This 40 acres of valley bottom farm land is nestled under a steep rocky uprising to the east called Flyhills. To the west is Mt Ida which is often the backdrop to the display of a beautiful sunset. The property is divided by the slow meandering Salmon river which is only a foot deep at low water through the summer.
Ken's campsite near Salmon Arm offers a rustic, scenic retreat with a friendly atmosphere. You can expect the company of horses, dogs, and chickens, adding to the charm of the place. The campsite is peaceful and surrounded by nature, though mosquitos are a common challenge that visitors have noted. While some guests enjoyed the tranquility and natural beauty, others had mixed experiences due to barking dogs and occasional noise from nearby gatherings.
very beautiful spot!!! loved the horses and dogs that would run around, made it feel so homey and safe. the view of the mountains was incredible, it was just what i needed!!
ken is also very kind and accommodating :).
The views from our site near the pavilion were beautiful. It was a bit confusing at first as Ken was away. His son though was home and showed us where to go. Very friendly horse was fun to visit with.
Quiet, beautiful and rustic campsite. We loved the tranquility and being surrounded by nature. Charlie (the dog) and the two horses were so much fun to have around. Ken (the host) was responsive and accommodating. Come with the right expectations and you will find a little slice of heaven.
