Great for family friendly and first timers camping! We were even greeted by the friendly cows nearby which was a lovely experience for my nephew. Fishing was also bonus activity which helped make time go by faster for the kids.

It was great to be able to set up my tent on the broad pebbled area on river's edge (a small area of the total site). A lovely private space with both sun and shade. Refreshing swims, campfires, kooka chorus dawn and dusk. A short walk to a shower(hot) and toilet, which were basically clean. Jeremy led me to my site on his tractor. Daemo popped by later with his selection of salami, sausages etc for sale. Both were friendly and very helpful. One of the best camp-sites I've stayed at. Highly recommend.

1 night at Riverside King Valley

Beautiful property. We got to camp right next to the river and have a swim which was amazing. Toilets and hot showers is a bonus. Definitely one of our favourite hipcamps. We will be visiting again when we are back in Victoria.

The camp site was ideal (although not very flat). Lots of birds which added to the relaxing mood of my trip. Generous site spacing and well maintained toilet were wonderful features of the site. I hope to go back soon and enjoy a relaxing weekend of chilling out and enjoying nature. Plenty of firewood around which made the nightly fires easy to organise. Wonderful friendly hosts (Stewart / Gayle) - very welcoming!

I had a lovely time at Riverside King Valley. The scenery and atmosphere was so peaceful and the add on options were great (eg. the portable toilet). Being by the river was great as my dog loved jumping in all weekend. The water was very clean and clear. I would definitely recommend to anyone and have already recommended it for our next family getaway!

Really well maintained and beautiful pet-friendly camping spot. The facilities were great! Mel and team are really awesome, and were incredibly kind, helpful and understanding. Our stay got cut short due to a personal emergency, but we are so looking forward to returning! Thank you for your hospitality.

Daemon and Jeremy have an amazing place! Beautiful creekside camping, My son and my little Husky absolutely loved the shallow river. Great spots to put the camp chair in the water and enjoy the views and the sound of the river. If you have an off leash obedient dog, this place is perfect 👌 Highly Highly recommend 👌

Beautiful spot! Site 1 river bush camp is huge! Big enough to kick a footy - Which was great for our group. Great hosts too - really helpful. There are some old cars at the back of the site, which take away some of the romance of the place, but the river and surrounds are beautiful.

Riverside King Valley is set on a 25 acres on the banks of the King river featuring 10 spacious campsite spread along the property. Just a half an hour drive from Wangaratta, 45 minutes from Benalla and an hour from Mansfield. Each site offers something a little different whether it is a spacious site for a large group or party or a smaller site for a family weekend away. Our site is accessible for all vehicle types and is dog-friendly as long as pets are well-controlled. Campfires are allowed when restrictions aren’t in place, and firewood and kindling is available for purchase (see Extras). Please keep in mind that the property is a working farm and there will be cars and machinery onsite nearby to some of the sites. Each powered site has only 1 power supply. Thornbridge near Wineries, Lakes

Only 3 large campsites! Great for family groups and friends, lots of room. Kids under 5 stay free, pet friendly. North East Vic is a tourist mecca, with food and wine, lakes and rivers, cycling and markets, mountains and waterfalls. - We are only 2 and half hours from Melbourne and 20 mins off Hume Fwy, via Wangaratta. Please read the whole listing, lots to tell you about us. Campsites 1 is large and can accommodate two vans and 2 - 3 tents (or 14 -16 people). Campsites 2 and 3 are smaller and more suited to one van with 1 - 2 tents (or 4 - 6 people). Ample car parking. Campsites are 110m apart with a light screen of trees in between, no crowds here. Accessed via 3.5km of rough dirt track - not recommended for low vehicles or low towing vans. The track is rough BUT easily driven by all vehicles - just drive slowly. Dogs welcome, firewood is easily gathered by you, and often in piles by your campsite. Campsites are NOT near water. They are near a dry gully, with an **** unfenced dam.**** We have a beautiful swimming hole at the property entrance, in Boggy Creek. Guests are welcome to enjoy the shaded lawn area, BBQ and pot belly fire. The creek is 3kms from the campsites. Near The Hut is the gate to take a walk up to Sugar Loaf (500m return), where you can see amazing grass trees and place a rock on the cairn. Look for the wallabies that live up there. Stay with us to get away from crowded campsites, to enjoy a quieter holiday, while being close to a great tourist district. The King Valley showcases wineries, gourmet food, eateries, restaurants, pubs, brewery, even a gin distillery. We are surrounded by creeks, rivers and lakes, with many fishing, swimming and kayaking options - all within a 30 minute drive! Take a walk to the top of Sugar Loaf, and see unique grass trees on this rocky hill, while catching sight of Mount Buffalo. 8kms to Moyhu which has a pub, coffee shop, general store - all with great food options. You can get petrol, take away, gas etc.

Set on 20 acres this elevated setting features 280 degree outstanding views of the Ovens and King valleys with the alps on the not so distant horizon. Uninterrupted views to the sky also offer amazing stargazing. A great base to explore the Murray to Mountains Rail Trail only 1.7 Klms to Everton Station junction where you can choose your destination for the day. Pioneer Bridges is a great local swimming spot for a refreshing dip in the warmer months, located 1.5 kilometres from the Everton township. It’s also dog friendly. A plumbed toilet, sink - cold water only, also cold shower and power are available in the nearby shed (50- 70 meters) depending on where you set up. A leave no trace request also applies. In the warmer months a gazebo for additional shade is a good idea. An all weather road will accommodate most setups for access thru 12 feet roadside gate.

Hunters Spread Farmstay

Hunters Spread is located in the Victorian High Country nestled in between Yackandandah and Myrtleford. A great place to bring your horse to explore Hunters Spread bushland, Mt Big Ben, Mt Jack and Mt Buffalo national park. Whilst our horse yards are being built, we can offer a safe and secure laneway for your horses to be kept for $10 per horse per night. Waivers are in place and will need to be signed prior to any riding on the property. The farm offers a campsite with brand new accessible amenities including hot shower (limited). Firepits are permitted and wood will be provided (depending on fire restrictions in place at the time of booking). We welcome pets on leashes, but they must be under control at all times by owners and cleaned up after. We ask that you organise and confirm any animals coming to the farm prior to booking by message. The camp site can cater up to 50 people. $35.00 per person per night (except children under 10 years old). All persons under 18 years of age are to be supervised whilst on the farm. Alternatively, for people not wanting to camp out or those with caravans or RV’S we have a site in close proximity to a 20 x 9 mtr shed, powered with concrete slab. The shed site is $45.00 per person per night. Hunters Spread is approximately 3.5 hours from Melbourne. The farm is approximately 30 minutes drive to Beechworth, Bright and Lake Buffalo and about 50kms to Albury Wodonga. Please note that our summers are hot, and our winters are cold - so please pack accordingly.
