance from town, where you can find a range of shops, restaurants and cafes. If you love markets, you're in luck! There are plenty of local markets in the area, including the Moruya Country Markets which are held every Saturday. You can also visit the Moruya Farmers Market, held on Tuesday afternoons, or the nearby Tilba Market, held on Saturday mornings. The tiny nearby town of Bodalla boasts a magnificent dairy with cheese tasting (try the lemon myrtle!) and interactive calf feeding daily at 10am and 4pm. If you want a few pints and great meal, the ribs at the Adelaide Hotel are magnificent (although only available seasonally) and a courtesy bus is available from the entrance to the property. There are plenty of tourist attractions to explore in the area, including the stunning Eurobodalla National Park, the historic town of Mogo and the renowned Mogo Zoo. For those who love the outdoors, the Moruya river is perfect for fishing, kayaking and swimming. If you're looking for natural beauty, you'll be spoilt for choice. Take a drive along the coast and discover beautiful, secluded beaches, or explore the nearby forests and waterfalls. Our riverside camp sites are great for large or small groups boasting generously sized and spaced grassed sites offering beautiful views of the abundant Moruya river along with individual firepits* Whatever your interests, Glenduart Farm Riverside Camps are the perfect place to relax and enjoy all that the South Coast has to offer. THE IMPORTANT STUFF: ACCESS: As you enter the property, you'll find yourself driving down an unsealed dirt road, before embarking on approx 100 meters of fairly flat to gently sloping paddocks. We recommend 4WD or AWD vehicles to access, however will leave this to your discretion. PETS: We are a working farm with horses and cows that are easily spooked and we only allow dogs under very (very) special circumstances. Please send an enquiry if you wish to bring a furbaby along, but as a rule, we do not allow dogs on the property. AMENITIES: There are no drinking water or electricity provisions on site. There is a toilet provided with walking distance to all sites. Our future campers and native wildlife request that you keep your business contained to onboard toilets, porta potties or the toilet provided. Under NO circumstances are toilet cassettes to be emptied in or around the river or campsites. RIVER ACCESS: Our large sites offer sweeping views and great fishing however the banks are raised and will require some tenacity if you wish to swim or pop a kayak in. You can however moore small watercraft including boats & jetskis after putting them in at the boat ramp a short drive up the river. FENCING: We have farm fencing in place between the camp sites and the river bank, however we advise small children be monitored as there are several open access points along the riverbank. As mentioned, we are a working farm using gates and fences to contain our livestock. As a rule, leave all gates as you find them (eg: if you open a gate, close it after you. If its already open, leave it open) WILDLIFE: You'll see huge wombat holes all along the river bank - although tempting for the kids, please refrain from digging these out further as our wombats still use them as houses and they contribute to riverbank erosion. You may be lucky enough to catch a glimpse of our fabled red stag in the evenings and will see an array of beautiful birds and other native animals that share our property. Please note: Any form of animal cruelty will not be tolerated and there is no hunting allowed on the property. *FIRES: Govt / weather restrictions permitting. Maybe lit in designated firepit areas only - BYO Firewood. A small wood pile is provided to each camp on arrival to get you started and provide a modest fire for the night, however chopped firewood is available by the bag or wheelbarrow on a cash basis. $25 for a large bag - $50 for a barrow. Let us know in your booking if you'd like us to arrange to have purchased firewood on site for when you arrive.

Once a much larger property, we purchased our 120-acre (50-hectare) in 1984 as a means to live sustainably and raise a family. Living in our shed whilst we prepared the garden, put in watering infrastructure and built our house which we finally moved in when our daughter was 6 months old in 1990. Over the ensuing years we have continued to increase biodiversity on the property and set it up so we can live sustainably, harvesting our own water, electricity and food. If your lucky you could get a hamper of our product when there is sufficient in season. With the increased biodiversity you will find that in the mornings and evenings kangaroos and wallabies will visit with the occasional echidna, rabbit and hare; and to forget the large array of bird life - that may wake you early in the morning with the songs. This campsite is set on lovely grassy open areas interspersed with gum trees. The sunrise looks spectacular near the dam, when the trees give off a lovely glow. The main paddock has a Geodome, a shared space for relaxing in. With all that space you can park and set up camp anywhere in the paddock. There is access to drinking water, toilets, and a hot shower. Around the dome is a firepit, drinking water and a camp kitchen. The firepit features an Argentinian BBQ and a plate for cooking. The kitchen has plates, cups, cutlery, and other bits and pieces for you to use. We also allow for your pets to stay onsite, this also includes horses.
