    Rustic, Rural, Relaxing, Romantic...our camp site is for you. Located on the edge of town, and on the Boorowa River, our land offers peace and quiet with plenty of space. Overlooking rural paddocks, and the river, you can enjoy the tranquility that a farming landscape has to offer. Perfect family holiday location. Town center is a 5 min drive or a short walk/ride, so access to town facilities and amenities is very convenient. Please refer to images for the latter. We have a camper's undercover area for you to share and enjoy (lounge, TV, dining tables). Firewood - please bring your own, we do not have firewood or fallen branches from trees. "Wombles Common" has a permanent fire pit area, all other sites require transportable fire pits (provided or bring your own). Please do not leave burn scars on the ground and please take your ashes with you or dump them in the "Wombles Common" fire pit area. River - the river is excellent for fun canoeing adventures. Entering the river is at your own risk. Fishing - great fishing in the river. We love the Red Fin! Pets - pets are welcome but need to be controlled. The safety and comfort of the resident sheep, our neighbours and other campers are a priority. Please don't not allow your pets to disturb (including barking, wandering or chasing sheep) the peace of those around them. Please ensure you book the site you prefer by referring to the image of the sites in this listing. Check image for entrance locations for each site. You will need to be a self-contained camper with own camping toilet/shower, and supplies. We have one power outlet available (only available for "Wombles Common" sites). We LOVE to see your photos, please feel free to share your camping adventure by uploading your happy snaps. Known as the Hilltop region, the township of Boorowa, and surrounds are full of rolling hills, farmlands and bush. If you visit in spring, you'll be able to see fields full of bright yellow canola flowers as far as the eye can see. Bring your camera! Townships close by: Yass, Young, Harden, Binalong, Rye Park, Cowra, Wyangla Dam, Burrinjuck Dam, Wee Jasper (1.5hrs from Canberra, 3.5hrs from Sydney).     I highly recommend James for his hospitality and Cargo Road Wines for a camping experience that is memorable. Spanning over 16 hectares there are so many camping sites to choose from and it's a pleasant view waking up to the sunrise and Vineyards as well to the sound of sheeps. We also opted for the wine tour where James gave us some background story of himself and The Vineyard itself and it definitely has made me appreciate wine more than before. Will definitely camp here once again in the near future. Our Little Jack Russell Puppy also enjoyed running around the Vineyards along with the sheeps and Kelpie

    We stayed at Cabernet 1 site at Cargo Road Lane. We absolutely loved our stay and would love to camp there again. Our site had beautiful views and was surrounded by grape vines, with enough space to be away from other campers and for the kids to play. James was very friendly and helpful and the wine from Cargo Road was great too! Looking forward to staying here again and would recommend to anyone wanting a farm stay experience.

    Wonderful place to start our road trip from Sydney . We had the powered site just near the amenities block which was very convenient . Had a lovely walk up the hill behind for sweeping views of the surrounding countryside . Amenities block wonderful with hot shower and flushing loo. Steph is a wonderful host and do yourself a favour and buy some of her chickens eggs . Best ever ! A lovely stay on a working farm . Thank you .

    If you're looking for a peaceful camping spot where you feel a million miles from the stresses of life then this is it Being dog friendly was a huge bonus and our dogs had the best weekend camping with us The sunset is stunning The campsites are spread out so you really feel like you have the space all to yourself. The facilities are simple and provide what you need. And the location is close enough to town that anything you might need is right on the doorstep. It was also a great location for a bit of star gazing at night too once the sun goes down And being able to pop up to the cellar door for a wine tasting was a great added bonus

    Stayed at Little Italy site and loved it! Brilliant spot that felt like the location it was, down a quiet track at the back of a vineyard. While the grass was a little on the longer side, we dealt with that in our hard-floor camper plus some matting. If you’re looking for a site that feels like you are out on the farm, this is a great choice. The wine tasting was brilliant, so arrive early enough to fit that in on the first night if you want the full experience.

    What a beautiful spot! The winery shed site is right across from the cellar door and toilet/shower. Very quiet and peaceful with some beautiful night skies to be seen. Our Golden retriever puppy loved the outdoor space too!

