We offer a space for self contained campers to camp on our farm grounds. You’ll be camped out amongst horse stables surrounded by bushland to experience a true farm camp out. There is water for drinking at the stables, though you must be fully self contained as we don’t offer any bathroom or laundry facilities. Please note the Farm is an adgistment property. Your campsite will be private however there will be people around the farm tending to their horses both morning and afternoon. We are dog friendly but ask that your dogs remain on lead at all times for the safety of our horses and your dogs. If your dog is new to horses or reactive please stay elsewhere. Located just 10 mins from Goulburn CBD within the picturesque Southern Tablelands area, Wattle Run is a beautiful 100 acre secluded property with plenty of wildlife and spectacular views over the valley into Goulburn. We offer spacious nature based campsites around our property, some with views of the mountains, bush based, or in grassy cleared sites with dam views. Please note, to get to some campsites there is a farm track, we recommend 4WD or SUV to access those campsites. but plenty of campsites available for smaller vehicles also. There are families of kangaroos that live within the property as well as some wild rabbits and hares. Keep your eyes peeled for an abundance of wildlife like kookaburras, owls, parrots and ducks. Plenty more for nature lovers here, including bush walking and bird watching. We are located within 15 mins to Pejar dam for local fishing and kayaking (no motors aloud on the dam). Just 10 mins into Goulburn CBD for all the local amenities, including supermarkets and boutique shops and galleries. We also have a variety of local playgrounds and parks to wonder like the wetlands for more nature and wildlife walks. For the kids, we have our newly finished aquatic centre with splash park, and two bmx pump tracks and skate parks. We are located a short 20min drive to "Rambo" the big ram, which is on the list of big things located within Australia. Walk to the top and experience the local sheep industry history as well as shop local produce and giftware. Located a 20min drive west to the beautiful country towns of Crookwell and Taralga, where you can find country pubs, boutique eateries and shops or why not visit Taralga wildlife park for your up close encounter with some animals. Dogs are welcome but must remain on leads at ALL times as this is a working farm and protecting our wildlife is priorty. You MUST bring your own camping toilet and be COMPLETELY 100% self sufficient with everything including drinking water. We have a Leave No Trace policy, so ask that you please take all waste with you as we dont have a bin service. Strictly No Pre Booking tours of campsites allowed, a good description and photos of each campsite is available online. NO DAY VISITORS ALLOWED Campfires permitted when local/state government restrictions aren't in place. PLEASE NOTE at times Wattle Run has the right to enforce their own restrictions. We are a working property and live on site, therefore at times you may hear farm machinery.

Weekend Trip to Joadja Gorge Retreat & Camping

What a beautiful little part of the world! The Sunset camp site at the Joadja Gorge Camping Retreat is situated out of the way in private with such a good little lookout into the wilderness below. Beautiful big campfire site which is great for relaxing around or cooking up a storm and plenty of firewood too. A nice amount of room for a small family or plenty of room for a couple to relax. Dog friendly and the pups that are on the property are so lovely! A short walk through nature to the area toilet and outdoor shower, which a so clean and well maintained. Access to pre-prepared platters or grazing plates and beautiful wine that’s all supplied by local businesses from the area. The seafood platter in particular is so yummy and paired with a white wine from Artemis winery. Awesome bush walks around the property and into an incredible gorge with running water well below. Cannot wait to come back and relax in such a beautiful place away from all the hustle and bustle.

We enjoyed our overnight stay on Pips Paperbark Paddock. Peaceful and with a the variety of birds. Access to a swimming pool and fire pit. Has a flushing loo and hot shower, which we consider luxury on site. Pip was very welcoming and accommodating. We will be back and will recommend. Thank you Pip.

We really enjoyed the Paperbark stay, it was really nice to have experienced the serenity and relaxation away from the city. The pool was therapeutic and very inviting. Our hoast welcomed us and gave us some good recommendations for our kangaroo valley visit. On saying that the General store cafe had the best corn fritters we have ever eaten.

We love camping at babbling brooks it is so well thought out. Site 2 is tucked away surrounded by trees and access to the river. We would have been able to fit another 3 vans in this site it’s that big. Michele is so accommodating and she will deliver wood for your camp fire. So recommend staying here

Loved our stay at James’s place. The tractor swing and fire pit were fantastic. Composting toilet, although basic was a great addition. Great views over the paddocks, sat and watched a storm go over Cooma in the distance. Close to Bungonia park. Peace and quiet, loved it!!

We loved camping at Michele and Bill’s farm. The sites are all very private and spaced far apart. Michele and Bill are lovely people and great hosts. The firewood we purchased was delivered to our site and was a very generous amount. We recommend the farms honey, it’s delicious. The kids really enjoying swimming and seeing all the wombats and kangaroos. We had phone reception and it’s only a short drive for any additional supplies needed. We highly recommend a stay, you won’t be disappointed.

What a fantastic spot! Our site had the nicest patch of grass and felt secluded with the trees around us. The access to the river from our spot wasn’t easy for us to get in but our dogs still loved it and spent lots of time in the river.

This was our second time staying at Babbling Brook, and it was amazing once again. The property is large, and the sites are spaced far apart and are private, which is great. There is easy access to the river, in front of the site, and then easy access to the lagoon at the back. Both are great for kayaking or using our SUP. The property is close to numerous towns, beaches, pubs and breweries, which is always a plus. Michele and her partner were great. Very friendly and accommodating. This would have to be one of my favourite, if not my favorite, Hipcamp.

Situated on the beautiful Wandandian Creek with 15km creek frontage, 2.5 hours south of Sydney, Babbling Brook offers ten grassed areas with an easy 3km 4WD drive to campsites. 15 mins drive to Huskisson and Sussex Inlet. We do not accommodate large groups as our focus is peace, relaxation and family friendly. The property is home to an abundance of wildlife including kangaroos, wallabies, native birds and reptiles. There are also a lot of wombats so stay on the track and look for burrows. There are many activities to enjoy including kayaking, fishing, swimming, bush walking, bird watching and 15kms of mountain bike trails. We are pet friendly, please remember to have your pets protected against ticks. You will need to be self-contained with own camping toilet, shower and water. Please DO NOT dig toilet hole, even though you leave it covered, it doesn't take long for the foxes to dig it up and leave a real mess!! Campfires permitted in designated areas. There is mobile reception. No shooting, archery or hunting. No trail bikes. Do not damage trees, there is plenty of firewood on the ground. Don't forget your mozzie repellent.
