    Falcon Ridge is our piece of rural paradise. The property slopes up from the road to a large ridgeline, on the right days, you will see Peregrine falcons or wedge-tailed eagles using the uplift to effortlessly soar over our property. We also have multiple echidnas that share our property, along with a family of shy wombats (that you might be lucky enough to see at dawn and dusk). There are sweeping views to the North and East. The campsite (which you will have all to yourself) has options for all vehicle types, although some minor levelling may be required in parts for vans/campers. You're welcome to bring your dog along too! We can only accept self-contained campers, so you'll need to have your own camp toilet. There is a dump point located in Sorell (15 mins away). A fire pit has been made for your use. There is an abundance of sticks on the ground for you to collect and burn (subject to fire restrictions), I have also created a small firewood store for your use on wet days for a small fee if required. Settle in, and experience the resident wildlife during the day or the stars at night.

When you book, you can be assured that the property is yours alone, making it a quiet and private experience. The unpowered site gives you the opportunity to enjoy the land. The powered site additionally gives you access to a bungalow which has a couch, TV, bed and dining table, as well as a very basic kitchenette with a toaster and kettle. There is also a power lead if you just want to run power to your own set-up. Campfires are a must - nothing better than watching the sun set around the campfire. This is a leave no trace property that suits campers who bring everything they need (including a camping toilet) and remove everything they bring. Good access for 2WD vehicles and caravans. Lots of opportunities to capture photos of sensational sunrises and sunsets. The property is 3km from Primrose Sands Beach (great for safe swimming). It is 4.5km from Carlton Beach (great for surfing), 37km from Port Arthur and 13km from Sorell. Hobart is 45km. We have goats on the property so pets will be considered on a case-by-case basis, please ask before booking with pets.

    Fickle Break Farm is a 28-acre coastal property on the doorstep of a world-class surf break, only 30 mins from Hobart. You can walk out the door with your surfboard, bike, or running shoes and jump in the ocean or onto several beautiful coastal walking and riding trails. We are 10 minutes away from Lauderdale shops and 10 mins to the best surf beaches in Hobart on the South Arm Peninsula. Pitch your tent or park your set up on our beautiful grassy hilltop campsite overlooking the South Arm Peninsula and Mt Wellington in the distance. You'll enjoy good access to Mays Point surf break and the Clarence Coastal Trail just a few mins away with walking tracks to Cremorne and Lauderdale along the coast. The camping area has a communal fire pit, access to fresh water and power in our large shed if needed, and a table tennis table. We are on tank water, so please be mindful of this. And please drive slowly and be mindful of treading lightly on the land. We also offer a 5m lotus belle stargazer tent, situated at the very top of the property, nestled amongst the native trees and with water views, it has a luxurious queen-sized bed with beautiful linens and is a short walk away from the walking tracks to the beach. All guests have access to our well-maintained composting toilet with water views and a beautiful hot outdoor shower that is open to the sky. Next door is a large sheep property, and on our land we have friendly chooks, peacocks, Guinea pigs, miniature goats, horses and a border collie. Guests and children are welcome to pat, feed and cuddle the chooks, Guinea pigs, horses and the miniature goats! Dogs are welcome as long as they are friendly with other dogs and people, and can be trusted not to escape to the next-door sheep property (beware as farmers can be ruthless with dogs!). They will need to be supervised and restrained (tied up or placed in our closed-in yard at night so they don’t disturb wallabies and other wildlife). We love meeting new people and are passionate about our beautiful property so we can’t wait to share it with you!

Semaphore Farm is a 400-acre property with convict history, bordering the Port Artur historic site. It is a private timber reserve and a working forest farm. We have a combination of native eucalypt forest and plantation, and we grow hay and our own beef. We have many walking and bike trails through 150 acres of forest and pasture accessible to campers. The campsite has spring water on tap, a hot shower, toilet, rustic camp kitchen, wood stove, gas BBQ, level sites, and a campfire when permitted. Tent sites are flexible so you can choose your own space within a 2-hectare area, while Level pad sites are limited. The Port Arthur Historic Site and a safe swimming beach are within walking distance and Safety Cove and Remarkable Cave are only a 5-minute drive away. Longer walks, including the Three Capes tracks, are easily accessible. Launch your boat nearby to access good fishing or fish for squid off the Port Arthur jetty. There is plenty of wildlife to see at night and birds during the day. You might even see our resident Wedgetail Eagle! Dog-friendly (must be under control/on a lead/contained).

    Farnese Olivo is a family hobby farm set on 5 acres overlooking the Coal River Valley in Acton Park, just 15 minutes from Hobart CBD. The Duck Hole is a historic farm dam offering a quiet rural experience. All campers have free access to: - potable drinking water - shower (open air, cold only) - outdoor basic cassette/camp toilet - rubbish bins - fire pit and firewood - cast iron bbq plate and skillets for cooking in the fire pit - picnic table and chairs overlooking the dam - dam side hammock The property was established in the early 1980s on the site of one of Hobarts oldest farms (the original house built in 1826 still stands as a beautiful family home 2 doors up on our street). We are home to three friendly hand reared sheep - Daisy, Frank and Bill who love pats and food. Muscovy and Indian Runner Ducks, Chickens and many native birds. Overlooking the historic dam there is a shared fire pit with firewood supplied. We can only accept self-contained campers. There is a dump point within 6km, located in Cambridge Park for those with their own toilet. Some minor leveling may be required. The sheep pen and duck hole sites are pretty much flat. As we have farm animals, you will get to hear our sheep and ducks enjoying their environment. However, it is very quiet of an evening/night. We love meeting new people and are passionate about our property we can’t wait to share it with you and your family! Check in MUST be between 12pm and 8pm (daylight hours) due to safety and our council permit. If you require check in after 8pm please contact us prior to booking to arrange.

