Spacious campsites are beside or near a massive dam that attracts a great variety of bird life and the amazing sunsets are different each day. 🌅 Three spacious spots are available a few short meters from the edge of a large dam (sites can be seen from the farm road) with another completely secluded site amongst the bushland. Bird watchers dream with the constant residents and seasonal birds flying in for the dam. Swim, kayak, catch and release fish, throw in a RedClaw pot or hunt for mussel clams. Do some hiking or 4 wheel driving around the hundred acres with our 4 wheel driving tracks. Farm Animal Feeding is available (Extra Booking) where campers can chat with the menagerie of animals we have on the farm such as Clydesdale horses, camels, sheep, cows, chickens, buffalo, peafowl, ducks and friendly geese. We are 10mins from Dimbulah or 20mins to Mareeba with their many attractions. We can tell you all about the many attractions and activities this area has to offer. Please Note: Cattle Creek and Waterfront Campsites are accessible by 2WD. The other campsites are 4WD access only and with off road campers/caravans only. These are self contained sites so please take your own shower and toilet facilities and take away all waste. Well behaved dogs are allowed but must be supervised at all times for the protection of the sheep, poultry, wildlife and not to be brought to the house yard. Sorry no motorbikes or ATV’s. Our 20-acre exotic fruit farm backs onto World heritage rainforest and provides a relaxing base for which to explore the wet tropics south of Cairns. We have a beautiful freshwater swimming hole down the road, and also the Mulgrave River is very close if you want to do some fishing.The camping area is large, grassy and reasonably level, with space closer to the tree line, and space more out in the open. There is a firepit provided, and plenty of firewood around the place for you to help yourself to. We also welcome four-legged family members! We have had recent sightings of cassowary on our property so keep an eye out, you might just see one!We prefer self-contained campers, who have their own amenities, but we do have a toilet and shower up at the main house (about 50 metres away) you are welcome to use if needed. This is an unused bathroom downstairs so you will still have privacy. Access into the property is not suitable for large motorhomes. Entry will be too small for vehicles approx 8.5 metres long and 3.5 metres high.We grow exotic fruit on the property including limes, pomelos, mangosteens and more. When it's in season, you're welcome to sample some! Gordonvale is the nearest town, with a quiet historic charm, just 15 minutes drive away, while Cairns is around 25 minutes.

Plenty of room to turn your vehicle around and a lockable gate means your campsite is secure. We welcome self-contained campers who bring their own camping toilet/shower and drinking water. Our front paddock is visited nightly by lots and lots as wallabies. We have fantastic sunrises and sunsets here. You’ll really love the great views we have towards the east and west. Barron River Getaway at Kuranda

Surrounded by 40,000 acres of world heritage rainforest, 15 minutes outside the village of Kuranda, you will camp next to the mighty Barron River. This place is totally private and you have access to a sandy beach where swimming is safe and completely secluded. It's a great place for kayaking and stand up paddle boarding. There is a 360 degree view from the property, with nothing made by man in the way. When we purchased this property 37 years ago and built our unique home, it was denuded cattle land, and now we are surrounded by the most beautiful rainforest. We planted approximately 8000 trees.! We have 4 sites available all close to the river, and can provide water as well as access to our toilet. We are agile wallaby carers, with the rescued joeys being released back into the forest from here. After a day of kayaking or hiking or exploring the area we also offer a sunset massage (as available ) by a local masseuse who lives on the property. Watch the stars in the night sky at your own campfire.

Come and stay at our beautiful 200 acre farm, surrounded by the Mulgrave River and only a 10 minute boat trip to the magnificent Russell Heads. There is high tide boat ramp access and your choice of river front camping areas. Perfect spot for fishing, birdwatching, crocodile spotting and relaxing in the outdoors (follow the Host's safety advice re crocs). We are around 30 minutes south of Cairns and there is plenty of great things to see in the surrounding region with national parks, beaches and waterfalls all nearby. Campers are required to be self sufficient with their own toilet/shower facilities and must take all waste with them on departure. Campfires are welcome but please ensure they are kept contained and you respect any fire restrictions in place. Sorry, no pets.

