At Bonneydoon you can visit Sunset Rock, walk the great timber staircase of General Sherman trail, The Big Fig that's hundred's of years old, walk the majestic flatbed rock creeks, etched out over a millennia, adorned with unique flora and fauna, or relax atop the camping grounds and see the mountain tops that seem to stretch on forever.
The campsite offers a serene escape with stunning night skies and an abundance of space. Guests appreciate the well-marked and spacious sites, as well as the basic but functional amenities. The property is well-maintained, though some visitors noted the lack of water at closer toilets and occasional issues with insects. Overall, the positive experiences and breathtaking views make it a favored spot among campers.
Camping was great, glad we got put on the area with a really pleasant view, rolling hills and the expansive view to as far as the eye could see. Was a joy to wake up everyday feeling relaxed and refreshed. Almost forgot we had a life in Sydney to come back to. Could have stayed another couple of weeks easily.
We had a great time staying at southern comfort over the Easter long weekend. Amazing views , the kids loved exploring the bush and we took on the walk to the waterfall. Plenty of animals about with a monitor joint our camp one day and also finding a python on one of our walks. Would defiantly recommend a visit
Although the site as a whole was nice, this particular site was on a slope (not ideal for sleeping on an airbed in a tent) and the ground had quite a lot of holes/divets (not ideal for small children who were constantly falling over and tripping in the holes). We chose to camp slightly down the hill from the allocated spot next to the “6” sign as this area had just been leveled out by the excavator and not ready for campers in my opinion. Nice place, I just would not choose site number 6 at this point in time.
What a dream camping spot at Bonneydoon! There is so much to do on the property and the views are breathtaking. Hosts were exceptional and the campsites well-maintained and spacious. Will definitely be back again!
Amazing campsite which we had all to ourselves. Views over the valley. Would recommend doing the boshwalks to the 1000yr old fig tree, the tree stearcase down to the sherm tree, and to the creek and waterfall. Camping with 2 dogs and had no issues.
