    The Little Green Yurt is the perfect base camp to launch your DuPont Forest/WNC Adventure! As featured on 50 Campfires, this Transylvania County gem strikes the perfect balance of woodland charm meets rustic comfort. The yurt is secluded and private but still convenient to many local attractions.  Nestled next to a small stream, our well-appointed yurt offers all the comforts of home with plenty of space to enjoy the beautiful outdoors.  By day, hike and bike the trails of one of our many local forests.  By night, enjoy the fire pit and gaze through the glass dome as the stars & fireflies pass by.  Limited to no cell service and no wifi - enjoy unplugging and glamp among the trees in our 16 foot yurt!  Located minutes from the waterfalls and trails of DuPont State Forest, Ceasar's Head State Park, Jones Gap State Park & Blue Ridge Escarpment, plus nearby French Broad River and Davidson River for Paddling and Fishing. Twenty minutes to Downtown Brevard and Pisgah National Forest, 30 Minutes to Hendersonville and 1 hour to Asheville. The yurt is located in the Cedar Mountain area of Transylvania County, in between Brevard and Hendersonville, close to DuPont Forest.The Little Green Yurt is the perfect base camp to launch your DuPont Forest/WNC Adventure! WE NO LONGER HAVE A SHOWER OR DISHWASHING SINK AT THE YURT. WE NOW JUST HAVE A SPIGOT TO WASH YOUR DISHES AND HANDS.  Indoor accommodations include a Full Size Loft Bed and a Queen Bed below - linens & towels provided! It's perfect for a couple, a few close friends or a small family. You are always welcome to pitch a tent/hammock/etc. too if that's more your thing! The yurt also includes a small kitchenette w/coffee, mini fridge, microwave and all cooking implements. Outdoors we've got a fire pit, gas grill & picnic table. No shared facilities here! At night it is quiet and peaceful and a symphony of frogs and crickets will sing you to sleep. ***When booking, please let us know how many campers are in your group, how many vehicles and if you'll be bringing any pets. :)

    Toilet available
    Portable toilet. Toilet is a "porta-potty". TP is provided.
    Pets allowed
    On leash. $25 additional Pet Fee required. Pets must not be left unattended in the yurt at any time. Please let the hosts know when you are booking if you will be bringing a dog.
    Potable water available
    Spigot, pump or well, bottled water or jugs. Spigot for fresh clean drinking water. We no longer have a sink at the yurt to wash dishes but you can use the spigot behind the shower stall.
    Cooking equipment present
    Bbq, private, fridge, cookware, cooking utensils, dishware, cutlery, basic seasoning and oils, sink or other dishwashing station. Gas grill outside and mini fridge inside.
    Picnic table present
    No showers
    We no longer have a working shower at the yurt : (
    Pack it out
    You must take your trash from both the inside and the outside trash cans with you when you leave. A trash collection facility is only 2.5 miles away at the Connestee Collection Center, 142 See Off Mountain Rd, Brevard, NC 28712. They will manage your recyclables and solid waste for you.

    Amazing Glamping experience
    Group trip
    I couldn’t recommend The Little Green Yurt enough. We were looking to go camping to do my little sisters senior photos but because of the holiday weekend we weren’t able to find a campground with space. We found the green yurt and although it was slightly more than camping it was way more affordable than a rental and what they provided was above and beyond what we could have hoped for, they thought about everything when it comes to glamping. The only thing that I feel I should mention is that there are houses around the yurt. We knew there was one at the front but weren’t expecting the others. This wasn’t a big deal and it made us more comfortable knowing others were close by but it was something we didn’t really realize before getting there. The hosts did a great job of making sure the yurt was private and overall it didn’t matter that the houses were there. Highly recommend and I will be back to bring my husband for a couples getaway soon!

    Great spot in Cedar Mountain! Clean, dog friendly and the hosts are great! Several places to eat close by. Cedar Mountain Outpost is great for food and brews after hiking and biking . Dollar General is close by for essentials should you forget anything without having to trek back into town. Cell service is hit and miss so plan ahead with your directions. Enjoy the Little Green Yurt!

    Favorite Get-away Spot
    Great stay as always! One of our favorite spots to retreat to when we need a weekend away. Can't beat the location, and it always feels like we're coming home when we stay at the Little Green Yurt. We were so happy to see the outdoor shower working... truly such a luxury after a long day of hiking! Thank you again, Molly and Christian!

    Little Green Yurt of Dreams!
    The yurt was absolutely adorable! It provided the perfect oasis for our escape into the mountains of NC. The host provided amenities beyond what we were expecting as well. All local food options are a close walk and all delicious and affordable! Short drive into Brevard, which is a beautiful town with SO MANY great food options and local art. Very close to local trails, including an incredible water fall hike. Highly recommend the stay if you are considering!