We are just 2 km Glenwood Forest Trails for amazing mountain biking dedicated downhill trails and events year-round. We are just next to the Lonely Mountain Ultra which runs in October. Mount and Lake Canobolas offer wonderful walk, swims, paddles and fishing. The region has incredible produce, restaurants and wineries.     'La Paloma' is a farm located 15 minutes from the township of Cowra and Wyangala Dam. La Paloma boasts spectacular views down the valley and of surrounding granite hills. We offer powered and unpowered camping. Take a walk up the hill to take in the gorgeous scenery and watch the breath-taking sunrises and sunsets! Say hi to our resident sheep! We have a flock of gorgeous sheep (and their guard alpacas!) enjoying the delicious pastures. There is lots of native bird life to see here, with Superb Parrots, Blue Wrens, Cockatoos, Rosellas, Wedge Tail Eagles and of course, Doves (hence the property name, La Paloma). Wake up to see the mob of kangaroos bounding up the hill. Make sure to pop over to Wyangala Dam (14 min) for a fish or take part in some watersports. Or even head down the road to Elliotts Lookout over the Dam for some incredible views! We can even provide under cover boat storage if you want to bring your boat with you for some fun on the lake! In spring, enjoy the beautiful blossoming fruit trees. You can even visit Sakura Matsuri, the Japanese Cherry Blossom Festival in Cowra late September! Year round, enjoy the tranquillity and landscapes of the Japanese Gardens and Cultural Centre in Cowra (14 min). The gardens act as a monument of peace and reconciliation between two countries after the largest Prisoner Of War breakout in modern military history. Cowra's rich history can be explored at the Cowra POW Campsite and various other historical sites around town. Make sure to end your night around a great campfire! We have a designated campfire area or you can have campfires in your own contained fire pits and sometimes we have complimentary firewood in a wood shed close by. Roast some marshmallows and take in the starry night sky. Property has a gorgeous stand-alone bathroom building with 2 toilets, a hot water shower and sink. Please keep this clean and tidy. There are cleaning products under the sink as we cannot always be there to keep it clean. There is also an undercover table and basic camp kitchen set up for use in the shearing shed. Please take all rubbish with you. Please make sure to follow COVID-19 guidelines by washing and sanitising hands especially when using shared areas. Pick a camp site in the middle aisle around the sheds, bathroom block and driveway OR in our top hill paddock (if gates are open) to take in the views. You are welcome to camp anywhere in the paddock - please note these sites are only accessible on foot, please do not drive into the paddock. No fires in the paddock please, there is a communal campfire spot available. We can accommodate RVs on the granite parking pads near the bathroom block. There is a power pole close by to plug in to. Note the ground off the driveway and parking pads can get very wet and boggy so to avoid getting bogged please try to stick to the driveway as much as possible.

    Situated upon a hill top, "Orangewood", is a 44 acre working cattle farm in the southern Orange wine region. When the holiday home has NO booked guests, we make this available for 1 lucky camper group. You park your camper/van or RV away from the house for privacy, peace and quiet on the Western side of the property. No one else will be at the property except occasional day maintenance people on a separate driveway to house. Have a lovely and peaceful stay on a farm yet you also get to wander around the gardens and experience the HUGE pool, many grassed and seating areas to relax with the wonderful views of the countryside. Kangaroos are now venturing closer to the house and there's lots of birdlife. Kid friendly too, kids can play on tree swings, ride bikes supplied in the shed, enjoy the wood play area. *** PLEASE REQUEST YOUR DATES and I will accept IF THERE is availability . DO NOT ASSUME your request is a CONFIRMED BOOKING** We have to manage these requests manually to avoid house booking clashes. What you need to know: 1. No guests will be staying in the house whilst you are camping. The owners however may be there for the day if cleaning or doing maintenance, but we will keep out of your way. 2. Best availability tends to be weekdays as the house usually has weekend bookings. 3. The Pool is only OPEN from Dec to April. It is not heated except for the solar blankets. It's a cool climate region so the pool is the warmest for Jan/Feb only. Shallow ends 1m with the middle of pool being 2m deep. 4. You are welcome to use all the outdoor entertaining areas although BBQ, utility room with laundry, toilet, multi purpose sink and very basic kitchenette is an additional cost. 5. We can't guarantee a resort style clean pool as this is a farm and leaves blow in and bugs. It gets serviced twice a week. 6. Whilst the property is 44 acres in total, only a few acres is useable due to the cattle paddocks. 7. No pets. They interfere with cattle and the kangaroos. 8. Optional BBQ, electricity power and optional utility/laundry room with toilet (all additional cost). There's no guarantees we can provide the extras if we aren't given at least a few days notice. Campers that are completely self contained are easier to accept with short notice.
