Weekend Trip to Clancy Springs, South Gippsland

Thank you Adrian for our lovely weekend stay. Kangaroo Rise camping was a beautiful property where we enjoyed a peaceful relaxing time away. The property was well equipped with everything we needed and had new and clean toilet and shower facilities. It was also nice we were able to bring our dog along for this trip! Virginia and Rick's place was absolutely AMAZING... so peaceful with incredible surroundings, private, spacious, easy to find and beautiful land to explore. Definitely did not disappoint. We stayed 3 nights at site 1 and it was the perfect city getaway... Rick, V and their family were so lovely, friendly and helpful.. the perfect hosts. The compost toilet was such a brilliant set up, probably the nicest camp toilets I've experienced. Highly recommend this place to anyone, we will be back again!!

Great place to camp at. Nice views. Bit of a slope on some parts. A couple of rope swings for the kids to play on. Not too far from Melbourne. Went to the Tarra-Bulga national park which is beautiful and not too far away for a short hike.

3 nights at Whispering Gums

Perfect, tranquil, picturesque spot to relax and unwind. All the facilities you need, great for dogs, an easy drive from Melbourne, a few minutes from the town of Neerim South and 20 minutes from the amazing Noojee Pub. Heaps of great bush walks nearby too. Hosts Sue, Chris and Banjo (their dog) made us feel very welcome and were super helpful with recommendations. Can’t wait to go back one day!

We stayed between Easter and Anzac Day with our two kids and loved Christine’s property. The water especially was our favourite part. We loved listening to the sound of water flowing, singing birds and playing with the purplish array of rocks we don’t see where we come from. Christine was welcoming and was kind enough to provide our firewood for our stay (thanks Tom for dropping off) we also managed to catch a yabbie in the dam. The kids also loved your dogs Buddy & Mate. How amazing you call this place your home. Thanks again for sharing it with us.

Virginia's and Ric's property is perfect, only 5 sites spread generously across a large area ensure each camper can enjoy this majestic environment. Some great ingenuity with their composting toilet, plenty of space site and amazing views. Not much more to add to the exisiting positive reviews.

Weekend Trip to Kookaburra Ridge Farm Camp

We had a family of 12 people and 3 dogs go and stay 3 nights and we had just the best time over Easter! We woke up with gorgeous views of the sunrise and lovely bird songs, we had wonderful weather and while all 5 campsites were booked and busy, it wasn’t noisy. We had plenty of privacy and we loved the little picnic table that was on our site. The toilets were clean and clear instructions are everywhere on how to keep them fresh for everyone. We enjoyed exploring the land and while we didn’t see any animals, it was lovely to see some mushrooms. Plenty of firewood to collect and the $20 of firewood that we purchased was a huge amount and definitely worth the money! Whilst we were on a hill and fell off our chairs a few times, a great flat spot was available for the caravan. We cannot thank Daniel enough for letting us enjoy his land and we highly recommend staying here!

This is our third stay and this time we took the whole extended family for Easter. Beautiful setting, caring hosts and high quality amenities. Suited our group with the option of staying in the flat for the non campers in the family. Starlit nights around the campfire and being able to have our dogs close by, safe to run around made it memorable. Highly recommend.

Myself, my partner and our two friends stayed at Dan and Rina’s Kookaburra Ridge Farm over the Easter weekend and had an amazing time! The campsites are extremely spacious and included a fire pit, which we spent a lot of time around. Campsites and toilets were very clean. Dan was very approachable and friendly and recommended us to some great fishing and hiking spots that weren’t too far from camp! Very peaceful and relaxing weekend 😊😊 Thanks again! We have already recommended Kookaburra Ridge Farm to many people!

Decent sized space, plenty of green grass. Access to toilets was great. On a little bit of a hill but we managed fine with 5 tents and a gazebo. Daniel was responsive and came to see how we were all travelling!! Would definitely recommend for small or big groups.

This is our new favorite campsite. Site one is a dream! Absolutely beautiful and secluded spot, felt so private. Aside from the driveway in it's fully fenced, so our dogs were able to roam most of the time!

Lovely campsite and Kate and fam are great hosts. Super close to great walks and of course the Noojee Hotel. One for the animal lovers and very clean facilities.

