My daughter asked if she could take her friends camping for her 17th birthday… a ‘parenting win’ so I had to say yes! Luckily, I found Whispering Gums on here and immediately decided it was perfect. We weren’t disappointed in the slightest. A stunning spot, great setup, really friendly and generous hosts. We’ll be back, hopefully many times!

Absolutely had the best time - the farm is so beautiful with 3 very cute farm dogs in a beautiful part of the Bunyip state park ❤️ The hosts are very good at communicating and such a lovely family ❤️ our kids adored the animals and watching our for platypus which my husband saw❤️ highly recommend ❤️ psa no reception ( which was really refreshing) and don't go via camp road unless you have the right vehicle

As first time campers we couldn’t have chosen a nicer spot and host to begin our camping journey. The site we stayed at was quiet and tranquil. Our kids enjoyed running up and down the large hill and we were treated to two beautiful sunsets.
Our host Chris was very helpful, and was happy to provide answers to questions from us as first time campers! He helped provide directions and advice on places to visit and ensured we had all the we needed during our stay…. Including hot chocolates and coffee as we packed our car in rather heavy rain on the last day.
The only note I would add for future campers is that the trek from the car park to the sites is further than we anticipated. Chris was super helpful and transporting our gear, but when you discover your kids have left a toy, drink bottle etc in the car… the trip back and forth is not a quick one on foot! It is beautiful though.

We spent two peaceful nights at Chris' property in Mount Best. The property was lush and green and the campsites felt so private. This was our first ever family camping trip and Chris' property offered the best of both worlds - the feeling of being alone in nature but with the safety net of being on private property with a friendly and capable host on hand! The site was gorgeous, Chris was friendly and helpful and checked on us often and helped us with our gear and water. We had the best time and the kids are hooked! Thanks Chris for sharing your beautiful property with us. Thanks also for the help with the rainy pack up on Sunday haha. We couldn't have managed without you!

We had such a great time staying at Miller’s farm! The facilities were excellent - well decked out kitchen and super clean toilet. We loved the chickens and will be back to meet the rest of the animals too! 10/10 ☺️

Charlotte and Peter are really lovely hardworking people. Seeing how hard they work on the farm, you know it is a labour of love. So peaceful and relaxing with lovely views. We stayed at a water and power hook up. Make sure you have an extra long water hose so you can reach the water for the best spot. Our two mini schnauzers had a ball too. Definitely recommend.

Stunning property. We loved our stay here. The location was beautiful and we appreciated everything from the shade cloth for the campsite, the fire pit, the friendly cows, to the toilet with a view and the lovely walks right on the property itself. Highly recommend!

Fabulous, private campsite run by lovely hosts. We were a group of 6 with a small camper van and a camping trailer - enough flat space for both vehicles (required levelling). Lovely shady area amongst the gum trees, with the convenience of a very tidy camping hut which includes table and chairs. We will definitely be back.

Third time back to this spot as we absolutely love it. Always so peaceful, with the bush surroundings, green paddocks and lots of bird life and kangaroos to see. Would recommend this spot to anyone needing a quiet escape!!

Beautiful view by the dam. Very relaxing. Enjoyed camp-fires, a walk in Bunyip State Forest, Rokeby market and visits from Rob and his friendly dogs Max and Marley. Perfect for our first Hipcamp.

We had a fantastic time at Miller’s Farm. It was very easy to get to from the city and host’s Kate & Darren made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The site was spacious and peaceful, perfect for our young boy who explored every opportunity he got.
We were given a great tour of the farm and our little boy got feed and pet many of the animals while Kate told us of all their different personalities. Couldn’t recommend this more to families of young children who want and easy place to go with some extra entertainment for the little ones.

We had a great time camping at Millers farm! We were very impressed with the facilities available to us and the peaceful open space. Our toddler adored the animals and loved being able to visit with them and help with feeding. We will definitely be back again!

This is a great spot to go camping whether experienced or not. Chris is a fantastic host who has put a lot of effort into making this camping site nice and it shows, all of the camping sites are separate enough to feel private with some shade and fire pits as well as excellent views. The toilet is also very clean and functional which is a huge bonus. The viewing point was also amazing and definitely worth booking one night to watch the sunset. Chris went above and beyond with his accomodation and happily spent time helping us with anything we needed and it made the camping experience really great, along with giving us really good recommendations for what to do in the area. This property is a must for anyone who loves camping and I can’t recommend it enough! Thankyou Chris!

We had an incredible two-night stay at Chris' place! Our campsite was surrounded by trees on three sides and we felt completely immersed in nature. There was a shade cloth at the site which was very appreciated on a hot afternoon and the toilet had a great view! Note that your camping gear needs to be transported to the site due to the narrow, hilly track so I'd suggest packing lightly. I'd also recomend bringing a big water container (20L) as the water is located at the top of the hill. Some highlights were sunset on the hill and the wombat who passed right by us at dusk munching it's way through the grass. Also just ambling around the property through the tree ferns and giant eucalypts was magical. Chris was available throughout the stay to help us. We will be back!
