We are not far from The Blue Lake, The little blue is also close by, and is perfect for swimming in summer. The Umpherston Caves is literally just down the road, and is wonderful for a picnic, or on dusk feeding the possums. Sites are approx 20m x 20m, lined with trees, perfect for pitching a tent, parking a van, camper trailer, RV, or even a bus! You can even bring your boat! We are only 25 minutes away from Port MacDonnell, put your boat in, go fishing or just enjoy the beach. One van/tent per site (unless negotiated prior). Our sites are all located in a back paddock, it's quiet and peaceful. We have sites available to cater for RVs, vans and tents. Must be self-contained (no facilities provided, must dispose of waste at approved dumpsites in town), take your rubbish with you; dogs are welcome if they are friendly and well behaved.

Six Strings is a small vineyard, approx. 6 acres, located in the McLaren Vale wine region on the beautiful Fleurieu Peninsula of South Australia, a very popular holiday destination for locals and travelers alike. We are a short drive to the local stunning beaches of Port Willunga, Silver Sands and Sellicks and of course the many McLaren Vale wineries. Also within walking distance is the historical main street of Aldinga where you’ll find the Pub, boutique Brewery, Cafes, Restaurants and shops. Enjoy a wine and/or barrel tasting at a cost of $10 pp (redeemable on any purchase) during your stay - please advise at time of booking For the complete wine lovers experience why not stay with us during vintage (Mar/Apr, depending when grapes are ready to be picked) and get “hands-on” in every stage of wine making from picking, crushing, fermenting to barrel. Enjoy one on one access to our winemaker during the whole process. We welcome pets however they must be on leash or contained at all times. We have a small Cavoodle that has free range access to the property and will likely want to befriend you (and your food!)

Our 40 acres is 2WD accessible and set just off the coast in beautiful McLaren Vale, South Australia. The camp is set in a flat, cleared area on the rear of our working family property. With ample space to spread out and put your feet up, the River Red Gum trees also provide natural shade and shelter. Perfect for setting up tents, hammocks or a slack line! Along with local kangaroos, you'll likely spot our small flock of sheep in the paddock nearby or the neighbouring horses up the hill. Ask us about our small batch wine and take advantage of being in the heart of wine country - the nearest cellar door is only a 3 minute drive away! After an afternoon of wine tasting, drive 10 minutes to the beach and enjoy a sunset over the water. Tomorrow, choose your own adventure with more wining and dining, swimming and surfing, or walking one of McLaren Vale's stunning trails. On a Saturday, you might find yourself at the Willunga Farmers Market (5 min drive) which runs each week from 8am to Midday and offers a variety of local goods and produce. We have a BEACH camp site available that offer spectacular ocean views of the wild south coast. Campers will have access to a pit toilet during their stay. There is a 2 night maximum stay. You will find plenty of sightseeing opportunities and interesting places to visit within easy reach of Hanson Bay Wildlife Sanctuary. Although much of the western end of Kangaroo Island was severely impacted by the January 2020 bushfires, the uniquely Australian story of rebirth and regeneration after fire is compelling. Much of the western end of Kangaroo Island is covered in parks and reserves and it is often referred to as the natural end of the Island. You will find large areas of pristine natural bushland, numerous native wildlife, spectacular, rugged coastal cliffs and beautiful seascapes and beaches. Throughout the wilderness areas you will also discover old buildings and ruins which have been preserved because of their historical role in the development of the island. And if that is not enough to hold your interest, you can swim in the bay, fish from a sandy beach, dive some ship wrecks, surf some big waves, go sand boarding or go bush walking, Whatever your interest, you will find plenty of things to do on your next holiday at the Hanson Bay Wildlife Sanctuary. FLINDERS CHASE NATIONAL PARK The Flinders Chase National Park covers much of the western end of Kangaroo Island. The park has a diverse range of wildlife including Platypus, Kangaroos, Koalas and Cape Barren Geese. Flinders Chase offers stunning coastal landscapes, vast areas of wilderness and a variety of recreational opportunities. There is a network of walking trails throughout the park providing you with numerous bushwalking opportunities. REMARKABLE ROCKS Remarkable Rocks is an impressive cluster of sculpted granite boulders perched on a huge rounded granite dome that drops steeply away to the surging seas some 70 metres below. ADMIRALS ARCH Admirals Arch is a spectacular archway formed by the relentless waves pounding the cliffs and cutting a path through the cliffs. You are free to watch the camels in the paddock from behind the fenceline. If you are after a more up and personal experience with the beautiful beasts, you can book a Morning Milking Tour or a Camel Safari in our electric buggy.
