Perfect First Night
10 m fifth wheel
Our very first night as life time mobile living. It was completely random and I'm not sure how our night would have ended without HipCamp or Joshua's home for us to stay in that night. Living city life all the time, and waking up in their backyard was actually quite beautiful and welcome. We needed to leave a little later, and much unlike city life...they were very ok with us leaving late. I only needed to see them to hook up some electric. It took a few minutes for them to notice we had pulled in, but again...this is their backyard they are letting us stay in for a very nominal fee. It was as advertised and worth anyone's boondocking or traveling needs

Gorgeous tent camping!
5 m car · With pets
What a beautiful piece of land to go tent camping! Their table, chairs, and firepit were all movable so you could set up camp wherever you like in their large yard. We enjoyed spectacular views and incredible sunsets in this serene setting. They were very kind and communicated well, too! It was also very easy to find.

We arrived while Joshua and Rachel were running errands and we chose a flat spot at the end of the driveway next to the garage. They have a fire pit and a compost pile in a sparsely adorned prairie viewing site. Water tastes great from the hose. When Joshua and Rachel returned they introduced themselves and were very sweet. Their site was a quick, simple, and affordable solution to our cross county sleeping needs.

We used Google maps to get here and it worked perfectly, the only problem we had was not knowing for sure if we were in the right place because there was no number on the mailbox. We pulled into the driveway to look for a number on the house but couldn’t find one there either. We didn’t see a sign or any mowed areas to camp so we weren’t sure we were in the right place. It wasn’t too long though before Rachael came out to greet us and let us know we were in the right place. If it had not been raining we would’ve planned to have a campfire, but we didn’t see any place to do that. (no fire pits or signs of previous fires) We met Joshua in the morning when they both came out to say hi before leaving for church. They were really nice and very thankful for their land in the country. They have just a little more than an acre, but it’s surrounded by farm land and is very quiet. We pulled our car and trailer into their driveway and slept very well. If you’re looking for a place to just pull in and sleep, this is good for the price. We were their first campers and are sure that they’ll make improvements as they get established; they seem excited to share their space!
