Our 43-hectare property is on the edge of the Darling Scarp behind the historical Fairbridge Village. Only 1 hour south of Perth, so it is close enough for a quick weekend getaway but far enough to enjoy the silence of the bush.
There are elevated campsites with views west towards Mandurah and the Peel Estuary, northwest views toward Perth City, and three dams on the property.
Guests must be fully self-contained, as no toilets or showers are available. Just amazing views :)
Some locations are suitable for tents only, and some for caravans only. 4WD/AWDs are recommended as most sites are not easily accessible with a 2WD vehicle, especially during winter.
Dog friendly. Campfires are permitted in designated areas with the host's approval (depending on fire restrictions).
We are closed over the summer period due to increased fire risk.

Most of our powered sites are large and shaded with the few that are not shaded being complimented by views of the rolling hills. Most are also drive through sites adding to the ease of getting in and set up quickly. All sites are no more than 100m from our amenities.
Big Valley Campsite is nestled amongst the hills of our family owned working sheep farm, ten minutes south east of Margaret River.
Camp fires are prohibited in the Margaret River region between December and April, please follow any restrictions when on the property.
Your pets are welcome to join you but please notify the hosts at the time of your booking if they are travelling with you.
The farm encompasses a beautiful secret valley hidden from the outside world by natural forest. We are central to the Margaret River region and its tourist attractions.
Margaret River has plenty of wineries, breweries and restaurants to choose from. It also has arts and crafts, mountain biking, bush walking, caving, canoeing and abseiling to offer both visitors and locals a great variety of things to do.
Plus there are many brewery and wine tours that will pick up and drop off from our campsite.

September long weekend coming up fast so we have decided to have a BIG Bonfire and burn all wood rubbish ( last weekend before fire restricions come into place). Bring along your potatoes wrapped in alfoil, crumpets or marshmallows and a toasting fork. If any one has a guitar and would like to make a sing a long around the bonfire, would be great. Look forward to seeing you.
We are taking a break from 15th August until 30th August so please note we will not be available for that time.

Amber Ridge Estate

Redgum Hill
Nestled in amongst the red gums on an elevated position near the edge of the property, you will be camping next to the old hay shed. The birdlife here is amazing, with red tailed cockatoos and honeyeaters amongst others frequently visiting.
Please take care whilst exploring around this area, there are some deep rabbit warrens around the hay shed, which can be hidden in the grass in winter.

Valley Vista
Valley Vista is a private and secluded haven, on an elevated spot backed onto state forest looking down over the valley, with arguably the best views of the farm.

Creek Junction
Creek Junction is a peaceful area by the creek line nestled in amongst the trees, where the gully running down the hill meets the creek. One of our three dams is hidden in amongst the tea tree bushes nearby. You can see the house from this campsite, but it is far enough away that privacy is not an issue.
This site has no facilities, self-contained campers/vans only.
Please be aware, all of our dams are seasonal and will be very low in the summer months. We also recommend that you do not swim in them.
Shed Pad with bathroom
Shed Pad is a powered site (15 amp) situated next to the main shed with bathroom facilities, including a flushing toilet. This site is relatively flat, perfect for a couple of tents or two medium/one large caravan. It overlooks neighbouring paddocks and state forest.
Please note, this site has a two-night minimum stay requirement. Base price covers two people.

Once logged for its timber in the 1960's by Wundowie Steel Foundry for it's steel mills and furnaces, there are still many tall/older trees as well as regrowth. We often have Kangaroos, Wallabies, occasional Echidnas, Goannas, Lizards and many species of Birds. All live in the wild and there is no guarantee that we will see them
We grow wildflowers such as Proteas, Leucadendron , Leucospermum (pincushions),Banksias ,Eucalypt - Silver Dollar, and Cut Flowers - Osteospermum, Zinnia and Gladioli, Kangaroo Paw and Bromeliads. We also have our native species - Grass Trees, Zamia Palm
and Golden Wattle .We supply local Florists with much of our produce.
We also have fruit trees, chooks and a vegetable garden.
BUSH STAY ACCOMMODATION is available and we have Two cabins. The Music Room Cabin for two people, and the Olivia Cabin which will accommodate up to four people. Both have TV,DVD, aircon, fridge, toaster, kettle and cutlery, plates etc.
We also have a large comfortable Tent to accommodate up to four people. Set up for the real bush experience. TV, DVD ,table and chairs .Beds and mattresses,sheets ,blankets, pillows, and doonas can be provided or bring your own.

The Cottage Garden

This property was owned by an Italian family who came to Australia in the 30's. We bought the house in Aug 2021 and fell instantly in love with it and all its quirkiness. The original cottage is still on site and is a long term renovation project for us, it may be old but holds lots and lots of history behind them walls.
The verandah area is yours to use, if you wish, for a bit of extra room to escape the rain or provide a bit of shade (depending on season) it has a powerpoint and light for your convenience.

We only accept one booking at a time, so you're guaranteed privacy and plenty of space, as you have the entire property to yourselves. 20% discount for weeknights, that is Sunday night through to Thursday night. Note: There is no actual beach at Eddies Beach.
Campers must be self-contained, with their own camp toilet, and leave no trace. The nearest dump point is the Tourist Information Centre on Albany Hwy, Mt Barker 19km away.
Groups of up to 6 families (people who know each other) can be accommodated at any one time. As you are the only ones camping, you're welcome to make a bit of noise (music, generators etc). The rate is $38 for up to two adults, per night, $18 per extra adult per night, and any accompanying children (under 18) are free. Note: Please still add children to the booking, you will not be charged, but it's important we know numbers. Whilst the Hipcamp website considers children as anyone under 13 years of age, we consider them as anyone under 18, and are happy for you to create the booking accordingly.
Campfires are permitted in the designated area only, provided conditions are suitable and there are no local fire bans. Firewood can be provided.
Whilst any time is good for camping, we recommend trying to time your trip with the New Moon and Full Moon - the skies here are brilliant at night! Marvel at the Milky Way from your hammock, or see the countryside lit up at night by the full moon.
Well-behaved, trained, socialised and fully vaccinated pets are welcome too.
Telstra and Optus work in most areas. We have free WIFI at the campsite (Starlink).
We are located 19km from Mt Barker, surrounded by local wineries, including West Cape Howe, Poachers Ridge, Arcadia and Gilberts. The property makes a great base camp for day trips to Denmark, Albany, Mt Barker, Stirling Ranges and the Porongurup Ranges.
Meanwhile back at the ranch: Barista coffee and tea are available by arrangement. Saturday nights BYO drinks happy hour from 6pm on the back patio. Wood fired pizzas available by arrangement with 24 hours notice. Minimum order for pizzas is Contact host to arrange.
IMPORTANT: NO FIREARMS. NO SWIMMING IN DAMS. Be mindful, this is a working property. No entry to sheds without prior approval from management. The dams and streams are unfenced, care should be exercised around these areas especially with small children.
For those campers who need extra sleeping arrangements for friends or family who wish to join your camp and don't have the ability to camp, we may be able to offer a solution. Speak to us directly when making the booking.
We look forward to welcoming you. The property is new for camping and under continual improvement, so we would love your feedback. We are not a commercial campground.
We have two (2) pet enclosures that measure approx. 1.8 x 4 mt, half enclosed with video surveillance so you can keep an eye on your pet from your phone while you enjoy the wineries, mountain climbing, national parks or just a day out by yourselves. The pet owner is required to provide bedding, water and food for the pet in the enclosure.