    Deep Glen is a beautiful, quiet 5 acre property at Eaglehawk Neck, gateway to the stunning Tasman Peninsula. Hiking, surfing, fishing, swimming, diving are all at your doorstep, not to mention the famous Three Capes Track and the Port Arthur Historic site just a short drive away. If you want to see the coast shown in these photos, both the Tasman Island Cruise and Wild Ocean Tasmania offer excellent trips Bookings are for two adults; children under 16 are free. It may be possible for larger groups to occupy one site - please enquire before booking. As the site is teeming with wildlife including the barred bandicoot, we don't allow dogs. There are no facilities on the block apart from a long drop dunny (byo paper) and a small supply of non-potable water so you will need to be self-sufficient though there are good meals at the nearby Lufra Hotel and excellent coffee just up the road at the legendary Cubed Coffee van.     Situated on a small coastal farm on 8 acres above the cliffs of Adventure Bay, at the southern end of the neck beach, and in a central location for exploring Bruny Island. Camping area and the barn are in a gently sloping pasture paddock with flat areas for camping. Beautiful walks from the property, with just a five minute walk down to the spectacular sea cave, and a 10-15 minute walk through the light bush and along the picturesque cliff top coastline to the neck beach, where you can swim with the waves, fish off the rocks, or go for an endless walk along the beach. 5 minutes drive to adventure bay's beautiful beaches which are safe for swimming and dog friendly, as well as the grocery store, restaurant, bowls club (for Friday and Saturday night meals). If you love birds, there will be plenty of sounds to listen to from the trees. You might be lucky to see the wedge tail eagle hovering above. Resident banjo frogs live in the large pond in the corner of the paddock. The main house where we live part time is on the property, but you still have your own space and reasonable privacy. 2 options available: + Camp site for just one group at a time in a relatively flat area with lovely ocean views. + Or upgrade to an affordable lodging in a rustic but comfortable converted horse barn, double bed in the loft with clean linen provided, living and kitchen area. Magnificent ocean views from the lounge or when lying in bed next to the window upstairs. Portable camping toilet is in the outhouse. Dogs are subject to pre-approval, and must be kept under control if our horses or dogs are on the property. Horses are usually only here during the winter months. The property is fully fenced so there is plenty of space for your dog to run around and a large pond. And please don’t expect Airbnb standards if you chose to stay in the barn. Its is a fun affordable upgrade/escape from camping without the glamour and high fees of glamping.

We are located within walking distance to the beach (250m), and the wharf (500m, and a great spot for fishing), and a short drive to Southport Tavern with take away shop 1.3kms (great meals). There are also plenty of good bush walks in the area - Adamsons Falls, South Cape Track, Duckhole Lake and Hastings Caves. The thermal pools are also close by! Camping here is for self-contained campers only, for those that have their own toilet. All waste is to be taken when you leave. We offer five-level grass sites with easy access. Four have power and water hook-ups and one site with it close by. There is an enclosed campers kitchen, with hot water, gas BBQ, and a wood heater. The Craigbourne Dam is a all year round recreational fishing ground and stocks many species of fish i.e. Atlantic Salmon, Brown Trout and Rainbow Trout to name a few. Our property is a pet friendly park but we do ask all patrons to be considerate of the surrounding farmland and live stock . As we are a fully self contained campground we do not provide power, toilets or showers. You'll need to have your own amenities and discard of any rubbish . The property is Land for Wildlife listed with a natural eucalypt woodland providing birdwatching opportunities plus friendly wallabies, potoroos, quolls echidnas, and possums. With direct water access and the free use of our sit-on kayaks, you can explore the Apollo Bay and Snake Bay coastline. We are 15 minutes from the ferry and a gateway to both North and South Bruny attractions including, House of Whisky, Dennes Point, and Quarantine Station. Bruny Island Oysters, the Cheese / Beer Factory, Adventure Bay, and the South Bruny National Park. An idyllic natural base camp to just relax or explore Bruny Island. Some important points to note: • There is open water on the block and easy access to the cove so no toddlers please. • Toilet/disposal facilities are not provided so you will need to be self-contained. • While a fire pit is provided please bring your own wood (or we can provide some for $TBC per bag). The collection of fallen timber is not allowed. • Please do not feed food scraps to the local wildlife as this can seriously affect their health. Bags of wallaby/potoroo pellets are provided but no more than one bag per evening, please. • Drinking water is provided but comes from our house tank so please use it sparingly. • Our house overlooks the campsite but we are a quiet retired couple, who will respect your privacy, and won’t bother you unless you need help or advice. We ask that you respect our privacy in return.

    Finding us couldn't be easier , just turn right at the welcome to Franklin sign when driving from Huonville. Our gate has two big gum stumps as posts. Early arrival/ caravan drop off possible. please contact us to arrange With big views up the Huon Valley and over the river, this campsite will be sure to provide a great stay. The property is a 5 minute walk into the Historic town of Franklin, where there are are pubs and restaurants. We have 2 flat sites and 3 slight gradient sites, all are far apart. All sites accessible by 2wd depending on weather. There are no facilities, so the site is suitable for self contained campers only, There is dump for toilet water. The site also has drinking water water available free. Due to our children and our Alpaca on site pets must be kept on a leash. Visiting children are welcome to help our kids feed Alpaca, just ask. The property has an orchard of cherry plums, apples, pears, lemons and apricots. There are great walks and sites to see in the local area. It's possible to see Aurora from your campsite, but not guaranteed.
