Maddara.Organic.Farm.and.Art

9 sites · Lodging, RVs, Tents120 acres · Yass River, NSW
Once a much larger property, we purchased our 120-acre (50-hectare) in 1984 as a means to live sustainably and raise a family. Living in our shed whilst we prepared the garden, put in watering infrastructure and built our house which we finally moved in when our daughter was 6 months old in 1990. Over the ensuing years we have continued to increase biodiversity on the property and set it up so we can live sustainably, harvesting our own water, electricity and food. If your lucky you could get a hamper of our product when there is sufficient in season. With the increased biodiversity you will find that in the mornings and evenings kangaroos and wallabies will visit with the occasional echidna, rabbit and hare; and to forget the large array of bird life - that may wake you early in the morning with the songs. This campsite is set on lovely grassy open areas interspersed with gum trees. The sunrise looks spectacular near the dam, when the trees give off a lovely glow. The main paddock has a Geodome, a shared space for relaxing in. With all that space you can park and set up camp anywhere in the paddock. There is access to drinking water, toilets, and a hot shower. Around the dome is a firepit, drinking water and a camp kitchen. The firepit features an Argentinian BBQ and a plate for cooking. The kitchen has plates, cups, cutlery, and other bits and pieces for you to use. We also allow for your pets to stay onsite, this also includes horses. If you want exclusive use of the paddocks - refer to Group Bush Retreat.

Two Little Piggies

5 sites · Lodging, RVs, Tents36 acres · Wayo, NSW
Situated on an amazing 36 acres located only 15 minutes from Goulburn NSW whilst overlooking the magnificent lake Pejar. We are currently establishing our cattle and produce enterprise at Wayo. Whilst driving up our driveway through the corridor of birch trees you will start to immerse yourself and unwind before arriving at your campsite over the hill. We have 4 very unique sites ranging from absolute luxury and pampering (including all food as a package) at our glamping lodging to just pitching a tent in a secluded patch of our cattle paddock. Every site is unique and special offering amazing views and experiences and although we do have several sites, you do have your own space to roam around and unwind. Fur babies are most welcome though please ensure your fury friend is good with other dogs as we do from time to time have other families stay with their dogs. We have access to the lake only 2 minutes from our farm gate. There is amazing fishing with Bass and Trout in the lake as well as non motorised sports for a peaceful getaway. If doing nothing is your thing, then sit back in front of the fire, enjoy a beer or wine and just admire the views. We just know you will love staying on our little slice of paradise, one of the districts best kept secrets and views :) Please note that there is a minimum one weeks notice for all extras (just so we can make everything perfect for your visit)

We have 245 acres with an area of bushland and other lovely areas with scattered trees, plus some open areas. Currently we have a choice of camping areas for caravans and tents, some nestled in amongst the tree line. Other areas alongside the dam. We keep all the camping areas slashed for safety and to allow easier access to find a suitable camping spot. We also have a hut available in the bush area. This hut is secluded and has its own outdoor private toilet. All camping areas can cater for a number of caravans/tents if you’re travelling with friends. There is no shower, electricity or fresh water available, however we do have a flush toilet at the camping and caravan site. Campers would need to be self-sufficient otherwise. The hut has its own toilet available and is for people staying in the hut only. If the hut is booked prior to any campers booking, that area will be unavailable for campers. Please note we don't allow motorbikes, Quads or firearms on the property and there are no exceptions, sorry. We run 300 sheep on our property and have wildlife such as kangaroos, wombats and echidnas. We also have farm animals such as cows, horses, rabbits, guinea pigs, chickens, geese, and dogs. We have 8 dams, 3 of which have fish as well as yabbies throughout the year. Fire pits located in designated areas and only to used during non fire ban periods and to be supervised at all times. We're happy for you to bring your dog however you would be required to keep it under your control or on a leash and away from the sheep. It is a very peaceful location. The dam is stocked with fish (yellow belly are currently 12-14 inches long at the moment). I supply a couple of boats to use (strictly MUST use life jackets). Lots of fairy lights up the trees - a very pretty spot. Abundant native birds and mammals; for photos etc. Geologically diverse with good prospects for gold fossicking or rock collectors. There's a man cave with a bit of shelter for bad weather and a basic bush toilet. Dog friendly, must be well controlled. Campfires permitted in a designated area when restrictions aren't in place. Please ask before lighting a fire. I sell good hardwood for campfires by the wheelbarrow load NO MOBILE SERVICE (unless you head up the hill).
