Learn more about this land: This is a forested area including trails and a wooded wetland. Campfire sight is provided as well as a port a john toilet. It is a rustic site with a small cabin and areas to pitch tents. The area where the cabin sits is all pines. Secluded area yet close to town. Easy access from State Route 33. Walk in or drive in depending on your vehicle you drive. The cabin consist of a fold out bed, table and heater. Propane is provided as is a rustic portable ice chest inside the cabin. For those that desire to shoot small handguns we do have a pistol range on the property. In addition we have elevated totally enclosed stands for wildlife observation and photo opportunities. Our site was rated as Tree Farmer of the year (2021). Lots of wildlife and again very private oasis in the midst of a growing rural community.This is a forested area including trails and a wooded wetland. A patio heater is provided near the picnic table. Propane is provided as is a rustic portable ice chest inside the cabin. A small quiet type generator is available if so desired for a very minimal cost, very minimal. In addition the cabin does have a window air conditioning unit which can be used for a minimal cost to operate. For those that desire to shoot small handguns we do have a pistol range on the property. In addition we have elevated totally enclosed stands for wildlife observation and photo opportunities. Our site was rated as Tree Farmer of the year (2021). Lots of wildlife and again very private oasis in the midst of a growing rural community. Not advisable to pull trailers on the property unless they are of a pop up type or small pull behinds. Note: for those that prefer to hike in we can shuttle any equipment or provisions in free of charge. Parking of vehicles at the check in point is provided if one decides to hike back! Areas of interest close to the property is the highest point in Ohio. Ohio Caverns is near by and Mad River Mountain ski slopes. The Mad River is located nearby in West Liberty for those canoeing enthusiasts. Indian Lake is a 15 minute drive from here for boating, fishing and or swimming beaches. The town of Bellefontaine provides a variety of eatery's and shops in the downtown area. We welcome visitors to come and experience the nature and beauty of GreyOaks Tree Plantation! 937-539-1567

Great little cabin tucked into the back of a tree farm. Trail takes you back to the spot. Propane heater keeps the cabin nice and warm even on a 35degree night. Will definitely be back. Thanks Rob!

We had the best weekend camping at this location. This Hipcamp truly felt secluded in a wooded area, yet with the convenience of being near town. Robert and Maria went above and beyond; they are truly fantastic hosts. There are multiple trails to explore, and this property has a shooting range, which was a huge bonus! They supplied firewood for us, which feels like a luxury when camping. Between the comfortable cabin, clean toilet, provided table and chairs, the list of positives about this Hipcamp is endless. Our only regret is not booking a second night.

Camping in the trees

This Hipcamp was great! Plenty of space to wander and trails to explore. Robert and Maria gave us a very friendly welcoming and tour upon arrival. We were unable to drive right up to the camp because of recent excess rain issues, but it wasn’t a problem at all; just a short walk to the cabin and hangout area. The cabin was perfect for my son and I, very clean / tidy, and well equipped. Anymore than 3 might be tight, but doable. The outhouse was also amazingly clean and close to the cabin to make a cold morning chore easy. Fire-pit was nicely-sized and had unlimited wood. Noise from highway was present as called out/expected but it was not a problem. Would definitely recommend Robert and Maria’s place - we will be back!

Camping among the trees

Loved the relaxing getaway on this tree farm. Directions were clear, host is very friendly, and the property is just what we were looking for.
