Reserviour Creek runs just behind the camping area which runs from Spring until Autumn creating a peaceful place to relax and enjoy. The rustic toilet and shower block are the original workers' buildings but have been completely upgraded to immaculate modern, fully tiled facilities which boast large 1.2m showers and new well appointed toilets. These are a short 400m walk/ride from the campsites along a clearly marked track. Other things to note: *Due to being surrounded by the National Park, you may find that some mobile network coverage is a bit patchy but Telstra generally has good connectivity. Convenient to access, you are only 20 mins from bustling Ararat which is the largest town in the region and has an abundance of eateries and supermarkets. We are 40 mins from Halls Gap, the hub of the Grampians and 6 minutes to the Moyston General Store Cafe which has a reputation for exceptional coffee! You are just a phone call away from the owners for any help or advice. Enjoy our beautiful 160 acre estate. We ask only that you enjoy the tranquility and leave our land the way you found it.

Bona Vista

1 site · RV, Tent200 acres · Mirranatwa, VIC
Situated in a unique valley of Native flora and fauna with short hikes to 2 plateaus to take in breathtaking 360 degree views of the Grampians National Park (Gariwerd). This is a private oasis on re-vegetated land in secluded bushland. The property has been in existence since the 1870’s as a working farm producing some of the finest Merino wool in the world. Our wool is produced ethically and sustainably and is sourced by the Italian Woollen Mills to produce fine quality fashion. Our secret is the land and our nurturing of it and our sheep. We want to share our piece of paradise with campers who treat our land the way we do. Note: The creek and spring run in winter and spring—enjoy walking along the creek line under the Red Gums.

Gariwerd Farm Camp

1 site · RV, Tent125 acres · Moyston, VIC
$50/night for 2 people. Remote farm at the end of a road, no neighbours, and spectacular views of the Grampians (Gariwerd) that is most stunning in the morning as the sun hits Mt William. One camp site (one group only). The site accepts 8 people but if you are just two people you will have the place to yourselves except for the kangaroos, wallabies, emus, echidnas and birdlife. The campsite is situated next to our family's holiday farmhouse that we visit sometimes, but only when there are no guest campers. There is a fire pit with grill plates available to cook over the fire (note open fires cannot occur when fire restrictions are in place). Campers have access to the flush toilet, hot shower and kitchen in the house. The house is a work in progress. We are slowly renovating the house, so it is a bit rough but it is clean and functional and you will have the place to yourselves. Please respect the locked private areas of the house. Campers are expected to bring their own cooking pots, plates, cutlery, camp chairs, etc. Only 4 km from Moyston where you can get great coffee and visit the historic Mine Walk. Halls Gap is 35km away or head through the mountains over Redmans Road that takes you the scenic route to Halls Gap (2WD accessible in dry weather). Kalymna Falls and picnic ground is a beautiful 15 min bush drive from the farm. If you like homemade jams, chutneys, ice cream and fudge, drop in and see Anita and Andy at Five Ducks Farm near Pomonal (https://fiveducksfarm.com.au/)

Autarkia - Self Sufficiency

3 sites · Lodging, RVs, Tents80 acres · Mafeking, VIC
Book our Bell Tent on our wetlands or bring your own tent to camp in a wattle grove (located in our paddock on undulating grassed areas) choosing views of the Grampians or Langi Ghiran. We have 80 acres 77 of which are currently used by the local wildlife and three we are beginning to garden in between renovating. Although the views are spectacular it does get rather dry in late summer/autumn. Our property is situated close to the Grampians National Park and provides a peaceful and secluded base to explore this amazing part of Western Victoria. You will be provided with a small amount of fire wood for a small fire weather permitting. No amenities provided. Please be aware, it can get quite windy at our place from time to time! We are renovating an old farmhouse (please excuse the mess) and taking an abandoned crumbling ruin to a self-sufficient paradise. We would love to have you explore our place and share a story or two about the local area as well as give you tips on the best spots to explore in the Grampians.
