* HIKE IN ONLY * The property adjoins our family pumpkin farm where we have miniature Zebu cattle, mini horses and mini goats. There are 109 acres, 91 acres of which is dense woods with plenty of trails to explore. While completely isolated and secluded, it is still close to town and highways/railway, so there will be typical sounds associated with those. Absolute seclusion on the Bourbon Trail and only 4.5 miles from town. Only two designated sites on 109 total acres, or find/make your own spot in the dense woods. Park at the host residence and a short hike in is required. There is a strong 5G signal, and each site includes a fire pit and picnic table. The closest site has an outdoor shower. There are three miles of easy walking/biking trails through the woods. Salt River (off site) is less than a mile away and offers a popular kayak launch location, and an amazing destination just a little further down the road where you can drive in the river (see pics).  Four Roses Distillery is .4 miles off site and within walking/ biking distance on Bondsmill Rd. The property is almost entirely wooded and borders the Norfolk Southern railway. Some locations are within 100yds of the railway, where you can see the train through the trees as it passes by. Other areas are much further away.    Be warned! Lawrenceburg KY is known for it's Wildman Days Festival because of the high volume of Bigfoot sightings in the area, and there have been multiple, documented sightings on this property. Firewood available for a small fee upon request. Preview of sites by ATV tour *may* be available during daylight hours. This is primitive camping and you will be surrounded by wildlife, chiggers, ticks and anything else that creeps in the woods. No electric. Hike in/out only.  Leave no trace.Hi there!  Prepare yourself for absolute seclusion.  The property is on the world renowned KY Bourbon Trail, in the heart of Bourbon Country and only 4.5 miles from the picturesque town of Lawrenceburg.  After a short hike in, you'll find there are only two designated campsites in 109 acres of forest, almost 1/2 mile away from each other.  Each site has a picnic table and fire pit.  Both sites receive a strong 5G signal.  The closest site also has a primitive outdoor shower and hammock.  If you like, you're welcome to strike off into the forest and create your own camping sanctuary. There are miles of easy walking/biking trails on site, and the Salt River (off site) is only 3/4 miles away and offers a public kayak launch location.  Just a little further off site and down the road is an amazing destination where you can actually drive your car in the river!  (see pics).  1/2 mile away you will find the stunning Spanish Architecture of the Four Roses Distillery.  We're only 20 minutes from Keenland Racetrack and Herrington and Taylorsville Lakes are only 30 minutes away!     The property is almost entirely wooded and borders the Norfolk Southern railway.  The furthest camp site is within 100yds of the railway, and the closest campsite is over 400 yards away.  Regardless, there will be distant road and rail noises anywhere on the property.    Be warned! Lawrenceburg KY is known for it's Wildman Days Festival because of the high volume of Bigfoot sightings in the area, and there have been multiple, documented sightings on this very property. Firewood is available for a small fee upon request. Preview of sites by ATV tour *may* be available during daylight hours. This is primitive, hike in camping.  No vehicles allowed at the campsites.  There is no electric, and no restrooms.  Hike in/out only.  Leave no trace. Upon arrival, there may be a meet and greet with a host.  Please be respectful of your host.  Late check in is HIGHLY discouraged, as this is primitive camping, and the campsites are difficult to find without a host escort.

This was an awesome time. Just hanging out in the woods with a small opening and the path to get there. where the campsite is. Completely secluded. If you like to camp and want to just get away from it all, this is the place to be. Not to mention all the different distilleries within a 30 min radius, including Buffalo Trace and Wooedford Reserve.

This was the perfect spot for a weekend getaway without having to get too far out of town. Even though you are only a short distance from a main freeway, this site couldn't feel more tucked away! It is very open and spacious, but the trees help shade the area so you are not too hot. Keep in mind there is a bit of a walk from the parking area, so if you have lots of gear make sure to have convenient ways of carrying it so you can save yourself a few trips. We ended up having an air mattress that we could only inflate at the car (our mistake) and it became the only reason we decided not to set up camp, but just stay really late to enjoy the fire and night sky. Unfortunately after spotting multiple ticks on ourselves and our gear, we decided we weren't comfortable hauling the mattress down the trail as we were afraid more ticks might get on it! But hey, that's probably just camping for ya, right? Next time we plan to bring a battery powered inflator so we can fully enjoy the experience.
