Camp in Mudgee
Loved it here. Was so peaceful. Great spot if you want to explore the wineries and surrounds of Mudgee. Sites were plenty big enough, clean drop toilet, creek for swimming if it’s warm, and really friendly hosts. Thanks for having us.

Amazing scenery.
Sally and Richard are lovely people and were perfect hosts. Their camping sites are amazing, well spaced and the scenery is beautiful. You can sit and relax or go for a walk or hike up a hill. Plenty of wildlife. We saw many birds, kangaroos, wallabies and even a wombat. We will definitely be going back.

Short drive from Mudgee
Short drive from Mudgee. Massive property with plenty of space for all kinds of camping setups. Best to give the owners a call and discuss campsite options as condition change based on the season and weather.

Beautiful/intentional farm camping!
It was a pleasure to stay at Old Bara, even in the middle of winter! The hosts were lovely, and even stopped by to check if we needed jump-starting when my hood was up. They're very knowledgable of the local area, and gave recommendations for things to do based on our interests. Nice, clean amenities. Lovely land, with plenty of space. Though there was only one other group camping at the same time as us (we couldn't even see/hear them), the campsites were well spaced out, so I imagine it would be equally fine on a busy weekend! Reasonably close to town, just <30mins if you drive sensibly. Great directions from the hosts re: check in. Amazing number and variety of birds. I live in an area with heaps of birds and this was a step up. Campsites were well taken care of. Had been mown in the days before we arrived, with mown paths to the toilet. Well set up fire pits. Nicely designated and signposted campsites, ensures no one sets up right on-top of you... Incredible stars. Cattle provided nice background noise. Lovely creek running through the property (fenced off from some sites). Great spot to stay, we look forward to coming back!

My partner and I loved tent camping on Sally’s property. Both Richard and Sally were very helpful when we were checking in and gave us some great recommendations for Mudgee. Would definitely recommend staying at this site. Plenty of space and beautiful scenery.
