All to yourself

This site is accessible by a gravel driveway that leads to secluded land perfect for your camping getaway. There is tree cover, but also open areas. We have a designated area for camping that includes a fire pit, ground level metal deck, and a comfortable outhouse. There is no power or running water. Experience camping for real! (fun fact: this property has been passed down four generations of women!) We are near downtown Manton, downtown Mesick, and downtown Cadillac. Our favorite places to visit are Dayhuff lake (10 minute drive), numerous seasonal roads and trails, the Manistee River, Traverse City (45mins), Emerald Vale Golf Course (10 minutes), and Pleasant Valley Amish market for baked goods (5 min). Notes based on feedback that we've gotten from campers: -the driveway is steep, as seen in the listing photos. The recommendation for trailer size should be followed (18ft trailer max, plus 17ft car/truck). There is a corner at the top of the hill that might be tight for anything larger. I will note that there is a review where someone made it through with a 21ft trailer plus their vehicle; proceed as you will with this information.Enjoy private and peaceful camping at our 9 acre getaway. The campsite is perfectly situated for seclusion and privacy. Don't want to sit at camp all day? You'll find fun things to do in Mesick, Cadillac, Manton, or even Traverse City. There is a clear designated area for you to set up camp. You'll find string lights powered by solar power and a metal ground level deck for you to set up seating. There is a fire pit and a couple chairs that you are free to use! The outhouse is set off the East side of camp with a walking path leading to it. Grass can get long depending on the weather we have had. Please plan to leave no trace while you enjoy our camp. Let’s keep this land nice for all.

Quiet and very private couldn't ask for more, outhouse was clean and well maintained. Enjoyed walking around the tall grass field and edges of the woods. Wish this site was available in the late fall until it isn't accessible from snow.

Directions were clear, area was nice and private. There is a picnic table on a platform, a prep area table, a fire ring pit, and the nicest out house I've ever seen. We had a great weekend, and would definitely recommend to campers looking for a private getaway.

Peace and Quiet
Tent · With pets
If you're looking for peace and quiet for your next camping trip, you've found the right place! My guests and dogs enjoyed having this plot all to ourselves. We appreciated all the amenities including a picnic table on a metal platform, in-ground fire pit, wooden table (we used for cooking and preparation), and the nicest outhouse. Directions were easy and clear, but beware of the steep driveway. We would definitely return!

Hilltop Bliss!
Tent
We had a beautiful time! Site was very clean, quiet and rustic. Setup our tent and explored some trails nearby. Listened to the whip-poor-wills at night by the fire. Definitely a place where you can stay to relax all day or feel comfortable setting up and heading out to sight see. We found plenty of side road firewood for sale. We recommend Sara's Falls trail if you're looking for an easy hike and the suspension bridge walk nearby is beautiful. So thankful for our stay, would visit again!

Quiet!

Quiet. Peaceful spot. Good location. Spring camping so trees were bare which worked for me and the dog.
