Really enjoyed our long weekend at Riverside Was a first outing with our pop up camper and it was perfect, flat site, pretty view of river and surrounds, nice walks and open exploring space for our dog. Greg was a wonderful host, ensuring we had dry wood for the fire after a first night of rain. Hope to return and enjoy some more!

3 nights at Private Alpine Forest Paradise

This was a perfect getaway for a bunch of friends to go out and disconnect. We experienced a storm and mist which it was all part of the camping experience in a serene, quiet spot in the forest. Ken supplied us with firewood for the weekend and sent great instructions to get there. We still had internet which helped when friends arrived at different times. Was a great first Hipcamp camp, thanks again!

1 night at Yarra Valley Vineyard Views

We loved our stay! Highly recommend this Hipcamp. We booked for one night initially and stayed for two after a day of exploring the area - Rob and Suzie were so lovely and welcoming with an abundance of knowledge on all things cars/camping/4WD. The undercover area was perfect for our needs and very cosy, equip with a gas bbq, induction cooking, plenty of seating and lighting. We loved waking up to the picturesque view of the vineyard and saying hello to their two very cute pet cows. We were lucky enough to pretty much have the place to ourselves which was perfect for the dogs.

6 nights at Yarra Valley Vineyard Views

Amongst the vines with wonderful hosts Rob and Suzie. Dog friendly and very accommodating. Sun setting over the vines while drinking a bottle of the Yarra’s finest an experience not to be missed. 11/10 will be back.

3 nights at Strath Creek Station

Thanks Kim and Glen for a great first Hipcamp experience. Loved our site next to the creek, toilet facilities were fab and Kim’s sourdough was delicious. The first day we were there the wasps were an issue but Kim sorted us out with a wasp trap, which was much appreciated - thanks Kim. Doggos loved the secure off leash area!

Weekend Trip to Wildcroft an Escape to the Country

Stayed during the Easter long weekend. I loved the place n the host Grace was friendly n helpful. Learned quite a lot about horses 🐎 at her ranch. Clean toilets n shower giving you the comforts you need. There were about 14 campers in the campsite, but you had the privacy given that camping area is huge n had quite a distance from each other. Attended the Easter bf as well. Yea is only 15 km drive, n drove down to Broadford motor cycle track, to watch a track day.

4 nights at Wildcroft an Escape to the Country

We loved camping at Grace's place. She is a lovely host, checking on us everyday, we went during Easter and we had some activities such as deer walk and breakfast. And in the end, she organized a trip to the top of the mountains in her property and the view was amazing. There is bathroom and hot showers. The campsite was great to see wildlife such as kangaroos, birds, deers and a part of the horses and livestock she raises. Only recommendation: bring your own potable water

Grace’s Land was the perfect spot for our Easter weekend camp trip to the High Country. We had the best time relaxing, switching off and soaking up serene countryside views by day and spectacular starry skies by night. Grace is a warm, welcoming and friendly host who goes above and beyond to make sure her guests have an amazing camping experience while staying in her land. Highly recommend!

This was our first camping weekend away with our puppy and we couldn't have asked for a better place for it. Grace and her family have created such a wonderful space, perfect for relaxing, having fun and enjoying the countryside either alone or with the other guests if you fancy it. We took a walk up the hill to sit and take in the beautiful views while writing our vows, which is a memory we will never forget. The showers and toilets were great and the communal BBQ came in handy too. I would highly recommend Grace’s land to anyone, especially to those looking to take time away from their devices and truly appreciate the beauty around them. Thank you so much Grace, you'll be seeing us again!

We are 10 minutes from Yarra Glen which has all your basic needs and we are surrounded by a number of award winning wineries with excellent food and wine options and beautiful gardens to explore. We are close to the Toolangi State Forest which is a beautiful natural area with plenty of different walking tracks and waterfall viewing options. There are also some popular 4WD tracks in the area too or you might like to take a drive up the Black Spur and enjoy the winding roads and lovely scenery. We're located only a few short km's from Wilhelmina Falls and Murundindi Scenic Reserve, you get the best part of the river, without the crowds. We are a short drive from Melbourne, and easy access to the townships of Yea and Yarra Glen for supplies if you need them. Amazing, abundant and rare bird life to enjoy and photograph. Seven Hills Tallarook