Great stay with two young kids. Kate and Darren are super generous with their time and property - taking the time to show us and the kids all the animals. Kids loved feeding the alpacas, goat and horses. Meanwhile we got to camp right next to sheep, chickens and ducks. Toilet was super clean and owners had fire wood for purchase (super useful when you run out!). Highly recommend this spot for any type of camper but particularly for those seeker a quieter option. Toilet was super clean and while we didn’t need the camp kitchen it’s absolutely an amazing addition for those without caravans (fridge, toaster, kettle, tea, coffee and a fridge!).

We absolutely loved camping in our swag on Site 4. The view was breathtaking, and the facilities were clean and well-maintained. Clear directions and excellent signage made everything super easy to find. Even with other campers nearby, the site felt private and peaceful. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a scenic and relaxing getaway.

The site was really nice, with open views and flat ground - the land was perfect for us tent campers (group of 8). The picnic table was very convenient, and Christine was very responsive and helpful. We had a lovely stay, and would recommend. Note the site is relatively close to a main road, and there is some minor road noise, but nothing too bad.

3 nights at Clancy Springs, South Gippsland

We absolutely loved our stay at Kangaroo Rise! The hosts Adrian and Sandy were wonderful and welcoming and very knowledgable about the area. Their property is beautifully presented and they work very hard to make sure everyone can enjoy their experience. The camp kitchen is impressive with a toilet and shower at back and both are spacious and thoughtfully appointed. The camping area has a great sense of space, we didnt feel too close to anyone, we could enjoy the views around us, and those views are spectacular! It was great to see the wildlife around the property too. If you have children, they will love looking for koalas, seeing kangaroos, a variety of native birds and the wedge tailed eagles are so majestic. The property is away from the road, and provides a peaceful, tranquil escape. It is also in close proximity of Leongatha and Inverloch for day trips out or supply runs. I cannot fault the property and we truly loved our time there. Our doggo was able to relax in the fully fenced camping area and enjoy the space and the smells. Pepper loved her stay! We look forward to another visit soon and will recommend this destination to everyone. Theres is also a two bedroom, beautiful, sparkling clean and modern unit to stay in as an option. Its truly such a magnificent property to enjoy. Thank you both Adrian and Sandy for a wonderful time at Kangaroo Rise!!

We had such an amazing stay at Serenity Hill Camp! Rick and Virginia are amazing hosts super friendly and helpful, and they really make you feel at home. The camp is peaceful and surrounded by nature. We loved seeing wombats, birds, and even a few wallabies right near our site. There are some beautiful walking tracks around the property with blackberries surrounding. The local shops (town) and beaches are just a short drive away perfect for a swim or relaxing by the water. Everything was clean and well looked after, and you can tell Rick and Virginia really care about the place. Site 1 views were beautiful and spacious even with other sites nearby all sites have their own privacy. The directions are very easy and clear. If you're looking for a quiet, nature-filled getaway with lovely hosts, this is the spot. We’ll definitely be back! Thank you for the jump start lol and most importantly making our stay warm and welcoming

