Deep Dime

27 sites · RVs, Tents400 acres · Glan Devon, QLD
Deep Dime is a 400 acre cattle, fodder and irrigated grain farm. Our primary crop is Lucerne for hay. Creekside Camp (our main camping area) is relatively flat, well drained sites along a creek that usually runs. This area offers multiple composting toilets and wood powered hot water bush shower and outdoor bath. There is also a large permanent deep waterhole a short distance from this camping area. We have temporarily paused out Hill camp sites, due to continuing property maintenance and improvements. The Hilltop on our place is a lovely spot to watch the sunset with a glass of your favorite beverage, and even if you are camped at Creekside, you are welcome to walk or drive up to hilltop. Just remember we are a working property, so leave gates as you find them. Our property is an easy drive from wineries, large dams, Bunya Mountains, art galleries, state forests, mountain bike tracks, and scenic Kingaroy. We are dog friendly as long as dogs are not aggressive and well controlled.

Bellavue

5 sites · Lodging, RVs, Tents150 acres · Bella Creek, QLD
Welcome to Bellavue, a very quiet, private and peaceful spot where campers can immerse themselves in nature. The large, grassed campsites offer views of beautiful rolling hills and our dam and there is access to the flowing creek. Enjoy walks around the property and exploring the creeks along with spotting the many birds and wildlife that visit the property. The farm also has horses and cattle grazing to observe. The region is surrounded by state forests and national parks so there is plenty of beautiful places to explore nearby. Campfires are welcome but must be contained in an above ground fire pit, please bring your own fire wood. Campers will need to be self sufficient with their own toilet/shower facilities and must take all waste with them on departure. Your pets are welcome to join you but please ensure they are kept on a leash at all times so they don't upset the livestock or wildlife.  Children 5 and under camp free. Only sites 2 3 and 4 are suitable for camper trailer/vans. So all guests can enjoy the peace and quite of this beautiful valley no amplified music please! And finally some directions. Drive to Imbil via the 244 exit off the Bruce Highway if your heading north. Go straight through town headed for Borumba Dam. After crossing Yabba No. 6 creek, turn right onto the dirt Bella Creek Rd.  A couple of Ks along turn right onto Little Bella Creek Rd. and we will be on the left with a large sign BELLAVUE like in our profile pix.  Its 4 ks from the bitumen. Drive up to the big house at the back and I will show you around. If you get lost the first banjo lesson is free. Good luck!

Jimna Base Camp, Jimna

37 sites · Lodging, RVs, Tents6 acres · Jimna, QLD
Our venue and campgrounds are situated at the old Jimna State School property. The school closed in 2009 with the last students attending in 2006. It was then sold by the Qld government and has been rezoned as a Camping, Recreation and Events Venue. We have retained all the old school facilities for our campers to enjoy. There is a children’s playground and multi-purpose tennis court for everyone to enjoy. We provide tennis rackets, balls and basketballs free of charge to our campers. There is also no charge or fee to use the court. On most Sundays afternoons (weather permitting), we have social tennis where everyone is welcome to join in. The old school toilet blocks have the addition of hot showers and all toilet facilities are the flushing type. Campfires are permitted and there are small mobile fire pits provided so wherever you set up camp you can have your campfire right beside you. Note: There are no ground fires permitted and at certain times of the year Qld Rural Fire brigade may enforce a total fire ban. We have our “Caffeine Injection” kiosk on-site for the weekends and school holidays. Get your morning caffeine fix as well as bagged ice, firewood, ice creams, snacks, cold drinks etc etc Then we have the old school principals residence aka “The Bush Holiday House“. It is fully self-contained and all linen is provided. Just BYO food & drinks. We offer this for one night stays and longer. Jimna is a tiny town immersed in the Australian bush; with nearby gorges, ravines, creeks and waterfalls - some wild & spectacular places to see. What better place to base yourself and explore our part of the Conondale National Park, Jimna State Forest... be it on foot, horseback, motorcycle, 4x4 or mountain bike!! Holiday/Peak Season rates may vary.

Hilltop On Macguire

1 site · RV, Tent5 acres · Wattle Camp, QLD
My block "Hilltop on Macguire" is just that: located at the top of a hill with views out to the east and west to Kingaroy and the surrounding districts. Ideal for people seeking a country-based escape. Pretty. Peaceful. Private with plenty of shade and space. The region has much to offer, and the block is perfectly located to access being approximately 15minutes from the town of Kingaroy which is a well-developed country town. At the front there is the number 92 which has been marked off close to the entrance to the driveway. The block itself is flat at the top. So, no problems with being able to set up a camping area. The block is currently home to wildlife such as wombats, wallabies, and a multitude of birdlife. Both properties on either side of the property are uninhabited and the neighbours on the opposite side of the road are quiet, respectful and discreet. So, no excess noise is appreciated. The front of the block has been recently cleared, so there is plenty of space for campers to set up and be able to turn their vehicles around to enter and exit. There are no amenities, so the block is only suitable for hicampers who are fully self contained.
