2 nights at Quoll Hideaway - Bruny Island Bush & Beach camping

Quoll hideaway was fantastic. A highlight of our trip as the quolls came out to play! It was so great sitting and watching them. We were also visited by a potoroo, which was very cute. The camp kitchen works really well and provides a great spot to sit and wait for the animals to emerge. It was easy to find and close to the beach. We also had some fabulous oysters which we sat and enjoyed on the camp kitchen. Thanks so much Linda hopefully we will be back!

Beautiful location and abundant with wildlife. Linda’s comms we’re quick and super helpful! I set up a hammock and watched the wallabies bounce by. A little pottaroo joins us for a bit, bloody adorable! And then we saw some quolls. One main one having a little sticky at the camp. Amazing to see though very shy and skittish. So glad we got to see wild quolls. Also, the ocean/lake beach is super close and also incredibly stunning. Highly recommend!

The site was clean and tidy. Rob takes pride in it. Rob is very friendly, but don't get ideas about going native. Bring your toilet with you. Fail to do so and you'll be shown the gate.

Great spot, absolutely stunning! So much wildlife to watch. The main house is pretty close but the owners are really lovely and gave us the space, so it still felt quite private. Highly recommend.

We really loved that you have the Whole Place to yourselves as they only take 1 Booking at a Time. We recommended this spot to a few of our friends who are now planning to stay there too when they next visit Bruny Island. Including a couple of Taswiegens who didn't even know about this place. Bruny Island Bush Camp

This property features all the elements required for a camping adventure. Located on Bruny Island on an open paddock in a bush setting, you will have 60 acres to explore or relax in complete privacy. Arrive here using Sealink Bruny Island ferry. and take the Blinkbonny Rd Turn off traveling for approx 500m from the corner. The campsite is best suited to self-contained 4WD campers who must bring their own toilet/shower facilities, drinking water and supplies. Pets on leashes are welcome. Campfires are permitted in the dedicated firepit. Take a stroll down to the beach and have a swim in the turquoise coloured water at Little Taylor Bay, or explore the bush and look for spotted par-ado, swift parrot, sea and nesting pair of wedge tail eagles, hawks, plovers, honey eaters, wrens, herons, brone wing pigeons just to name some of the birds. We also have a few of the famous white kangaroos, plus lots of smaller wallabies. There are good trails for hikes and mountain biking at the Mount Midway Forest Reserve and Mount Bruny Forest Reserve. Don't miss out on the Cape Bruny Lighthouse Tour - built in 1836, it's the only heritage listed lighthouse open for tours. Please stay within the property boundaries as shown, there is no access to Daniels Bay.

Falcon Ridge

Falcon Ridge is our piece of rural paradise. The property slopes up from the road to a large ridgeline, on the right days, you will see Peregrine falcons or wedge-tailed eagles using the uplift to effortlessly soar over our property. We also have multiple echidnas that share our property, along with a family of shy wombats (that you might be lucky enough to see at dawn and dusk). There are sweeping views to the North and East. The campsite (which you will have all to yourself) has options for all vehicle types, although some minor levelling may be required in parts for vans/campers. You're welcome to bring your dog along too! We can only accept self-contained campers, so you'll need to have your own camp toilet. There is a dump point located in Sorell (15 mins away). A fire pit has been made for your use. There is an abundance of sticks on the ground for you to collect and burn (subject to fire restrictions), I have also created a small firewood store for your use on wet days for a small fee if required. Settle in, and experience the resident wildlife during the day or the stars at night.

We are located within walking distance to the beach (250m), and the wharf (500m, and a great spot for fishing), and a short drive to Southport Tavern with take away shop 1.3kms (great meals). There are also plenty of good bush walks in the area - Adamsons Falls, South Cape Track, Duckhole Lake and Hastings Caves. The thermal pools are also close by! Private campsites (approx 400m away from each other) all to yourselves within a short drive to many Bruny Island attractions. The Little Garden Farm is our new 100-acre forest and pasture farm that we will begin improving over the next 18 months. The property is located at the base of Bruny's Isthmus, enjoying cool sea breezes in summer and mild temperatures in winter. The Woodlander Campsite is set in our bottom forest paddock, next to a dam, with a seasonal winter creek. It is private and peaceful, with no other campers, houses, or nearby neighbours. We welcome travellers, with up to two vehicles, who are here to enjoy the peace and quiet (no parties please). The campsite has its own separate access, site toilet, solid picnic table and chairs, firepit and and is approximately 600 meters from where we live. Next to 70 acres of forest the location is great for birdlife, with many of Tassie's endemics around, and other wildlife abundant after dark. We are always happy to help with birding or wildlife tips! Based approx 5 minutes from Alonnah and 10 minutes from Adventure Bay, the "Woodlander" is central to so much of what Bruny Island has to offer.