Hedley Gardens and Bush Camp is my oasis situated on four acres just minutes from the beach and the bush, and an easy 20min drive to either Foster or Yarram. Food-producing landscaped gardens with four separate self-contained living areas. Guests are welcome to pick their own salad and herbs and picnic in the gardens! Only seven minutes drive to a quiet beach, boating, fishing and the long jetty. The property is conveniently located within close proximity to Welshpool, Agnes falls, National parks, numerous rivers and a State forest. The assorted accommodation available includes a two bedroom cottage with kids room and cot set up, one King size bedroom with open fire place and two extra single beds with attached camp kitchen, and another King size bedroom with a kitchenette a king single and a trundle bed. Situated in West Gippsland, Casa Cucina is a feast for the senses from the alpine majesty of the Baw Baw Plateau, the Bunyip State Forest, the lush green valleys, to the rivers and streams… there is always something to do in West Gippsland for the curious. Further exploration in the area may include Gumbuya World, Nangara Reserve, Noojee and Neerim South. The Tarago River backs onto our small yet spacious, open yet shaded space we would welcome you to. The river is ‘swimmable’ (at your own risk), a lovely spot to cool off on our warm summer days, or a mesmerising place to sit, watch, read, contemplate, draw or write. It awakens the creative juices to be in such beauty in nature. Some large old Mountain Ash remain along the river bank, with lots of new plantings. It is not uncommon to see an echidna, a variety of stunning birdlife, and on dusk, maybe a wombat family. As we only take one booking at a time you will enjoy exclusive use of this peaceful space. A maximum of 4 vans on River block and 2 on adjoining paddock, in one group. Our river block can hold up to 4 caravans (under 10 metres) and a couple of tents in one group (one booking). In addition, the upper adjoining block can accommodate 2 caravans. This is a single group occupancy site so you can enjoy the privacy of your group. If you wish to hook into our powered site, please add $10 per night, per van. All campers will also have access to our Casa Cucina gorgeous eclectic, quirky community space to sit in out of the weather. Please note: This is not an accommodation space. Our empty and unused dairy has space available out the front for up to 3, fully self contained vans (no tents) Located on the edge of the picturesque town of Buln Buln postcode 3821 (not Moe) take in views of rolling green hills and heritage listed oak trees while the gentle cattle and sheep graze nearby paddocks. We have access to power and river water on all three sites (not suitable for drinking) but no toilet so your vehicle must be fully self contained. One site is a drive through concrete slab, the other two are grassed sites. The grassed sites are next to each other and the slab site is on the opposite site of the driveway. There is a free public dump point available at Neerim South (a 10 minute drive north) 10 minutes drive to the larger township of Warragul. Firewood and eggs from our happy free range hens can be provided for an additional fee. Please only use the provided fire pits and no fires are allowed on total fire ban days. There is no access to the main house or paddocks unless accompanied by the property host. There is some traffic noise during the day but the nights are peaceful. Dogs are welcome but please ensure that they remain on leads at all times. Each site is limited to one vehicle and van or single campervan. Inlet view Inlet view has 3 sites available suits bigger larger tv/ caravans or large groups of tent campers. Plenty of shade and beautiful views. RULES Campfires are welcome but only in the fire pits provided. (Pending Fire Resrictions) Pets are allowed off leash but if they chase livestock please have them on leash. No rubbish is to be left behind.

Our property is 5 acres comprising of a farmhouse, shed and gardens. Our campsites are grassy green flat paddocks with separate access, great views across open green pastures of grazing cattle and sheep with views of the majestic hills of Dumbalk South. There's plenty to see and do in the area from the amazing Wilson's Prom Nat. Park (40 mins), to country town shopping (2 mins), waterfalls and more. We are only a 10min walk or 3min bike ride from the Great Southern Rail Trail which is a multi-use, gentle trail suitable for all abilities and fitness levels, covering 14 towns and 130klm it runs from Nyora to Yarrum with panoramic views of lush farmland, rainforest and pristine seascapes. The Great Southern Rail Trail links several unique towns. Just across the road you'll find Stony Creek Go Karts which is at 800 metres long, the longest Hire Kart track in Victoria and one of the few tracks that have racing karts and hire out karts as well as provide facilities to bring your own. (Book if poss). They also have other games facilities and an on-site café with great coffee and pizzas! Ten minutes drive towards Dumbalk South takes you to Blue Tree Honey Farm, a great little tourist attraction where you can taste and buy honey from local areas, sample a beautiful cream tea/coffee, have lunch in the cafe or sit outside and admire the scenic countryside. Just down the road towards Foster on your right you will find a fabulous panoramic lookout platform with views of Wilson's Promontory National Park (40 min) comprised of 125,000 acres of rainforests, extremely beautiful beaches, rugged granite mountains and abundant wildlife. Trails from the Tidal River settlement lead to Squeaky Beach, with its white quartz squeaky sand. Nearby, Mt. Oberon offers views of Bass Strait and offshore islands and Wilsons Promontory Light station, built in 1859, is on the southern coast. Nearby towns for shopping are Meeniyan, Leongatha and Foster. Leongatha has an indoor pool and Foster has a surprisingly good museum which as you walk through there are outbuildings like a jail and a schoolhouse, complete with school children! It awakens the creative juices to be in such beauty in nature. Some large old Mountain Ash remain along the river bank, with lots of new plantings. It is not uncommon to see an echidna, a variety of stunning birdlife, and on dusk, maybe a wombat family. As we only take one booking at a time you will enjoy exclusive use of this peaceful space. A maximum of 4 vans on River block and 2 on adjoining paddock, in one group. Our river block can hold up to 4 caravans (under 10 metres) and a couple of tents in one group (one booking). In addition, the upper adjoining block can accommodate 2 caravans. This is a single group occupancy site so you can enjoy the privacy of your group. If you wish to hook into our powered site, please add $10 per night, per van. All campers will also have access to our Casa Cucina gorgeous eclectic, quirky community space to sit in out of the weather. Please note: This is not an accommodation space.
