Weekend Trip to Joadja Gorge Retreat & Camping

Absolutely loved staying here. The Paddock has plenty of room and well maintained. It had a lovely fire pit set up and lots of firewood to collect. Leanne was so friendly and made the effort to make sure I was comfortable and had everything I needed and knew where the toilet and firewood was. The toilet was clean and well maintained. The naturewalks were stunning as well. The perfect place to relax and unwind. I’m looking forward to coming back.

Weekend Trip to Farmily Land

We loved our stay at this camp, perfect for families. Kids had a great time feeding the animals, collecting eggs, running free in the beautiful paddocks and play area. Yifu is friendly and booking in was easy and well communicated. We caught a few fish and enjoyed camping alongside the alpacas. Clean, close amenities. The geese add a bit of character to the stay! We will be back, so close to Canberra too!.

There is plenty of space around the camp ground for the kids to run about and the toilets are very clean. We went of ANZAC day long weekend so expected it to be busy but there was heaps of space and we never felt like we were on top of each other. The vibe was really chill and everyone was happy to stop and chat. I would recommend it to anyone

We had a terrific night stay at Eagles View. The campsite it self is flat, has an in ground fire pit and amazing almost 360° views. It was a clear, calm starry night we presented us with an epic night sky. We also drove the outback 4WD track which was fun. David is a personable host. He guided us to our site, gave us plenty of info on the property and checked in on us before we left. I would highly recommend this site to anyone.

We loved our stay at Hillside Camp, we stayed at both the Gully View and Kangaroo Camp sites, we really enjoyed both sites they are very well maintained and so much space. Dave was a great host, we helpful and friendly. We loved the river, bush walks and 4WD tracks, the addition of the maps was very helpful. Such a beautiful property, we will definitely be back! Absolutely fell in love with this property. Sites are huge and secluded and the property in general boasts some of the best views. We were able to explore with our 4WD some amazing tracks not to mention caves and the breath taking : Bow River which runs through the property. The signage around Dave’s 2000 acres is incredible, you couldn’t get lost if you tried. Host Dave was incredible and super helpful with suggestions, water and firewood. Thanks again mate for the stunning weeek.

We can’t recommend Gully View enough as this was the BEST Hipcamps we have stayed at. Our site was a huge clean, private area with fire pit and toilet. There was so many different camp sites for all types of campers. David was so helpful, friendly and easygoing, with great communication before our arrival and during our stay. We loved chatting about the history of his farm also. There was so much to explore, with tracks mapped out for all levels of AWD and 4WD. The walk along Bow River was so beautiful, with endless amount of caves to explore throughout the property. The view from the lookout was absolutely amazing, reached from a fun easy 4wd track. Gully View has so much to see and yet so relaxing as well. Very dog friendly. This place is worth every cent, and we can’t wait to return. Thanks David for a fantastic three night stay

David’s property was fantastic! He has well thought out, level, spaced out campsites that are to excellent and spacious. The 4wd tracks on the property are excellent as you weave through the beautiful changing land scape with some breath taking views. David was an excellent host and we will definitely be returning to his picturesque property.

Fantastic site and we loved the shower facilities behind the main toilets. Plenty of space for big tent setups and very quiet and peaceful. The only regret is that we only stayed for 2 nights, would’ve booked an entire week next time around.

Loved our stay at this camp, easy to get into Canberra but a nice relaxed camp with a back to nature feel. My kids loved the animals to pat and we loved waking up to the alpacas and geese roaming paddock B. Didn’t try the shower but toilets were clean and well maintained.

We just returned from the most magical stay at this campsite and I can't recommend it enough! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with stunning views that took our breath away. The setting is peaceful, scenic, and perfect for anyone looking to unplug and soak in nature. What really sets this campsite apart are the farm animals – a huge hit with our kids! They loved picking fresh eggs in the morning, feeding the friendly pony and rabbits, and watching the geese wander around. It’s like staying in a storybook farm! The facilities are spotless and thoughtfully designed, making the stay super comfortable. Showers were hot, everything was well maintained, and you can tell the hosts really care about the place – and their guests. Speaking of which, the host was absolutely amazing – warm, welcoming, and full of great local tips. If you’re looking for a unique, family-friendly camping experience with a little extra magic, this is hands-down the best campsite ever. We’re already planning our next trip back!

