With 4 well shaded, spacious sites this is the perfect place to pull up and explore Darwin and its surrounds. Sites are not visible from the road and there are no dirt bike tracks or open land adjoining the property, making this a very secluded and safe site. We can accommodate vans up to 24 feet and have 1 dedicated site for either a camper trailer or tent. All sites have no power or water, so you will need to be fully self-sufficient. There is however a single shower and toilet for use if needed. There is a dump point at the Caravan Park across from Coolalinga Central that can be used for a small fee. All sites are well maintained with plenty of shade, please note during the dry season the grassed area will die off. There will be areas allocated for small campfires and guests must follow fire bans as the restrictions come up. There are wild peacocks that come in at dawn and dusk to get their daily feed, guests are welcome to come watch, Burdekin ducks and possums at night. Pets are allowed however dogs must remain on a lead as there is allot of wildlife that call the property home. We can also store caravan/boats on the property if needed, contact us for further information.

The fish filleting table and boat cleaning area is also nearby. The local kites and other raptors including sea eagles and if you are lucky may see a wedgetailed eagle come in for fish scraps. Green Acres is located in Bynoe, just over an hour and a half drive from Darwin in the Northern Territory. We have five spacious powered sites and plenty of non-powered sites available. We are close to boat ramps where you can access excellent fresh and salt-water fishing and crabbing. We are close to both Berry Springs and Litchfield National Park where you can find stunning waterfalls, swimming holes and wildlife to enjoy. The Sandpalms Roadhouse is a two minute drive away. They offer fuel, a cafe style menu, with special nights for a roast or a woodfired pizza, They are a licensed, family friendly establishment. There is often wildlife visiting our property so keep an eye out whilst enjoying your time at camp. Enjoy listening to the sounds of nature while sitting around your campfire. We also have a toilet and shower available for campers. Pets are welcome but must be kept on a leash upon arrival and under your control at all times. This is the real Aussie outback. A natural bush camp with undulating countryside and a WWII history. Enjoy a good bushwalk or take your mountain bike. This place is perfect for stargazing while you relax around the campfire. The township of Batchelor is a short 10 minute drive away if you need supplies. The Litchfield Waterfalls are 40 minutes away. There is drinking water and a shower (please be very careful of how much you use). The campsite has a picnic table for meals. There is no toilet so you will need to be self-contained with your own camping toilet. Dogs welcome.

Litchfield Bush Sites

Be immersed in the rugged beauty of our Northern bushland, from the luxury of your own fully self contained Van. Open your eyes in the morning to a breathtaking escarpment of native bush. This makes the perfect camp to come home to after exploring Litchfield's waterfalls and attractions. At present we will only be offering 10 self contained sites, so plenty of space not to be on top of each other. We (the owners) live on-site, about a three minute walk from the Van sites. We have also started a little coffee shop at our main camp so you can find us there most days. We are located just 8km from Wangi Falls, one of Litchfield's largest and most iconic waterfalls. For most of the year it is open for swimming. There are also several other smaller water holes nearby. Most water attractions are accessible by car. If you do have a 4WD be sure to go off-road to visit the amazing, less accessible sites.

This is a peaceful and quite location for off the grid self sufficient Campers who enjoy wildlife and having space around you. We have a great range of bird life and wallaby's. Perfect for unhooking the van and exploring Darwin, perhaps treating yourself to a night or two in the City or leaving the van behind whilst you explore the waterfalls at Litchfield or take a fishing charter at Dundee Beach. Enjoy the many tours that Darwin has to offer whilst not having to worry about parking and the safety of your van. This property is located 48km from Darwin City, 25mins from Coolalinga Central, 30mins from Palmerston, 15mins from Berry Springs Nature Reserve and Tavern. 15 acres of cleared natural bush land. Very private and secure yard with fencing and a caretaker on the property. Plenty of wood for fires on the cool dry season evenings. The creek may be flowing depending on the time. Each site is equipped with a sprinkler system to keep the dust at bay and a water tank for cleaning, drinking, and showering. Rest assured, your campsite is secure behind a coded pad-locked gate in a very safe region, allowing you to explore the surrounding tourist attractions worry-free, if you need to leave your belongings/van/trailer while you go on your adventure. Hillier Hideaway is a beautiful 5-acre property located 2 minutes from Coolalinga Central. With 4 well shaded, spacious sites this is the perfect place to pull up and explore Darwin and its surrounds. Sites are not visible from the road and there are no dirt bike tracks or open land adjoining the property, making this a very secluded and safe site. We can accommodate vans up to 24 feet and have 1 dedicated site for either a camper trailer or tent. All sites have no power or water, so you will need to be fully self-sufficient. There is however a single shower and toilet for use if needed. There is a dump point at the Caravan Park across from Coolalinga Central that can be used for a small fee. All sites are well maintained with plenty of shade, please note during the dry season the grassed area will die off. There will be areas allocated for small campfires and guests must follow fire bans as the restrictions come up. There are wild peacocks that come in at dawn and dusk to get their daily feed, guests are welcome to come watch, Burdekin ducks and possums at night. Pets are allowed however dogs must remain on a lead as there is allot of wildlife that call the property home. We can also store caravan/boats on the property if needed, contact us for further information.

Campers will have access to a shower and compost toilet (located in the self-contained cabin - which will not be occupied while we have campers here). The property is 40 minutes to Darwin city, just off the Stuart Hwy, and ideally located to be your base camp whilst you head out on day trips to the National Parks, popular tourist spot, Berry Springs Nature Park, Florence Falls, Buley Rockhole, Adelaide River, Noonamah tavern, and more. The property is 40 acres of carefully maintained virgin rainforest. Our flora and fauna are exactly the same as nearby Litchfield National Park, unfortunately without any waterfalls. We have cleared about 10 acres of undergrowth leaving the trees for shade. Animals and other wildlife are abundant with the lilly pond on our front lawn being the only permanent water other than the Finniss River that they have in the area. We have hundreds of wallabies, goannas, frill necked lizards and plenty of bird life. Our pet Red Tailed Black Cockatoo "Butt" attracts the local wild ones, because she is happy they trust us so you can get closer to them than usual for photos. We have toilets and showers set up for our annual fishing competition which we hold for charity each Queens Birthday weekend. There is also a large wood fired BBQ in the same central area. The fish filleting table and boat cleaning area is also nearby. The local kites and other raptors including sea eagles and if you are lucky may see a wedgetailed eagle come in for fish scraps. Croc and dingo area - be aware!
