Come enjoy our cute yet spacious "little red barn" on the back of our property. It sits at the top of a hill with a beautiful view just 5 miles to Beech Mountain and less than 30 minutes to Boone or Banner Elk. Let the sound of the creek below sooth you as you admire the changing leaves. It's a "glamping light" setup with electricity, potable water at the camp sink just outside, a propane grill/stove top, air conditioning and ceiling fan, a camp commode. Sleeps 3 easily with double futon/twin bed bunk. There is one grassy/gravel parking space at the street. You'll need to walk about 75 feet to the barn from the parking. It's really a quaint little spot with an amazing view. A propane camp stove with exhaust hood and mini-fridge inside plus utility sink just outside with potable water from our well make cooking/cleanup easy. You'll still be "roughing it" a bit with no shower or hot water and a portable camp-style toilet that requires you to seal and dispose of the special odor proof bags. The bunk with twin bed on top and convertible double futon sofa-bed below provides comfy sleeping for 3. You're just over 5 miles to Beech Mountain resort, less than 30 minutes to either Boone or Banner Elk, but still away from any crowds. You'll be within a short distance to Blowing Rock, the Blue Ridge Parkway, the Appalachian Trail, Grandfather Mountain and the Buckeye Lake Rec Center is just a few miles away. Come have some fun!
