    The Cooke Family welcomes you to “Hopevale”. A beautiful 113 acre property bordered by Wrattens National Park at the edge of the world in the peaceful Widgee district of greater Gympie. Jason, a landscaper by trade, and Jacinta a teacher by profession, met many years ago at a national Christian youth conference. Four beautiful children later and many years down the track, they bought Hopevale as a blank cattle fattening property in 2018. After much hard work, they have made it what it is today, with plans to continually improve. We have different camp options available, one of which is set up for those guests also wanting to stay with horses or just have a larger group booking. Guests will have access to a toilet and shower throughout their stay which is within walking distance from each of the campsites. Campfires and pets are welcome. The property has only had 4 farming owners in its 110 odd years since it was first surveyed and selected in 1915. The Hillcoats, Bishops, Cotters, and now the Cooke’s. The families over the years have used the property for timber getting, dairy, beef and small cropping. The property is geologically rich with volcanic soils, sandstone escarpments full of caves and overhangs. The mighty Wrattens Falls sits to the back of the property in the National Park and is a sight to behold in full flow. It feeds the head waters of the western branch of Widgee Creek which meanders through the property. The subtropical dry rainforest clad mountains are dominated by the majestic Bunya and Hoop pines and are a testament to what once was covering the entire property before being cleared for farming. Remnant riparian creek lines are botanically rich and diverse holding Red and White Cedar, Teak, Silky oak and many other coveted timber trees harvested back in the day. There are many species of animals and birds that call Hopevale home. From water dragons, frogs and fish in the creeks, monitors, wallabies, deer, koalas, possums and phascogales in the eucalypts. Red-back wrens, pardalotes, rainbow bee-eaters, finches and quail call the open grasses home while whip birds give their iconic call in the forest. Above, birds of prey ride the thermals of the valley looking for their next meal. “We have been blessed beyond measure with a small slice of God’s wonderful creation that we would love to share with you.”

Shady or open spaces with a seasonal water hole on the property, 150mtrs from the Mary River, through the park or a 5 minute walk to town (600mtrs to the pub!). We have 5 camping sites, each suitable to any size caravans, campers, tents etc. Each site has the capacity to fit 3 caravans or equivalent and up to 10 guests. Fire pits at all sites. Please note we do not have amenities or drinking water and that you need to be self-sufficient with your own toilet/shower set up and bring everything you need with you and take out ALL waste. We have 3 private campsites to offer, all have good distance from each other with no visibility of other camps. Approximately 400m from other sites. We like to camp with room too! All sites are fenced off with a gate to drive in and keep the cattle out. Please select a site for more detailed description on what to expect and the extras it offers. Things to do - Send some golf balls into space -The creek is seasonal, only flowing after good rain. It will dry up in some conditions. Swimming in the water holes is ok, please check in the water for depth and sticks -Brisbane river is up the road (10mins) to Savages crossing or Twin Bridges. Fantastic swimming or lazing in the running water. -Push bikes, Brisbane Valley Rail Trail is 5min away if you jump on at Borallon Station Rd. Some cattle tracks for the kids to ride along in the paddock also. -Wivenhoe, Somerset Dam in the area for water sports -Wildlife watching, this paddock sustains a large variety of native animals, if you’ve got a keen eye -Bottle Tree pub is just down the road, - bit more than walking distance tho :) -Take it easy.

Other Things to Note Access to the property involves crossing a dip and a causeway . This track is almost always accessible by 2WD. Contact us regarding crossing conditions before your stay during wet weather. Toilet facilities are not available and bush toilets are NOT permitted. Campers must bring their own camping toilets and take all waste when they go. IF YOU ARE UNSURE OF YOUR CONTAINERS/TOILET FACILITIES PLKEASE MESSAGE US FOR CONFORMATION. A BUCKET IS NOT ACCEPTABLE AS IT CAN BE BLOWN OVER SPILLING CONTENTS. Campfires are permitted in designated fire pits, based on weather conditions. One part of the gravel driveway is steep, so a vehicle with some clearance is advised. ***All campers need to be self sufficient with toilet and shower.     We had a great time camping at Shane’s property over the weekend. We stayed at site 5 which is big and seperate from the other camping sites and great for privacy. The site is a quick walk across the park to the river and a 5-10 minute walk up the lane to the town. Shane dropped in to say hi and see if we needed anything which was super nice. I highly recommend this spot!

