Although we didn't get to meet Steve, he has a lovely well kept property with lots of level places to pitch a tent or position your caravan. Really enjoyed our quiet and relaxed stay with everything you need all close by. There is power and water available at the shed, but it may be necessary to bring your own extension lead and hose with adapters.

Weekend Trip to Camping on Coppards

We loved our first tent camping experience with our 1 year old, the site was secure and enclosed which was great with a roaming baby and pets, water and power were available, if you need a shower youll need to bring your own powered one otherwise at East Beach Geelong the public showers are heated until 10am. Daisy was really nice and accomodating to any of our requests. We were able to have a fire pit using our own wood, and for 3 nights we only needed 8 logs. The pool wasnt accessible to swimming at this time of year as the weather didnt permit. The area was quiet, serene and other guests we met were really lovely. This spot is 25 minutes from Barwon heads and its beaches, which is one of our favourite areas and your not too far from shops and the esplanade if you feel like being social. We will be coming back again.

Great stay at Steve’s place. We were at the back of property and we had loads of space. Great and safe for the kids and we had Milo the dog to keep us company.

A great place to camp, plenty of firewood and was well kept. The kids loved exploring the pine forest.

Weekend Trip to Tea Tree Creek Bush Camp

Wonderful Campsite with a great atmosphere. Well protected from wind, flat camping area and close to town.

Me and my 10 year old son just had a 2 night stay at this site and we absolutely loved it! When everywhere else over Easter would have been packed in like sardines, we had our very own off-grid bush camp with no one at all in our site. It's quite dry at the moment but it didn't stop my son catching 2 big rainbow trouts in the dam, the owner wasn't lying when he told us there's big ones in there! Mark was so welcoming and basically allowed us to setup camp where ever we liked within the areas he showed us and also gave us a bunch of things to see around the local area. Thank you for allowing us to stay on your property Mark, we will be back, and I hope everyone else respects your land just as we did and leave it the same way or better than when you arrive.

This place is amazing, 90 acres hidden in Mt Martha. Last minute booking over the Easter weekend, Michelle was amazing opening up a site for us. When we arrived she was sooo welcoming and showed us our site. Then dropped us off some firewood. Would highly recommend to stay here and we will be back.

What a gem of a find. 90 acres of bushland on the peninsula which gave us the privacy we were after, as well as having toilets and being able to have a fire just made our Easter, and Michelle and the crew were so helpful in every request. We will definitely be back

Hugh's camp was perfect for us (2 adults 2 kids). Spacious site to camp on, flat ground, short grass. Close to ocean grove beaches and local restaurants/wineries. We'll be coming back!

Weekend Trip to Reedy Lakes Farm Stay

Our site was nicely positioned almost end of the camping site which gave us more privacy and could avoid strong sunlight during the day time. My son loved to climb up and hang on that tree which was one of fun activities for him. We had a chance to see some hawks flying over the field closely. Hugh is a sweet, gentle and thoughtful man who welcomed us and took us to the camping site from the gate and gave us a short information of facilities at his property. It was also perfect site for my dog to roam and run around. We’re planning to visit here very soon again! Thank you Hugh.

We had the whole camp to ourselves. Stayed one night, great to have a fire, relax and watch the stars. Wayne was accommodating and easy to communicate with. Friendly horses in the paddock next to the camp. Plenty of trees around. Easy to find :)

Green grassy campsites on an Old Victorian Dairy Country Farm House site. The property is located in the Otways, the rail trail is close by for bush walks, wildlife watching or mountain biking. Matthews Creek Farm

Matthew’s Creek Hipcamp is a 30 acre north-facing slope looking out from the Otway Ranges towards the volcanic Western Districts. Behind us lies the grand splendour of the Great Ocean Road with all it’s wonderful attractions. (www.visitgreatoceanroad.org.au) This camp offers a great place to park or pitch the tent and explore everything the region has on offer. We guarantee privacy, seclusion, security, peace, and tranquility. Although, there is Rocky, the Light Sussex rooster to add to the atmosphere! There is patchy mobile and internet at the sites. It is best to arrive in daylight, we are difficult to find in the dark. In the near vicinity we have the Pennyroyal Raspberry farm and Hero’s winery. For lunch or dinner there is The Store in Dean’s Marsh, the Pub and restaurant in Birregurra and the Forrest Brewing Company in Forrest, and Gentle Annie in Pennyroyal who provide grazing platters and picnics featuring many of the locally produced treats found on the Otway Harvest Trail (www.otwayharvesttrail.org.au). We have 3 camping sites, the Goat Paddock, which can accommodate larger vehicles and RVs (levelling ramps required), the Old Orchard, suited for trailer campers, small RVs and tents. The Creek Flat is 4WD access only. We only take one booking per site. Each site has a brick fire pit and wood bundles can be purchased. Campers are welcome to walk downhill to the creek, and along the creek line. Electric fencing may be on. Untreated rainwater is provided in plastic bottles. We have a fully functioning toilet, can run power to your camp (no shower facility). We have an inground trampoline, half court basketball/netball court. Our small inground pool, camp kitchen (with hotwater, kitchen sink, fridge, pool table, lounge and tv), BBQ, Fire pit are avaliable by agreement at extra costs. Our acerage can cater for small groups of up to 15 people, your van/tent/RV or ours. Pets allowed by agreement and must be on lead at all times. We have free range geese, chooks and a friendly staffy. There is no need for an alarm clock our Roosters have that covered.

Secluded Otways Forest Camp

Our property is surrounded by the Otways forest and native Australian bush. Under 2 hours from Melbourne, and only 10-15minutes drive from the Otway Harvest Trail. Find a spot to park your van, tent, camper trailer or caravan on our beautiful natural piece of secluded bush, and you won't see or hear another soul. You may spot lots of birds and wildlife, or enjoy the beautiful view from the road. Please note: this is a spot for people such as hikers who appreciate nature and understand the concept of ‘leave no trace’. It’s not for parties or big groups. There are limited facilities (there is a basic composting toilet to use on site, but it’s not suitable as a caravan dump point) so you need to be totally self-sufficient and take all your waste and rubbish with you. BYO water.We are happy to accommodate up to 8 ppl, but please take everything with you, and leave our beautiful wilderness spot exactly as you left it, don't destroy the native vegetation and don't feed the wildlife. Fires only in the fire-pit please and must be totally extinguished (with water, so bring extra) before you leave, and not on fire ban days. You must BYO firewood and take all your rubbish away with you. Extra charges will apply for any rubbish, food scraps etc left on site.Enjoy!
