Family friendly (not a daycare center) farm, located 40 minutes from Perth. We have a Brewery and Restaurant located onsite, ideally located between Toodyay , Northam and York. The ideal base for exploring the the Wheatbelt region. Summer Creek was established in 1884 by Edward Vivian Harvey Keane. Keane was a prominent figure in the development of Western Australia, having constructed over 800km of rail around W.A. The property runs alongside the discontinued railway line, known as the Kep Track / Golden pipeline trail, which is part of the same railway network as the Bibbulmun track. The old winery building was saved by R and A Poulton, after a demolition order was places on it by the Northam shire in 2002. The property is now heritage listed, and the fight to preserve it from main-roads continues. Come along to our Karaoke nights at the Restaurant. Our camping set-up is a work in progress, so we would appreciate your suggestions and feedback, we now have a cold shower on site. When things dry out we will be able to do more work on the accessibility. Children are welcome, but make sure you are prepared to look after them. This is not a place to let then go feral. This is a working farm and has all the dangers that go with that. Please appreciate our home, as we are opening it up for you to enjoy as much as we do. From plants, rocks and old equipment, you may not be aware of its significance, so please be respectful and dont damage our home. We have a number of unpowered camp sites located approximately 5 minutes drive from Augusta, which offers a number of tourist attractions and great fishing spots. We are also located a short 800m from Jewel Cave, which is a very popular tourist attraction and café. Our campsites overlook paddocks of cows and horses, with a lovely breeze and a number of large trees to offer shade in the summer, while being protected from the harsh winds in winter. If you are pretty much self contained and would like to camp out away from the hustle and bustle, in a tranquil and peaceful setting...then this is for you. However, if you like life's luxuries, then this won't be your cup of tea. One of the reviews said nice but a bit wild, I think they must be used to caravan parks or something. We try our best to fit in with the environment, so we have a couple of compost toilets and solar showers (for private not public use, for more info on this, please enquire ) and compost and recycling bins to try and do our bit. Dogs are permitted but this is a working farm with livestock so uncontrolled dogs chasing wildlife or stock which cant be controlled will be dealt with as needed including euthanised. If its hard to control don't bring it please!

A superb property with a winter creek and an open paddock where the horses live. It's very peaceful. There are only two camping sites available on this wonderful property at any time so privacy is assured. There is also a dam on the property so please mind any children with absent swimming abilities. Campfires are allowed during the season, and there is a toilet and shower available in the shed 100 meters from the camping area. Smaller groups booking the campsites will have full access to the toilet and shower. Please note, however, we offer a group camping option for larger groups but those booking this option must be fully self-contained as our facilities are not enough to support a large group. We have a strict Leave No Trace policy here, we kindly ask that you take all rubbish with you when you leave. We also ask that you please do not feed the horses. The property is well located to access many great wineries and cafes in the famous Swan Valley area, some within walking distance. Security here is taken care of by Mr security guard "aka" Smoky our pet dog. He's very safe and timid. If you get a pat from this boy I know you're good, so beware! We are dog friendly here, so you're welcome to bring mans best friend and we also have a secure yard to house any pets if you need a break, so long as they don't hassle the horses. We may also be able to accommodate your horse - please discuss this with us prior to booking. Fish, Fibre & Forage Farm at Tammin

Stay on a working small mixed farm just out of Tammin, where sustainability is a priority and the environment is valued. For this reason, we only allow a very limited number of visitors at any one time. We're waiting for our first rains in March/April so that our world goes green again! Unfortunately we had two severe storms in January that have done a lot of damage to our little farm. We lost silos, a shed roof, a lot of fencing and power for eight days. Sadly a lot of trees from remnants and early revegetation efforts from the 1980s. So please be patient while we cleanup and repair. We're not far from town, so you can bring your tennis racquets and have a free hit on the hardcourts (even at night), or bring your bikes, especially the kids so they can ride around on farm tracks. Plus there are wonderful playgrounds in nearby Cunderdin and Kellerberrin. Tammin is central to almost everything in the Wheatbelt and this year there are some great events happening nearby. Checkout the Central Wheatbelt Visitor Centre for a rundown of what is on where. The Wheatbelt is now well serviced with RV dumps (closest 10kms) and EV Charging at Northam and Merredin. The A Class Charles Gardner Reserve is just up the road and you can always find something special flowering throughout the year. In August and September the wildflowers are out and it's especially beautiful. We have a small fish farm on-site so you can arrange a tour, or if available, fresh fish for dinner. Right now, stocks are limited due to the power outage (our backup generators couldn't keep up), however by the time you get here we might have Barra ready for eating! Fred might even smoke you some if you are lucky... Ask him about his Metal workshop and see some of his artwork. We have sheep and guard alpacas. If you want to meet them or the alpacas up close and personal (across the fence). Let us know and we'll arrange it! *** ***We love our animals and so we need to be vigilant with Biosecurity. Please ensure any clothing or footwear you have with you has been thoroughly cleaned and is free from any soil or manure. Unfortunately you cannot visit if you have been outside Australia in the past 7 days.

It's an easily accessible and picturesque private property with approximately 7 acres of forest, flushing toilet, hot outdoor shower, a winter creek, a swimmable spring-fed dam, and an abundance of bird and wildlife, nestled between cattle farms in the heart of the Peel region. There are friendly free-ranging chickens, a mischievous mini pig named Peppa (who loves pats), sheep, and a family dog on site. The owners Michelle, Troy, and Carolyne live and work onsite (this is a working farm). THIS IS NOT A PLACE TO BOOK IF YOU INTEND TO PARTY. The camping area is easily accessed by most vehicles. There is a hot water outdoor shower and toilet available to use and within walking distance of each site. The dam on the property is currently unfenced and has steep sides when the water line is low, therefore this property is not recommended for those with small and wandering children. Older children will need to be supervised. Friendly dogs are welcome, however, must be kept on a leash at all times. There are no cooking facilities available for guests at present (this could change in the next couple of months as Troy is notorious for making stuff happen lol... so when it does we'll update the information). Therefore you will need to be completely self-sufficient including washing up bucket, cooker, kettle, esky, etc, and also bringing your own drinking water as the water from the taps comes from our spring-fed dam. We do ask that you follow local fire regulations with no outdoor open flames during fire bans. All rubbish and waste needs to be taken with you. However, Peppa the Pig will always appreciate your veggie scraps. Fires are permitted in designated fire pits during fire season. Anyone found having a fire during FIRE BANS will be reported to authorities and asked to leave the property immediately (we need to use firm words around this, as bushfire destroys homes and endangers lives).
