Base Camp Tas is a peaceful and well-equipped campsite offering a blend of natural beauty and top-notch facilities. Visitors appreciate the welcoming hosts, Steve and Alana, who enhance the experience with their hospitality and local knowledge. Wildlife is plentiful, with pademelons, wallabies, and occasional sightings of Tasmanian devils. The steep driveway is noted as a challenge for some, but the serene surroundings and clean amenities make it a worthwhile destination.

Luxury camping
Base Camp Tas was such a great camp spot. All the facilities made it feel like luxury camping with hot showers and fully equipped kitchen. The site had some narrow spots so it was a little tricky to manoeuvre our big car in but luckily it wasn’t full so we had space available. There’s also pademelons and wallabies galore, and you might see a devil if you’re lucky. Steve and Alana were excellent hosts, very friendly and easy going. We will be back!

Very kind host Steven showed us what to expect and also opportunities for travelling etc Every evening he was interested in what we had done during the day and also treated the wallaby’s and also Jack the wombat with some food The place is very clean and very good equipped kitchen and fridge etc Nice place and nice host I would recommend this camping, we were travelling with only a tent and stayed 4 nights