We had an absolutely fabulous stay at the Pine Ridge site at Hillside. Dave was an excellent host. The site and property were really well maintained and clean, with great signage. The river was beautiful with the kids spending hours playing and exploring the caves. The 4WD tracks were a lot of fun too! We can’t wait to come back!

Weekend Trip to Canoelands Orchard Camping

We (family of 4) had a great time at Canoelands, our boys loved exploring the orchard and feeding the animals. Fantastic large, level sites. Great location being just an hour from Sydney. We stayed Easter long weekend and had no issues with traffic. Clear skies at night that are great for star Gazing. Jaime and Nathan were very friendly and helpful.. will definitely be back again for a weekend.

Our camping experience was absolutely wonderful! From start to finish, everything was thoughtfully planned to ensure a peaceful and memorable getaway. There are plenty of activities to keep us entertained- fruit picking, animal feeding, hiking... It was the perfect balance of adventure and relaxation. If you’re looking for a camping experience that’s well-organized, peaceful, and filled with good vibes, I couldn’t recommend this enough.

There are walking tracks or bike riding for kids, if you have a horse or pony you can bring them along too. How about a game of outdoors skittles or spot the native plants, pick a citrus fruit or maybe spot a wallaby, echidna, possum or laugh with the kookaburra's. There is a natural stone campfire where you can sit at night or meet other campers, or just to sit and gaze at the stars. Tales of the past might be spoken if asked. You can hear the night birds and owls. If you are lucky you will see fire fly in the right season. A great place to relax, spend family quality time together, uninterrupted by technology and you relive the Shalom-peace of nature, making memories that you will keep for a lifetime. The little quaint villages that surround Federal are great for a visit. If you want the best sushi in the area then stop at the popular Doma Cafe next to the general store in Federal, you will want to visit more than once after your taste buds have been awakened. Byron bay is a 15-20 min drive on a scenic drive, or visit the biggest little town in Australia Mullumbimby a 15-18 min drive. Bangalow and Lennox heads, Lovely beaches at Brunswick Heads or Ocean Shores are all within 35 min drive the choice is yours. Magical Minyon Falls with its powerful and wonderful waterfalls and uninhabited valley is a must. Don't forget to go bushwalking while you are there. There are also other national parks like mount Jerusalem that are close by. The farm does have orchards and bee hives. Slashing and planting of vegetables will be happening soon everything is organic. If you would like to purchase some organic farm jam just let me know. The stone wall entrance was constructed at the turn of last century and you feel like you have stepped back in time as you imagine those who came across the area as they were amazed at what the area had to offer. Remember it is the Australian bush so there could be snakes just. as there is with all bush in Australia about depending on the time of the year. There is a first aid kit on the property. The local hospital is in Byron 15 minute drive away. A toilet is completed. We have had a celebrity stay for a weekend so you never know who you will see. There are celebrities that live in Federal so you may bump into one. Please do not show up to the property or surrounding areas without placing a booking and receiving directions. If you arrive without placing a booking, you will be turned away. Please use the directions sent to you after placing a booking to stay at this property. If you arrive on a Saturday, as it is the busiest of days for us, the times for meeting is 6pm. Every other day is flexible with time for meeting. Also close by is Murrays Brewery and Sunset Vines both with great food, wine, beer and weekend entertainment. There are plenty of local markets in the area, including the Moruya Country Markets which are held every Saturday. You can also visit the Moruya Farmers Market, held on Tuesday afternoons, or the nearby Tilba Market, held on Saturday mornings. The tiny nearby town of Bodalla boasts a magnificent dairy with cheese tasting (try the lemon myrtle!) and interactive calf feeding daily at 10am and 4pm. If you want a few pints and great meal, the ribs at the Adelaide Hotel are magnificent (although only available seasonally) and a courtesy bus is available from the entrance to the property. There are plenty of tourist attractions to explore in the area, including the stunning Eurobodalla National Park, the historic town of Mogo and the renowned Mogo Zoo. For those who love