My family and I booked for two nights here , two Nights was not enough so we booked an extra night. Could have easily stayed longer . We loved it, the grass is so lush and green. Leigh was a very friendly and helpful host. He gave good suggestions for local attractions and even provided some fruit from his garden. We really enjoyed our time there. It had a nice view and was very private and peaceful.

2 nights at Stockyard Plains, The Riverland

We had a great time at stockyard plains. The site was nice and secluded but still had some luxuries like a flushable toilet and sink with running water to prep meals and clean up. Leanne and the family were super helpful and our boys loved meeting the animals, going on a horse ride and playing with their young boys. We also found that this was a good base to explore some of the Barossa’s wineries and other great areas in the River Lands. We will definitely be back and will stay a bit longer.

Gorgeous spot, very peaceful, nice to be surrounded by animals and the view is outstanding. Laurise is lovely to deal with and made sure we knew everything we needed to and allowed us to extend our stay. Was a highlight of our trip!!

We just spent an amazing week camping at this beautiful cherry farm! Our spot was nice and grassy with plenty of room for our kids to play. Our Host Warren & his lovely wife were very welcoming and gave lots of information & great places to see in the gorgeous Adelaide Hills area. I've had a great experience at Eckert’s Old Place. Upon arrival, it felt like time travel to the past and the Cabin was the cherry on top. Chris and Phill are great hosts and have done an amazing job preserving history and retelling the story of that place with such pleasant details, it left me truly impressed. Beautiful sunrise and spectacular night sky just to make the entire experience even better. I couldn't recommend more.

Pymbroke Camp

Our property is located in the rocky outcrops of the Bremer Ranges and is on the Bremer River in Rockleigh. This site was once a overnight yard for the sheep farmers who were passing through the area. We have three separate locations for campers to choose from. The Gums- surrounded by small gum trees right near the Bremer River. The Carob- this site is situated further back from the river and is surrounded by mulberry trees. Lastly we have The Sticks- this site is behind the scrubby bushed and requires tight access and is more suited to tents and swags. The decent into camp is quite narrow and steep so please drive carefully. We are 45 minute drive from the Lavender Federation Trail which is a popular walking track in the region. We are only 30 minutes drive from Monarto Conservation Park which is a popular spot for walking trails and picnics. Monarto is also home to a Safari Park which is the largest Safari Park in Australia and home to lots of interesting animals. We have 2 toilets available but please BYO toilet paper. From the 1st May 2025 fires are allowed. & portable firepits are available for your use Sorry, no pets.

We are a short walk to Wotton's Scrub (Kenneth Stirling Conservation Park) and close to Hahndorf, Oakbank and Stirling. Eckert’s Old Place

We are a Poll Merino sheep stud and a wheat/barley cropping farm at Emu Downs in the Mid North of SA. We have resurrected this character old workers quarters which we've turned into a rustic, peaceful abode for you to enjoy. Sleeps four (double bed, single bed and old miners couch,). Bring your own bedding. There is a flushing external toilet and a bush shower (ie: a shower bag, provided). The room with the open fire can be utilised as a kitchen/living area. We've provided crockery, cutlery, glasses, kettles and a camp oven. There is running cold rainwater into the sink. Cooking can be done on the open fire, or use the small camp gas cookers. There is also a gas BBQ in the outdoor room. If you are really brave, try your hand at camp oven cooking in the campfire. There is no power, only lighting provided from a small solar panel/battery. Extra guests welcome in tents, swags or vans adjacent to the cottage. To ensure only one group of campers at a time, THE COTTAGE HAS TO BE BOOKED FIRST, then book the extra campers through the additional campsites listing. Eckert's Old Place is within an easy drive to the Clare Valley wine regions and historic Robertstown, Burra and Eudunda. Campfires welcome when not in fireban season. You can order a wheelbarrow load for $30, or bring your own. Dogs are permitted, but please understand, we are a sheep stud and need to ensure no disturbance from dogs. So we really do have the best of both worlds; stunning views, peaceful surroundings and award winning wineries and eateries close by. And after a day of touring the region make sure you're back in time to watch the sun go down because the sunsets are spectacular. So don't forget to pack your comfy camp chair, a bottle of wine or beer,and a cheese platter and get ready to relax and unwind at The Landing at Hay Valley. The Riverland is an amazing place to visit, full of so many surprises! The variety in the landscape, from harsh limestone plains to beautiful rolling sandhills, to the beauty of the Murry River. There is so much wildlife to see especially when it comes to bird watching! And the area is full of history! In every town you will discover many historical facts and buildings, machines etc. We even have histroy right here on our property!-ruins of an old school. Oh, do I hear you love taking your horse out for trail rides? Well, here's the perfect place for that too! At the campsite - approx 2km away from the farmhouse - you have the privilege of being surrounded by natural scrublands and habitats on the plains. See our mallee, acacias, sugar woods, grevilleas, honeyeaters, wrens, finches, kangaroos, emus & more. And don't forget the stars!! Our night sky is amazing due to very low light interference. At times, wake up to the sounds of sheep bleating and drinking from the trough a few hundred meters away. We have a central campfire area for each site and a double sink connected to river water for washing up and a large prep area on sites 1 & 2. Also on site 1 & 2, just a short walk from the camp fire is an outdoor flushing toilet with hand basin-a luxury for a station stay! Often there are things happening on the farm. Feel welcome to ask if there is anything you can be a part of to add to your holiday experience! We may be moving sheep, shearing, crutching, fencing, feeding the farm animals, milking our house goats etc. Even come for a horse ride (further info in 'Extras")! Well behaved dogs are welcome, but please discuss this with us prior to booking and they must be on a lead at all time. Sites are family friendly. Visit historic Marble Hill residence on open days, or enjoy many of the many events the Adelaide hills has on offer. ( Medieval fair / Adelaide rally / SALA / bay to Birdwood / Anzac / country fairs to name a few ) Enjoy pure Marble Hill spring Water ... Roast some chestnuts * over the campfire or gather some wild blackberries* , or mushrooms *. ( * in season ) . Pls Note :- Campers are provided a basic toilet / waste disposal pit area and your self contained outdoor showers are welcome .
