Weekend Trip to Samford Mini Farm & Creek Camping

We camped on sites 6 & 7 with 5 adults & 5 children, the serenity was great, slight road noise but did not bother any of us at all there was a fantastic amount of bird life to listen to that over shone the cars. Kids spent a lot of time either in with the animals (ducklings were my son’s favourite) or swimming in the creek, we took little blow up boats & that was a hit! Cafe food was delicious, Moreton Bay Bugs were soooo good! Then they also had cocktails for $10 at 5pm & again so delicious. Both Steve and Ingrid were both so friendly & approachable. Only thing I’d pick on if I had to was the state of the bathrooms, old & not very clean but I will still be back despite this as the rest of the place was so good 😊

Weekend Trip to Bindarah Downs

Upon my arrival, Shayne greeted me and guided us to our camp site giving a detailed run down of the property. The surrounding views are as amazing as the well maintained campsite and I recommend going g for a stroll at both sunset and sunrise. There are 3 levels of spacious campgrounds with a beautiful flowing creek winding its way around the entire property. I loved camping right beside the creek and falling asleep to the running sound of water and no cicadas. When campfires were out, the night sky was lit up so brightly with thousands of stars and the Milky Way. This property is perfect for those with dogs and I imagine kids would love taking a dip in the stream and having a swing on the many that hang around the campsite. I can’t wait to come back and as much as I’d like to keep this place quiet for my own benefit, it’s one of the best campsites I’ve been to. Thanks Shayne and Kim for your hospitality

We loved our stay here! The hosts were lovely, the site is beautiful and it’s located so close to everything. We went with our 2.5 year old and 8 month old, and stayed in a tent near the creek. The 2.5 year loved playing in the creek, the petting farm and bouncy castle were also a hit. We loved the on-site cafe, which had delicious food and great coffee. We have already recommended to friends and will definitely be returning.

This place is incredible! The hospitality from Steve and Ingrid was fantastic and we enjoyed our stay with them. The campsites were spacious and the kids loved playing in the creeks and exploring the site. Highly recommend and we will definitely be back!

We loved everything about this place, The cafe is the perfect spot to sit and have a coffee or a bite to eat while you watch the children with the animals, jumping castle and playground. We ate dinner at the cafe on Saturday night and all we could say was wow! The food is sensational and the cocktails went down a treat. Ingrid and Steve should be very proud of what they have created here.

I did a 2 night stay with 3 kids and 2 dogs. The stay was amazing with a lot to do for the kids. The facilities were clean and well maintained. After talking to the owner it seems like this place will only get better. The food was amazing and I would strongly recommend the pancakes. This will be a regular spot for me and my family.

Absolutely fantastic hosts and immaculately maintained campground. Was going to share my pics of my dog and us having a ball but I’ve lost them off my phone. I can’t speak highly enough of these hosts and the lengths they go to, to make your experience safe and enjoyable. Just a great camp all round. Safe for solo female. You hear the road up the back a tiny bit and may see the white body of a truck here and there through the trees, but honestly it was comfortable and didn’t bother us in the slightest. It rained the whole time and we nearly got flooded in, despite this, I would do it again, and it was well worth it. Will be back again after Easter chaos to pick up the stuff I left behind. Thanks guys!

Had a great time here, all be it in the wet! Would definitely come back again and use the canoe that's available and have a fire in the big fire pit. Felt like being in the middle of nowhere and yet right on the sunshine coast.

Beautiful camping spot with river access and plenty of space for the kids to run. Loved the large outdoor kitchen area and undercover fire place.. hosts are lovely and very friendly. Great facilities. Will be back!

What a great camp spot with a fantastic host. Although it was a bit wet, we enjoyed our time at the site. Beautiful freshwater creek flowing through. Our dog loved this spot. We did need some help on the way out, and Neville was there to help. Thankyou Neville we appreciate and will return on our next travel through the area.

We had a very relaxing time at Michaels site! There were lots of cows and horses to see and his dog Sam is the cutest. :) It is a wonderful plot of land and would highly recommend staying!

Lovely camp area , great facilities, amazing camp kitchen. We camped at boat ramp 22 which is away from the main camp area, we are self contained so didn’t need to use facilities. Would be great for families ..beautiful property.

4 nights at Christmas Creek Bush Retreat

The camping ground was beautiful green grass on every site. The running creek gave us hours of fun and so refreshing. Carolyn is so friendly and came every afternoon to check if we needed anything. Big bags of firewood were delivered if we needed them. We will definitely be back. The huge sites meant we had plenty of room between sites. This Hipcamp is second to none. And we had an amazing time and just so relaxing. Would definitely recommend to anyone who enjoys camping.