Our property, "Seven Hills Tallarook", sits high above Tallarook with deep valleys and high peaks, just over one hour North of Melbourne's CBD. The property is 600 acres of thick Victorian bush and farmed paddocks. We have a wide range of hobby farm animals - pigs, sheep, alpacas, chickens, ponies, a donkey, along with commercial heard of South African Boer Goats. As night falls, the wildlife come out to play - kangaroos, rabbits, deer and wallabies. Internally, we have in excess of 10 kilometers of roads within the property, the majority being 2WD accessible (weather conditions apply). There are parts of the property which are only 4WD accessible. Our campsites are placed to allow you to be as isolated as possible - away from other campers (you may see others as you drive past, or they drive past you). At some of our bush sites, you will be able to see other campers, but they are not close by. Additionally, we have now entered our Fire Danger Period for the 2024/2025 Summer Season. We have not toggled the Fire Ban on as we do still allow campfires, however campers MUST adhere to CFA guidelines at all times. On days of Total Fire Ban (TFB), no fires, including gas stoves can be lit outdoors. Furthermore, we reserve the right to ask you not to light a fire regardless of TFB status if we feel weather conditions are unsafe, especially the wind element. We cannot plan the weather and the request to not light your campfires will most likely on the day and we will advise as such. We have a wide range of hobby farm animals - pigs, sheep, alpacas, chickens, ponies, a donkey, along with commercial heard of South African Boer Goats. As night falls, the wildlife come out to play - kangaroos, rabbits, deer and wallabies. Internally, we have in excess of 10 kilometers of roads within the property, the majority being 2WD accessible (weather conditions apply). There are parts of the property which are only 4WD accessible. Our campsites are placed to allow you to be as isolated as possible - away from other campers (you may see others as you drive past, or they drive past you). At some of our bush sites, you will be able to see other campers, but they are not close by. Additionally, we have now entered our Fire Danger Period for the 2024/2025 Summer Season. We have not toggled the Fire Ban on as we do still allow campfires, however campers MUST adhere to CFA guidelines at all times. On days of Total Fire Ban (TFB), no fires, including gas stoves can be lit outdoors. Furthermore, we reserve the right to ask you not to light a fire regardless of TFB status if we feel weather conditions are unsafe, especially the wind element. We cannot plan the weather and the request to not light your campfires will most likely on the day and we will advise as such. We are travelers ourselves and often find it difficult to find peaceful yet secure spots that allow us to explore capital cities and the lovely areas around them. Most cities tend to have caravan parks in the outer suburbs and these can often resemble concrete jungles and be very busy leaving you feel like you have to pay a top premium to be cramped into a space. But what options do you have if you want to explore a vibrant city like Melbourne. See a show, do some shopping, eat out at some of the World's greatest restaurants. Yes, we all should splurge every now and then even when on the road. Our property lies at the very start of the Yarra Valley. It is surrounded on three sides by the magnificent Helens Hill vineyard. In the Summer months you can watch the fruit come onto the vines and in the Winter the views open up to see the kangaroos bouncing though the rows and often silhouetted against the skyline sunsets. We are less than 5 minutes to Lilydale town center. Supermarkets, restaurants, service centers, parts stores, hardware are all on the doorstep, yet looking out over the vines you wouldn't know. Lilydale is 38 kms from Melbourne CBD and there is a train station with ample day parking making it super easy to explore the heart of Melbourne and return 'home' to your country retreat for the night. Myki cards available on site FOC. There is a dump point only 3kms away at a local caravan park for those that need it and at our property water can be available to fill your tanks if needed for a small donation. There is no water or power connection on the sites but you can release your grey water to nourish the grass. Lilydale has a large laundromat available to you. We have a beautiful covered eating area with BBQ available so if the weather turns inclement you can still eat out yet under cover. All campers must be 100% self contained. These are remote sites with no connections and there are no toilet facilities available. We have restricted our area to a maximum of 6 sites to ensure that everyone has their space. Sites are not marked and locations will be on a first booked basis. Owners will direct you to your areas. The area is beautifully flat and does absorb water well but care must be taken to not tear it up after heavy rains. Please seek assistance from owners rather than tearing up the grass as a tractor is available. We can cater for large sized vans and even large motorhomes. Tents are welcome. The property is pet friendly but not fully fenced so your furry friends would need to be on lead. We have our own dogs on the property. Hipcamp being USA based describes the sites and vehicles in USA terms and lengths. There is no way to alter this but please be aware. We cater for Aussie sized caravans and 4wd vehicles. 14 or 15m long all up, no problem. Just in a 4x4 with roof top tent and awning, we have you covered. Cruising the country in a Commodore with a pop top, all good here. Please be aware that we do share a boundary with a working vineyard and they do occasionally have a tractor or crew out in the vines doing some work. There can be a bit of farm machinery work every now and then but this is beyond our control and generally very minimal as vines dont take much looking after unless its harvest night.

Kinglake East End

91 Gordons Bridge Road was once part of a pine plantation that had been planted in the late 60's and harvested just prior to the Black Saturday fires. Across the road from the Kinglake National Park, it is surrounded by protected flora and fauna. Victoria's Pink heath, wattles and tea tree provide a pleasant backdrop in season. It is not an uncommon site to see an echidna or two on the property, with black wallabies, kangaroos and wombats often seen grazing on pasture in the evening. The mud turrets are the home of endangered land yabbies and Lyrebirds have been seen in the area. Feral deer have come to inhabit nearby properties and sometimes wonder down the track. Birds watchers will enjoy a variety of bird life that inhabit the area including eagle hawks, fairy wrens, kookaburras, rosellas, parrots and yellow tailed black cockatoos when in season. The area is a popular spot for hikers with the start of the Mountain Creek trail only a few kms down Gordons Bridge Road and serious cyclists train regularly, on Mount Slide, especially on the weekend. For the serious wine lover the property is within 15km of the Yarra Valley Wine Growing area with many wineries offering tastings.

Dogs are welcome however due to wildlife and the bush location, we ask that you please keep them on a lead at all times. If you are planning on bringing a dog with you, please let us know in advance. We also have horses (separate from the campsite) that campers can feed a carrot if they wish! Water is available from our stables water tank. It is Tank water so not crystal clear but think of it as euculyptus tea! NB: **We do have neighbours and the highway near by so there will be some noise . Would suit campers who want to kick the footy, wade in the river and maybe go 4wding or out and about fishing.
