The camping site is located in a beautiful location overlooking the lavender fields, in bloom december/january, with the ever-changing Mt Roland in the background. On days with cold southerly winds, alternative campingsites are available on the farm. Please contact us to find out. Includes use flushing toilet, hot shower and laundry (external access). Approx. 300m from the campsite. We are pet friendly. We've got room for up to 5 separate bookings. Due to shortage of personnel, we can no longer offer the farm tours. Rivers Edge is 24 acres of forest on the banks of the Leven River in Gunns Plains, Tasmania. We are in our own little valley surrounded by tall forests. Preston Creek flows all year through our property and meets the large Leven River where your campsite is situated. Perfect for trout fishing, platypus watching, bird watching or catching the sun setting through the trees on the river bend. There are even the endangered black fresh water crayfish. The site is large enough for up to 5-6 caravans for large bookings, and we only take one booking at a time, so its exclusively yours. We are only 20km to the nearest town, Ulverstone which as everything you need. The road is close by the campsite with easy access to find the property. No toilet facilities at the site. Sat TV is good and limited mobile reception. Telstra works best we've found. River access over a rocky, uneven embankment as it's a natural, untouched environment, just how we and the native animals like it. Campfires ONLY PERMITTED when fire restrictions aren't in place. You absolutely must make sure your campfire is fully extinguished before you leave. Please check "My Trips" (in your profile) for directions once confirmed. Look for the 'Rivers Edge' sign on the entrance gate, then you know youve got the right site and not the neigbours property (which is along side mine on the river) Well behaved dogs are welcome but must be kept with you at all times, no roaming dogs as the road is close by. We love the peace and serenity here so please no unruly behaviour or parties.

La Bena Tarkine Sanctuary

Our 34-acre property is nestled on the edge of the ancient Tarkine rainforest on the north west coast of Tasmania (approx 1 hour 15 min west of Devonport and the Spirit of Tasmania). At La Bena, you will find a relaxing and quiet place to park and camp, that will give you easy access to our wild surroundings. On the property, we have a short but enchanting bush walk to our local creek (great place for a picnic!) that will take you past some giant man ferns, myrtles, celery top pines, pepper berries, and an assortment of gums and native currents. From 4WD tracks to pristine beaches, we are within a 30-minute drive of a huge range of activities and adventures so numerous options for day trips on your doorstep. Famous Boat Harbour Beach is only a short 15-minute drive away and just beyond that is Sisters Beach which has some great coves and hikes (Anniversary Bay) into Rocky Cape National Park that will take you along the coast to further secluded beaches and some sacred Aboriginal sites. If you head inland from La Bena you will enter the Tarkine Rainforest and travel along some great 4WD tracks that will take you to the Dip River Forest Reserve which has the big tree and Dip Falls - you can then head to Stanley for a meal at Hursey's Seafood and then loop back around to camp (a great day out). The camping area caters to self-contained campers only, so please ensure you have a camp toilet with you, and can take all waste when you go. Please leave no trace.

Traill's Corner is a 6 acre property situated on the Mersey River. The camping area is a large open field with a short walk to the river access, and warm springs. It's great for swimming for small children to paddle in, deeper for swimming and kayaking. We are located 20 minutes from Deloraine and Latrobe and not even an hr away from Launceston. We are a great base to head off during the day and explore what is on offering our wonderful part of the world. rock climbing, hiking, mountain biking, fishing, there are lots of little towns around with gorgeous shops to visit, such as the Meander valley, Cradle Mountain, the Great Lakes and so, much more. The river has world renowned trout fishing. Beautiful wildlife around, close to the forest Our space is improving all the time as we tend te grounds & build on what's here, enjoy our gorgeous outdoor spa which is filled with the natural water from the warm springs up the road at the Kimberley warm springs that flows through the property,

Cradle Mountain Fishery and Camping

Camp and fish just a stonesthrow from one of Tasmania's most stunning natural landscapes, Cradle Mountain. Here you'll find nature at its best, just 10 minutes drive from the Cradle Mountain Visitors centre, the perfect base for discovering this magical area. Our campsites are on scenic, levelled areas overlooking the large dam and bushland, with grassed areas ideal for tents and camper-vans, and a portaloo a short walk away. The block is a natural timber and grassland block, with devils, quolls and wombats also residing here. We have one powered site available, and multiple unpowered sites. There is a lovely walking track around the dams periphery. Feed fish from the edge, spot platypus frolicking about, and keep your eye out for Peacocks wandering the property too. Whilst you are welcome to bring your dog with you, please ensure they don't harass the wildlife. A keen fisher fish in our dams for trophy size rainbow brown and brook trout catch and release fees and rules apply

The Wynyard Foreshore Market is also on the 1st and 3rd Sunday of each month along the East Wynyard Foreshore. It’s definitely worth a look 👀 Feeling adventurous and want to explore? The Stanley Nut is only a 40minute drive west where you can learn all about the history the town has on offer. You could also check out Dip falls, The Big Tree or The Trowutta Arch. Camping is in an idyllic location beside the Leven River, within a 100 acre natural forested property. The property fringes the Dial range nature recreation area and a nature conservation reserve. Camping is on river flats within a lush green ferny forested and sometimes misty valley, below Mt Duncan and Mt Lorymer. Very nearby there are popular hiking and mountain biking trails. Adjacent to the camping area the Leven River has some of the best trout fishing in North West Tasmania. There's places to kayak along with private river beaches to sit and relax, enjoy a paddle, swim or have a picnic. Camping is on river flats, tent's and campervans can settle into grassy clearings within the Wattle's. While larger vans can set up on a larger cleared grassy area. There plenty of open space to throw a frisbee or have a game of cricket. The property is accessed from a very scenic 4 km well maintained gravel road that winds downhill to the base of the the valley. ***Please note there are no facilities. Please bring a camping toilet (there's a dumping point in Knights Rd, West Ulverstone) and your own rubbish collection. Campfires are permitted when there are no local fire restrictions in place .

The camp grounds are located just 8 minutes from Latrobe and 15 minutes from Devonport.The camping area is located on the banks of the Mersey River where you can enjoy your favourite water activities or just relax by the water side and enjoy the sounds of nature.Campers must be self contained with their own camping toilet and must take all waste and rubbish with them on departure. Pets are welcome but please keep them under control. We have rain water available as well.We recommend a 4x4 vehicle when towing caravans as the driveway to the property is gravel and on a hill.This is a working farm so please have respect for the host property and livestock.$10 per person, per night.