1 night at 1770 Eco Camp, Agnes Water

Our original campsite was unavailable due to construction works however our Hosts Mike and Laura couldn’t have been more accommodating. They resolved the issue within minutes and moved us to the Grass Trees campsite. All we can say is wow! The views from this site are amazing. The great amenities and very well kept- top class. We highly recommend this campsite and definitely be back (maybe we will even book a teepee) 🏕️🩷

Was tranquil listening to the running creek right by our camp site on the lower level. Nice & shady. 3 sites spaced apart for privacy. The grounds were immaculate and the owners lovely and informative and directions were easy. No mobile reception with optus but was nice & relaxing to be offgrid.

This place was beautiful. Bernie was super helpful and friendly when we arrived, giving us all of the info we needed. The spot is quiet and secluded, we didn’t see any other campers all weekend at the site - just the cows, birds and platypus. We will be back!

Joyful Valley is a rural bush property with level grass areas surrounded by trees. Easy access to major roads, shops, tourist area’s and beaches. There are water billabongs and a creek with tiny fish, lotus flowers. Kangaroos,, goannas, horses, lots of butterflies and bird life to see. Bee hives and horses are onsite. This is a super convenient location. The Bruce Highway is opposite where the property then stretches far back. Enjoy bush camping and being able to stretch out with space but with all your conveniences so close by, 3minute drive to the uni and shops. The beautiful beaches of the Sunshine Coast are within a very easy reach along with Aussie World and Australia Zoo. A new bike path now links you directly with Aussie World and Banana Benders Pub. Cost is for 1 vehicle and up to 4 people per site, for more vehicles and guests please add this on in the extras section - or contact host, - or booking another site and we’ll join you at one. Campers will need to be self contained with their own toilet/shower facilities and take all waste and rubbish with them on departure. Sorry, we strictly cannot allow pets.

We are conveniently located only 2km from the Cunningham Hwy and are set in a quiet bush location surrounded by the spectacular scenery of the Scenic Rim. We have a range of accommodation including powered and unpowered camp sites, group camp areas, bunk style cabins and a fully self-contained cabin. There is never a shortage of things to do, you can take a canoe or boat out for a cruise on the lake or try your luck at some fishing. Moogerah is well known for its large Bass & Yellow belly. There is a good bushwalk at the property that takes you out to Striker point and into the gorge waterfall with spectacular views along the way. If you have a 4wd you can take a short drive up to Spicers Gap National Park. Here there is a short walk out to the Governors Chair lookout with spectacular views of the Fassifern Valley and beyond. We currently don't have a boat ramp however once you have launched your boat at the public boat ramp we have a nice bay in front of the campground where you can anchor your boat.

Somerset Dam is 40minutes away and you are able to use your own motorised equipment there. PLEASE if booking individually but you intend to join a larger group please message me on hipcamp after you have booked telling me the names of people you would like to camp with so I can allocate a space large enough to fit you all. Also please note we have 24 sites only, however some of these sites can easily fit 40 people therefore on Hipcamp it can show lots of availability when in fact that may not be the case. We are more expensive per person than other camp sites. Please note this includes hipcamp fees and charges and you are covered by hipcamp insurance. We don’t charge for pets, nor do we charge to use our 6 onsite canoes, nor do we charge extra for hot showers or rubbish removal, we haveguest wifi. Our 1km private driveway is rough but if driven to conditions a 2wd has no issues.. Most of the time space is abundant however if choosing to come on a long weekend, Easter or New Years expect it to be a lot busier than your average weekend with larger groups camping together, however still plenty of space between groups. You won’t ever have to trip over your neighbours tent ropes here. Eco friendly lakefront and near to lake front sites. Please don’t arrive expecting lakefront, our sites are all near to and Depending on group size not everyone will have lake frontage. We can never guarantee requests. We assign sites based on numbers and camping equipment. Furtherest camp spot is approximately 500m from amenities block, however porta loos are located in the remote site but it’s a walk or drive back to the showers. Flushing toilets and 2 hot showers available in main area. Please note: toilet cartridges are not to be emptied into our toilets. Take it home or dispose at dump point at Woodford Showgrounds We provide unpowered Bush camping, and we try to keep the camp sites as natural as possible, no flat pads. Please note if you’re wanting a function the price is $5500 which gives you sole use of the property up to 70 campers for 2 nights. Book a horse riding adventure with Hucknall Horses only 10mins away or drive on up to Hervey Bay and go whale watching or day trip to the incredible Fraser Island or Rainbow Beach. 4wd in one of the many local forestry areas and see the brumby herds. Buranga Farm is a small organic family-run farm on 60 acres in the Noosa hinterland only ten minutes from Peregian Beach. The property is largely flat with a hill on the Eastern side and a ridgeline at the very back of the property. There are plenty of cleared open areas as well as a mix of lightly treed and native vegetation. Site one and two are located on the hillside looking west to Mount Cooroy and are best suited for couples. Sites three and four share a large open grassed area the flows down to the main dam that offers great swimming. All areas of the property are open to campers to walk through and explore. The farm comprises a series of ponds near the road that are in the process of being renovated for Red Claw Crayfish. There are fruit trees and veggie gardens around the house, as well as a horse and house cow that guests are welcome to interact with. The balance of the land is either grazed by our small herd of Murray Grey Cattle or set aside for regeneration. Dog friendly. Simle composting/drop toilet available.