Hectic Valley Farm is located at Mutchilba on 100 acres within the beautiful Atherton Tablelands, North Queensland. Spacious campsites are beside or near a massive dam that attracts a great variety of bird life and the amazing sunsets are different each day. 🌅 Three spacious spots are available a few short meters from the edge of a large dam (sites can be seen from the farm road) with another completely secluded site amongst the bushland. Bird watchers dream with the constant residents and seasonal birds flying in for the dam. Swim, kayak, catch and release fish, throw in a RedClaw pot or hunt for mussel clams. Do some hiking or 4 wheel driving around the hundred acres with our 4 wheel driving tracks. Farm Animal Feeding is available (Extra Booking) where campers can chat with the menagerie of animals we have on the farm such as Clydesdale horses, camels, sheep, cows, chickens, buffalo, peafowl, ducks and friendly geese. We are 10mins from Dimbulah or 20mins to Mareeba with their many attractions. We can tell you all about the many attractions and activities this area has to offer. Please Note: Cattle Creek and Waterfront Campsites are accessible by 2WD. The other campsites are 4WD access only and with off road campers/caravans only. These are self contained sites so please take your own shower and toilet facilities and take away all waste. Well behaved dogs are allowed but must be supervised at all times for the protection of the sheep, poultry, wildlife and not to be brought to the house yard. Sorry no motorbikes or ATV’s. Our 20-acre exotic fruit farm backs onto World heritage rainforest and provides a relaxing base for which to explore the wet tropics south of Cairns. We have a beautiful freshwater swimming hole down the road, and also the Mulgrave River is very close if you want to do some fishing.The camping area is large, grassy and reasonably level, with space closer to the tree line, and space more out in the open. There is a firepit provided, and plenty of firewood around the place for you to help yourself to. We also welcome four-legged family members! We have had recent sightings of cassowary on our property so keep an eye out, you might just see one!We prefer self-contained campers, who have their own amenities, but we do have a toilet and shower up at the main house (about 50 metres away) you are welcome to use if needed. This is an unused bathroom downstairs so you will still have privacy. Access into the property is not suitable for large motorhomes. Entry will be too small for vehicles approx 8.5 metres long and 3.5 metres high.We grow exotic fruit on the property including limes, pomelos, mangosteens and more. When it's in season, you're welcome to sample some! Gordonvale is the nearest town, with a quiet historic charm, just 15 minutes drive away, while Cairns is around 25 minutes.

Tropical Woopen Creek Camping

You will have access to our beautiful peaceful surroundings, with adequate shelter under some lovely big trees park your camper or pitch a swag. We also have a nice running creek that you can take a cooling down soak in or just enjoy watching our many wild life that are present throughout the creek, fish , eels and turtles. It's truly a very private and relaxing spot to chill out and enjoy camping for a few days or whatever suits your needs while passing the area. Plenty of fantastic swimming holes nearby including Josephine falls and Babinda boulders very popular spots for tourist and the locals. Site 1 right down on the creek large grass flat space big enough for two families to set up camp. The creek runs around the outside so there are a number of viewing points to see the wildlife mentioned above. A set of solar lights hang over the firepit area allowing for more light while cooking on our wonderful swinging hotplate BBQ. Site 2 Our newer spot work in progress not so ideal for camper trailers. your situated under our tree line away from the main creek but still with your own small dirt track down to the creek. A smaller paver firepit, plenty fine for sitting around an open fire while watching the stars at night. So please check by internal message before confirming your booking that way we can confirm a spot while discussing your needs to ensure you have a clear view of your camping area. Onsite we have our shared outhouse porta toilet which is positioned in the middle of both camping areas for everyone's convenience. Take note of our extras available when confirming your booking. Miallo Lakehouse is situated on a private farm allocated along a beautiful rainforest stream that is perfect for swimming and relaxing. The location is perfect as a base camp to explore this fantastic region, just 8 minutes from Mossman, 20 minutes from Port Douglas, and 20 minutes from the Daintree. Sites are located by the stream and are well-shaded in the afternoon and morning, but with enough sunny space to charge solar panels. Adjacent to the campsites are horse and cattle paddocks, where you'll see our animals grazing. All campers need to be self-contained with their own camp toilet. There is however water available. Well-behaved pets are welcome too!