    Camp grounds were great with nice big open spaces with a short walk to the creek for a swim from all sites Deans a great bloke comes around and checks everything out and makes sure your all good but also leaves you be. He even delivered some fire wood for us as we couldn't drive being in a rooftop tent setup Only one downside we couldn't move the fire pits so camp layout postion was kind of restricted to that. Not a big deal but definitely something to look into Once the plan of toilets and showers are done the place will be 10/10 Will definitely be back for another weekend Cheers guys 👍🏻

    Great spot. Loved camping there and would definitely recommend. Jason is a great host. Communication and everything else as well were absolutely faultless. Basic toilet and shower with hot water, but it's everything you need 🙂. Seperate campsites give you a great sense of privacy, hardly saw anyone else on the property. We chose the equine campsitr and loved it. Secluded area but still only a 2min walk from amenities.

In addition, there is a sizeable General Store in Amamoor that is open Sat: 7am-7pm, Sun: 7am-3pm and Mon-Fri: 6am-7pm, and the Village Green Cafe Amamoor next to the Mary Valley Rattler train tracks. We're not embellishing just to discourage inexperienced 4WDers. These are NO JOKE. Gumtree Summit and The Gun Range are up a steep and rocky track that require techincal driving skills and a capable vehicle. These sites are very difficult to access in wet weather. You need to know what you are doing. When booking, ensure you reach each site description thoroughly and send us a message answering the vehicle capability questions prior to requesting a booking. Fuzzy miniature galloway cattle freely roam the property here. If you are not camping at the Summit sites, where they don't tend to go, you may see us driving around in our side-by-side given them lots of treats and cuddles. Also please note we have 24 sites only, however some of these sites can easily fit 40 people therefore on Hipcamp it can show lots of availability when in fact that may not be the case. We are more expensive per person than other camp sites. Please note this includes hipcamp fees and charges and you are covered by hipcamp insurance. We don’t charge for pets, nor do we charge to use our 6 onsite canoes, nor do we charge extra for hot showers or rubbish removal, we haveguest wifi. Our 1km private driveway is rough but if driven to conditions a 2wd has no issues.. Most of the time space is abundant however if choosing to come on a long weekend, Easter or New Years expect it to be a lot busier than your average weekend with larger groups camping together, however still plenty of space between groups.     Luke, Arna and the Family would like to welcome you to Yabba Ridge Farm. We own 35 beautiful acres along the banks of Yabba Creek. 3 minutes out of Imbil village, 12 minutes to Borumba Dam and surrounded by State Forests. We offer 4 sites, both powered and non-powered sites. Nestled along the banks of a pristine section of the Yabba Creek, there are large swimming holes for all water activities and shallow rapids great for the kids to play in. The Creek is home to an array of wildlife. Platypus are seen daily, plenty of bird life and a variety of fish and turtles. The backdrop is a large steep mountain that comes to the waters edge, which is where we created the name of our property "Yabba Ridge". We have a variety of animals which are behind high fences, and are very unique and spectacular to look at especially at feeding time where you can get a good look at them up close. With only 4 sites, we offer a spacious camping area, spread out all to enjoy the views of the mountain and creek. There are clean amenities, toilets and showers, as well as running water at the powered sites.