the outdoors, the Moruya river is perfect for fishing, kayaking and swimming. If you're looking for natural beauty, you'll be spoilt for choice. Take a drive along the coast and discover beautiful, secluded beaches, or explore the nearby forests and waterfalls. Our riverside camp sites are great for large or small groups boasting generously sized and spaced grassed sites offering beautiful views of the abundant Moruya river along with individual firepits* Whatever your interests, Glenduart Farm Riverside Camps are the perfect place to relax and enjoy all that the South Coast has to offer. THE IMPORTANT STUFF: ACCESS: As you enter the property, you'll find yourself driving down an unsealed dirt road, before embarking on approx 100 meters of fairly flat to gently sloping paddocks. We recommend 4WD or AWD vehicles to access, however will leave this to your discretion. PETS: We are a working farm with horses and cows that are easily spooked and we only allow dogs under very (very) special circumstances. Please send an enquiry if you wish to bring a furbaby along, but as a rule, we do not allow dogs on the property. AMENITIES: There are no drinking water or electricity provisions on site. There is a toilet provided with walking distance to all sites. Our future campers and native wildlife request that you keep your business contained to onboard toilets, porta potties or the toilet provided. Under NO circumstances are toilet cassettes to be emptied in or around the river or campsites. RIVER ACCESS: Our large sites offer sweeping views and great fishing however the banks are raised and will require some tenacity if you wish to swim or pop a kayak in. You can however moore small watercraft including boats & jetskis after putting them in at the boat ramp a short drive up the river. FENCING: We have farm fencing in place between the camp sites and the river bank, however we advise small children be monitored as there are several open access points along the riverbank. As mentioned, we are a working farm using gates and fences to contain our livestock. As a rule, leave all gates as you find them (eg: if you open a gate, close it after you. If its already open, leave it open) WILDLIFE: You'll see huge wombat holes all along the river bank - although tempting for the kids, please refrain from digging these out further as our wombats still use them as houses and they contribute to riverbank erosion. You may be lucky enough to catch a glimpse of our fabled red stag in the evenings and will see an array of beautiful birds and other native animals that share our property. Please note: Any form of animal cruelty will not be tolerated and there is no hunting allowed on the property. *FIRES: Govt / weather restrictions permitting. Maybe lit in designated firepit areas only - BYO Firewood. A small wood pile is provided to each camp on arrival to get you started and provide a modest fire for the night, however chopped firewood is available by the bag or wheelbarrow on a cash basis. $25 for a large bag - $50 for a barrow. Other must-see's in the area include the Olney State Forest and the Wattagan National Park.The property is located just off a scenic drive, over a 2wd accessible creek crossing. It is peaceful and secluded. Campers can used shared kitchen and bathroom facilities located at the top of the camp area. Dogs are welcome, but as it's a working farm, we ask the remain on leash at all times.

The camp sites are located on the eastern boundary, 2.5km from the mungo national park visitors centre, and 1km from Mungo lodge. The camp sites offer private locations amongst Pine, Belah, mallee and rose wood trees, some with stunning views of lake mungo and the walls of China. Mungo national park offers walking trails from .5km-10km, 70km drive tour and guided tours on the walls of China sandhills. Mungo lodge offers 7 day a week bar and bistro, guided mungo national park tours and scenic fights.

A short two minute drive (approx 3kms) to the beautiful Blue Hole Picnic Area and Gara Gorge offers swimming, picnic seating, BBQ and bush walking in a scenic bush setting with clean toilets. Armidale is home to many gorges and national parks like no other region. Dangars falls is a stunning waterfall with a picnic area. This rural property suits self sufficient campers only with own drinking water and shower/toilet amenities. All campers must take their rubbish with them leaving no trace - no bins provided. Please note that wifi is limited in this camping area by the river. You will find certain spots around the area that will work more efficiently. We do not offer wifi. This well appointed, fully renovated hut is a studio with a queen bed, lounge area, tv, kitchen, bathroom/laundry, front deck with a bbq and views to die for!!
