We have 60 acres with a mix of grassy fields, rolling terrain, food plots and wooded areas. There is two smaller ponds on site along with remote areas which are perfect for primitive tent camping away from the barn. You will have access to the entire 60 acres so feel free to explore and enjoy the wildlife. We have a century old barn on site, currently the barn is not available for use but we hope to renovate it in the future. Our property is perfect for taking those special family photos and the barn and terrain have been featured in many family backdrops. We are about a mile from the Scenic Pere Marquette River which is home to some fantastic fishing opportunities or spend the day paddling and exploring. There are also numerous lakes and streams within just a few miles and the beautiful Ludington Beach and State Park are within 20 minutes. The North Country Trail is nearby as well as numerous acres of public land with excellent hunting opportunities. We do have a fire pit, picnic table, charcoal grill as well as a patio table with 4 chairs & umbrella on site and we are adding to the site all the time. Come stay, play and relax in your own country oasis.Pitch a tent or park your camper near our beautiful century old Barn or you can pitch a tent anywhere within our 60 acres. Electric is available for an additional $10 per day (at the barn). Water is also available (May - October), weather permitting it may be available earlier or later). Flush toilet inside the barn. Fire pit, picnic table, patio table & 4 chairs with umbrella located near the barn. We also have corn hole boards for your use. We can provide wood at an additional charge, just let us know prior to arrival. If booked through this app wood is $6 per bundle, otherwise it’s $5 per bundle (cash) on site. **Please be aware that in the event of heavy rains the use of a camper may not be possible as the grassy area is subject to standing water. $50 per night fee allows you 1 camper or 2 tents. We will allow additional tents for others within your party at a cost of $25 per night per tent (based on two persons) for a maximum of 5 additional tents. Our barn is just over 100 yards from the road so you have total privacy. Abundant wildlife, beautiful night sky, morning sunrises and just you and the sounds of nature. No loud music or parties, we ask that you respect our beautiful property, the wildlife and neighboring properties. If we receive complaints you will be asked to leave and you will forfeit any remaining booked time. The beautiful Pere Marquette River is just over a mile away and is known for its trout and salmon fishing. You can also bring your kayak or canoe and paddle the river. Numerous inland lakes within a short driving distance or head into beautiful downtown Ludington for some shopping, food, breweries and the sandy beach with a walk to the lighthouse. ORV’s are allowed on our county roadways (with exception of US HWY 10) so bring yours and explore all the back trails. Hiking and biking trails also nearby. This is a perfect sportsman paradise. Contact us for other specifics of our property and surrounding area.

The best of both worlds.
Tent
This camp is great. The site is remote private and wild feeling. Yet there's a nice toilet and kitchenette right there. I heard lots of coyotes roving around just after dark and heard 2 kinds of owls. The camp location is very convenient for the Badger ferry and for cute Ludington. I loved my stay here.

The Red Barn was a wonderful secluded getaway with a few comforts of home. At a surfaces scratch it’s a quiet, off the path open camping area with privacy and amazing views. But once you set up camp it has so much more to offer. From various overlooks to endless exploring on the 60 acres you have no reason to leave for adventure. We enjoyed night time exploring and saw a variety of wildlife and heard even more in the duck of the evening. We’re excited to come back with the rest of the family and unwind.

This spot was beautiful! The space was so clean and cozy, private, and quiet. Great view of wildlife. It was wonderful to have access to the barn space with the kitchenette and bathroom! Close to Ludington, and the Pere Marquette, if you enjoy fishing! Thank you Jason and Amy for a wonderful stay on your property! We will for sure be booking this again!