    Please notify us if you are camping with other campers who have booked a separate site so we can have you camping beside each other. During busy times, most weekend bookings are a minimum of 2 nights with 1 night bookings during the week, however occasionally we will have 1 night bookings on weekends. Check with your host to see availability on 1 night bookings. Kayaks are provided free of charge for all campers to use in Yabba Creek. Please treat them respectfully and return them back to their launching place just below the powerlines. If you wish to bring along your own kayak, you can launch them at the walkway between campsite 8 and 9 where our camp kayaks are stored, however, cars are restricted from driving down to the water edge so you will have to carry them to the water to launch them. Please note that you are responsible for your own kayak. All campsites run parallel too the creek and are situated on the upper bank of Yabba Creek. Some have creek views, the other sites have trees between the creek and their site. All have mountain views. The main access to the creek is half way along the campground between site 8 and 9. Please do not leave your car parked in the walkway as this will block the entrance to campsite 9. Unfortunately, we lost many of our creek access points due to flooding. Our property is situated between Imbil and Lake Borumba on the beautiful Yabba Creek. We have 110 acres, with campsites on 20 acres. We have 1km of creek frontage. The creek offers fishing, swimming and kayaking. If you're lucky you'll spot the platypus in the creek and there's lots of birdlife around so bring your cameras! Kayaks are supplied free for all campers to use. We just ask that you treat them with respect and return them back to their launching place once you have finished with them. It would pay to pack your reef walkers as the river is rocky in spots. There is lots of space for motorhomes and large camping vehicles to maneuver and park. Plenty of flat spots for your tent or vehicle. This campsite has access to flushing toilets (toilets are situated approx. 400m from the camp sites) and water (rainwater), but you will need to bring your own camping shower. Campfires are permitted outside of fire-ban season (please use the existing firepits). Firewood is available and can be delivered to your site by our local contractor. Cost is $20 for a generous load or $10 for a half load. The property features a gorgeous rainforest with a walking track that you can follow safely, and you can also access the state forest next door if you're up for a bigger adventure. Lake Borumba is just down the road which permits water skiing, boating, fishing and other water recreation. The town ship of Imbil is only 7 minutes away where you can visit the many cafes, bakeries, The Imbil pub, Sunday markets, Produce and hardware store, supermarket, butcher, clothing shops, hairdresser, fishing supplies, Petrol station, post office and more. We are a working cattle and horse property but we do allow pets, however pet owners will need to abide by the rules as set out under the Rules and Safety "Pets" section. Please note that there is a rifle range within hearing distance from Maluka Park and campers may at times on weekends hear gunshots. This generally only goes for a few hours.

    Guppy Gully is a part of a working dairy farm on the Mary River situated in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland near Kenilworth. We have 4 sites with direct river frontage for self-contained caravans, campers and tents. Most of the sites have the capacity to fit numerous vans. Fire pits are provided at all sites. All weather 2wd access road. Please note we do not have amenities or drinking water and that you need to be self-sufficient and bring everything you need with you and take out ALL Waste. For the consideration of other campers and my neighbours please be mindful of noise levels. Firewood available by the bag to purchase. Smoking discouraged for the comfort of guests. The Mary River water level is determined by rain fall. We are just 10 mins down the road from Booloumba Creek and Falls and the famous Kenilworth Bakery. Kenilworth and 10 minutes from Conondale National Park and the Booloumba Creek and Falls. The farm has been in my family for nearly 80 years, four generations and these campsites have been hosting people for a very long time. I remember staying there as a little girl with a girl guide group.

It is a must do so you can see what makes this area so popular. There are deep swimming holes as well as shallow areas for the little ones. Our access to property and sites is not affected by heavy rain or minor flooding *** Please note there is a rifle range within a few kilometres of the farm. You can hear the distant echos when range is open during some weekends FYI *** Yabba creek Farm is one of three Hipcamps along this stretch of Yabba Creek. To the west is Maluka Park - runner up Hipcamp 2022 and finalist 2023 in Australia. To the east is Yabba Ridge with an abundance of unique animals you can see across the paddock from Yabba Creek Farm. These campsites are really hidden gems. Be sure to book early as we are gaining popularity with limited bookings available. Camps are spaced out along a manicured 300m creek frontage. There is a total of 1km creek frontage on Yabba Creek Farm for your to explore. Attractions include kayaking - provided and are free to use, hiking in adjacent Imbil state forest and wildlife watching. Platypus are frequently sighted in the Yabba creek. Lungfish can also be viewed while kayaking or snorkelling. Koalas, wallabies, gonnas and an abundance of bird life are also commonly sighted. Dogs are welcome on very strict conditions as we have farm animals including, chickens, horses and a turkey, so must remain secure on a leash at all times. Dogs with hunting or chasing nature are not welcome for the safety of our animals and wildlife. Porta toilet available. BYO if you wish to camp further away from main area. Second hire toilet during peak season. Campfires are welcome in the fire pit provided. Weekends and holidays we provide farm experiences for the kids with feeding and petting with ponies and pony ride for the little kids, chickens and turkey.     Come and Camp at Noosa Equestrian Centre, a 188 acre property in the heart of the Noosa regions, with lush greenery and a peaceful tree lined creek.
