I road trip often, and often don’t have an exact location where I will end up for a night but rather, drive as far as I can in a day. That’s why I seriously rely on the accuracy of listings. This was listed as ready to go for tents and that’s what I was prepared to sleep in. I booked and after spending about 30mins trying to find the location, I contacted the host. They helped me find the location but informed me that there was construction and the site was not camp ready but I could sleep in my car on their site. They offered a refund since none of the amenities listed were actually available to me, but when I accepted and asked for the refund, the host decided to stop responding to my messages. I messaged again to give them a second opportunity to refund and make the situation better. This site was after all $40. It wasn’t just $20. I spent less than $20 to have a site with water, showers, laundry, bathrooms, etc. the next night only ~30 mins from this location. Aside from the poor management of the listing (if under construction just make it so people can’t book or disclose this in the discription). I was expecting this site to have more privacy than a typical campground, but it’s honestly just in a wooded area between a bunch of houses. You’re basically backyard camping, just in someone else’s backyard. Definitely NOT worth $40 even with all the amenities that the listing stated, I would have felt the $40 was too much, especially now I know the other options in the area