Andrew Drynan Park-Camp with a view

Andrew Drynan Park is situated on Running Creek, 47 km south of Beaudesert and 19 km from Rathdowney on the Lions Road. The drive from Brisbane will take a couple of hours. It has an impressive backdrop formed by Mt Chinghee. Running Creek is a lovely flowing creek which is very inviting in summer and the park offers a great bush camp. Toilets, BBQs, picnic tables and swimming. BYO drinking water. Pets to be restrained. No showers—a dip in the creek will keep you clean but please don’t use soap or detergent. Directions: At Rathdowney, turn left into Running Creek Rd and travel approximately 17km south east. Campers & Day Trippers Rules: The Park is for everyone to enjoy, so please adhere to a few simple guidelines while enjoying this beautiful park. By using this park you agree to the following rules. All vehicles entering the park must observe 10 Km per hour speed limit. Fires must be extinguished prior to departure. Park users must clean up their area when leaving, by taking all rubbish, including food scraps and disposable nappies with them, so the next users can enjoy the Park as well. Do not burn your rubbish. It must be taken with you! The disposal of nappies in the grass around the waterline, and in fire pits, is a serious risk to human health, the health of the creek, surrounding stock and the ecosystem! Please be respectful of other camper’s space & privacy! Do not set up on top of other campers. Generator use is restricted to 4 hours per day between the hours of 2pm to 6pm. Dogs must be on short leads and confined to your campsite at all times. No music or noise after 10pm, noise level must at all times be at an acceptable level so as not to disturb other users. No motorcycles other than on the formed roads or when moving between your campsite and the road. No stock whips, firearms or weapons of any sort, chainsaws, drones or fireworks allowed in the park. No use of detergents, soaps or shampoos in creek. No washing dishes or clothing in creek. No hitting of Golf balls. No cricket with cricket ball (tennis ball ok). No swings to be tied to trees. Anyone who is non-compliant may be directed by park management to leave the park and if so must leave without delay. Non-compliance will be referred to local Police and you may face legal action for trespassing. Park management reserves the right to refuse anyone entry to and use of the park. Riverdell is 166 acres located on the eastern side of the Blackall Range extending down to the Mooloolah River headwaters. Escape off grid to enjoy the peace and quiet, watch the cattle grazing in the paddocks, spot the native birdlife or cuddle up by the fire in your own secluded paradise. Sunrises are spectacular while sunsets by open campfire are also a highlight of the Riverdell experience. Take a short walk up the creek, west of The Junction carpark above the camp site to see some scenic rockpools and waterfalls in the cool of the rainforest canopy. Walking boots are highly recommended. There is plenty to do and see in the area including exploring nearby Mary Cairncross Scenic Reserve, Gardeners Falls, Kondalilla National Park, Australia Zoo, indulge in a tasting at the Barrel at Clouds Vineyard opposite the front gate, stroll through Maleny Botanic Gardens & Bird World or take a short drive to some of Australia’s most beautiful beaches. Access during daylight hours via 4WD ONLY with AT or MT off-road Tyres, RT Tyres are not permitted due to the steepness of the tracks. Off-road camper trailers are suitable for some campsites (max weight 1500kg and max length 5m restrictions apply). Caravans are not permitted due to the steep terrain. A Portaloo is located between the Ocean View 1 and 2 sites and a second Portaloo is located centrally and within walking distance to The Knoll, Upper Plateau, Valley View and Little Bunya campsites. There are no facilities at The Junction, and you MUST be self-contained. Riverdell is dog friendly, off leash if trained, and recommend tick treatment before arrival. For safety, no arrivals after dark unless arranged prior.
