    The history of this property is currently being discovered. Our family recently purchased this property in October and just can't wait to share it with fellow nature lovers. Moon-Kissed Wooded Campsite is situated on 3 acres of private bliss. Enter the stone wall lined drive and unlock the gates to enjoy a private camping experience. Nestled on a ridge in the woods overlooking a sink/pond on the Bird Migration Flyway. This almost off grid private get-away allows time to relax, enjoy nature, camp out and be calmed by the tranquil sounds of seclusion. The main historic cottage in undergoing a little TLC and is available to guests that reserve it. The property is continuously being improved by the hosts!  Come see this unique property in it's rugged state and venture back to be amazed! Perfect for hiking, bird watching and stargazing. Only 10 minutes from convenient shopping. Cottage is now available!! Please respect the privacy of those guests that have booked the cottage located toward the entrance of the property. Camp-site & RV hookups are located beyond the cottage for additional privacy of all guests

    Picturesque camp spot
    Perfect spot. Quiet and secluded. Nice sloping ground, so you dont have to worry about water pooling under your tent if it rains. The gate adds a nice since of privacy, knowing that people arent going to just pop by. Very well maintained. Jeanny was great. Very hospitable, but also leaves you to yourself. Definitely recommend!

    Quiet and Tranquil
    We were looking for a quiet place to overnight while traveling through St. Louis in our Travato van. This place fit the bill perfectly. It’s basically an open meadow surrounded by trees (with a cabin being renovated). We parked on a nice level spot and we’re amazed with how quiet and tranquil it was so close to a big city. Our dogs ran freely through the grass and enjoyed the play time. In the morning, after a peaceful sleep, we were back on the freeway headed west within six minutes. We highly recommend this spot for anyone self contained either van or tent camping (there are no hookups or facilities yet). The host was attentive and polite by text. We’ll definitely stay here again next time we’re in the area.

    The property was nicely wooded and had plenty of birds singing, and a troop of turkeys nearby who walked through camp in the morning. Anyone wanting a convenient sort of car camping (drive up and camp) this will do.
