This site provides you with a large flat, private and secure resting spot for a large group. It also has many options for fishing, boating and access for swimming. Sit on the same banks as the First Peoples of the River Murray and look for clues of their history. This River Murray floodplain was cleared to be a fruit block is slowly being restored back. Now being restored to its former fruitful floodplain glory. Revegetation is underway to provide more shade and restore the site. Site now includes a compostable toilet! We have an amazing rare spot where you can sit right on the Murray River bank and fish.  Set up a tent within metres of the rivers edge or park your caravan/RV within 20 metres.  You will have a secluded, quiet spot for you to enjoy with your friends and dog.  Main town is only 2.5km away - good dog walking distance.    Located on the mighty Murray River, this campsite has a cleared flat fruit block with 200 metres of exclusive Murray River frontage and limited shade.  Murray River National Park is divided into six separate areas and our region features two: the Lyrup Flats, 2,000 hectares along the floodplain on the northern side of the river. It provides wonderful opportunities for birdwatching and fishing. The Lock 4 and Eckert Creek area is a significant waterway that flows through the National Park and provides great canoe adventuring. Pelicans and other water birds, possums and kangaroos are common sights. You will need to be self contained with own water supply and camping toilet/shower amenities. Pets on leashes are welcome. Campfires are permitted when a fireban is not in place. This campsite offers a good fishing spot for native fish. There are many fantastic places to visit nearby including the Riverland Wine Centre, 3 km to the National Parks, 5 km to canoes & boat hire facilities and 4km to the township of Berri for all your supplies.

Nestled right on the banks of the mighty Murray River, this campsite offers a serene and private retreat just minutes from Berri. Campers consistently praise the ease of access, ample shade, and the peaceful setting perfect for kayaking, fishing, and enjoying nature. The composting toilet is a well-appreciated feature, adding a touch of convenience without disrupting the natural vibe. While most guests relish the seclusion and space, a few mention limited level ground by the river for larger setups, which might require some planning.

Secluded River Camp
19 ft pop-up camper · With pets
The small group of 6 that camped over the period form the 11th to the 17 March thourghly enjoyed the stay. THe weather was very hot at times, but with the river only a few steps away its was great to jump in get wet. Cooled you down and then sat under the lovely overhanging Willows, until the next dip was required. The evenings were and slidly coooler with a gentle breze at times. Michelle came down just to make sure we where all settled in and then left us to enjoy our camping. I will most probaly do it during the cooler months next time so as to be able to enjoy a small campfire Cheers Peter

Stunning riverside location
22 ft travel trailer
So very peaceful and private right on the river, plenty of shade and room to move around and get your favorite spot. Directions and ease of getting there were made so simple. Having the town of Berri only minutes away is so handy and a great location to look around and spend some time. Would highly recommend,

This was a great place to stay. Only a couple of minutes from Berri but nice and quiet. Plenty of space for all types of camp setups. We dropped the kayaks into the river only metres away from our caravan and enjoyed the Murray. Martin's Bend picnic ground is only a short paddle away. The composting toilet was a great touch. Would definitely stay again if in the area. All the info provided by the hosts was excellent and everything was exactly as described.