The Duck Hole at Farnese Olivo

Farnese Olivo is a family hobby farm set on 5 acres overlooking the Coal River Valley in Acton Park, just 15 minutes from Hobart CBD. The Duck Hole is a historic farm dam offering a quiet rural experience. We highly recommend 4WD only between April and August due to large amounts of rain periodically. All campers have free access to: - potable drinking water - shower (open air, cold only) - outdoor basic cassette/camp toilet for tent bookings only, we ask if you are self contained to use your own facilities - rubbish bins - fire pit and firewood - cast iron bbq plate and skillets for cooking in the fire pit - picnic table and chairs overlooking the dam - dam side hammock The property was established in the early 1980s on the site of one of Hobarts oldest farms (the original house built in 1826 still stands as a beautiful family home 2 doors up on our street). We are home to three friendly hand reared sheep - Daisy, Frank and Bill who love pats and food. Muscovy and Indian Runner Ducks, Chickens and many native birds. Overlooking the historic dam there is a shared fire pit with firewood supplied. There is a dump point within 6km, located in Cambridge Park for those with their own toilet. Some minor leveling may be required. The sheep pen and duck hole sites are pretty much flat. As we have farm animals, you will get to hear our sheep and ducks enjoying their environment. However, it is very quiet of an evening/night. We love meeting new people and are passionate about our property we can’t wait to share it with you and your family! Deep Glen is a beautiful, quiet 5 acre property at Eaglehawk Neck, gateway to the stunning Tasman Peninsula. It may be possible for larger groups to occupy one site - please enquire before booking. As the site is teeming with wildlife including the barred bandicoot, we don't allow dogs. There are no facilities on the block apart from a long drop dunny (byo paper) and a small supply of non-potable water so you will need to be self-sufficient though there are good meals at the nearby Lufra Hotel and excellent coffee just up the road at the legendary Cubed Coffee van. The Neck

Immerse yourself in the heart of Bruny Island at this private slice of the iconic Neck. The Neck straddles the isthmus of land connecting north and south Bruny Island in southern Tasmania and offers stunning 360 degree views. Just 40 kilometres from Hobart, Bruny is Tasmania's fourth-largest island. Instant book, no minimum nights. Dogs welcome (but please keep them inside the property boundary at all times). Our private campground is surrounded by towering Blue Gums, with nine well separated tent/campervan/caravan sites spaced comfortably across 11 acres. Note there are no toilet facilities here - you will need to take everything you bring with you! Note there is a toilet dump point at Alonnah, a short drive south of The Neck. A short walk along a path through the trees will have you standing on the iconic Neck ocean beach. This 11.5 kilometres of pristine sand and ocean offers surfing, swimming and fishing. The beach is also home to the island's Fairy Penguins who return to their burrows in the sand dunes at dusk. The best viewing period is during the warmer months of September to February. Bruny Island Cheese, Get Shucked Oysters, Bruny Island Honey are a ten-minute drive north. Adventure Bay with its Bowls Club, General Store and Service Station and coffee shop are a 15-minute drive south. Penicott Wilderness Journeys and Fish Bruny Island private charters are also located at Adventure Bay. 15 minutes drive to the south west is Alonnah, where you'll find the brilliant Bruny Island Hotel - a pub with the best food, service and amazing sunset view over the Channel and Satellite Island. Alonnah is also home to the local Police Station, Pharmacy, Cricket Club, two great coffee shop options, and a skate bowl for the concrete shredders. NOTE: your GPS is likely to send you several hundred metres south of the actual property entrance. Look for the small red Australian flag on the side of the road, indicating the location of the entrance. If you arrive at an old weatherboard cottage - you are at the right property, but the incorrect entrance to the campground.

The Woodlander and Back Paddock Campsites are Private Campsites located @ thelittlegardenfarm. Private campsites (approx 400m away from each other) all to yourselves within a short drive to many Bruny Island attractions. The Little Garden Farm is our new 100-acre forest and pasture farm that we will begin improving over the next 18 months. The property is located at the base of Bruny's Isthmus, enjoying cool sea breezes in summer and mild temperatures in winter. The Woodlander Campsite is set in our bottom forest paddock, next to a dam, with a seasonal winter creek. It is private and peaceful, with no other campers, houses, or nearby neighbours. We welcome travellers, with up to two vehicles, who are here to enjoy the peace and quiet (no parties please). The campsite has its own separate access, site toilet, solid picnic table and chairs, firepit and and is approximately 600 meters from where we live. Next to 70 acres of forest the location is great for birdlife, with many of Tassie's endemics around, and other wildlife abundant after dark. We are always happy to help with birding or wildlife tips! Based approx 5 minutes from Alonnah and 10 minutes from Adventure Bay, the "Woodlander" is central to so much of what Bruny Island has to offer.
