Situated on a small coastal farm on 8 acres above the cliffs of Adventure Bay, at the southern end of the neck beach, and in a central location for exploring Bruny Island. Camping area and the barn are in a gently sloping pasture paddock with flat areas for camping. Beautiful walks from the property, with just a five minute walk down to the spectacular sea cave, and a 10-15 minute walk through the light bush and along the picturesque cliff top coastline to the neck beach, where you can swim with the waves, fish off the rocks, or go for an endless walk along the beach. 5 minutes drive to adventure bay's beautiful beaches which are safe for swimming and dog friendly, as well as the grocery store, restaurant, bowls club (for Friday and Saturday night meals). If you love birds, there will be plenty of sounds to listen to from the trees. You might be lucky to see the wedge tail eagle hovering above. Resident banjo frogs live in the large pond in the corner of the paddock. The main house where we live part time is on the property, but you still have your own space and reasonable privacy. 2 options available: + Camp site for just one group at a time in a relatively flat area with lovely ocean views. + Or upgrade to an affordable lodging in a rustic but comfortable converted horse barn, double bed in the loft with clean linen provided, living and kitchen area. Magnificent ocean views from the lounge or when lying in bed next to the window upstairs. Portable camping toilet is in the outhouse. Dogs are subject to pre-approval, and must be kept under control if our horses or dogs are on the property. Horses are usually only here during the winter months. The property is fully fenced so there is plenty of space for your dog to run around and a large pond. And please don’t expect Airbnb standards if you chose to stay in the barn. Its is a fun affordable upgrade/escape from camping without the glamour and high fees of glamping.

Rivers Edge is 24 acres of forest on the banks of the Leven River in Gunns Plains, Tasmania. We are in our own little valley surrounded by tall forests. Preston Creek flows all year through our property and meets the large Leven River where your campsite is situated. Perfect for trout fishing, platypus watching, bird watching or catching the sun setting through the trees on the river bend. There are even the endangered black fresh water crayfish. The site is large enough for up to 5-6 caravans for large bookings, and we only take one booking at a time, so its exclusively yours. We are only 20km to the nearest town, Ulverstone which as everything you need. The road is close by the campsite with easy access to find the property. No toilet facilities at the site. Sat TV is good and limited mobile reception. Telstra works best we've found. River access over a rocky, uneven embankment as it's a natural, untouched environment, just how we and the native animals like it. Campfires ONLY PERMITTED when fire restrictions aren't in place. You absolutely must make sure your campfire is fully extinguished before you leave. Please check "My Trips" (in your profile) for directions once confirmed. Look for the 'Rivers Edge' sign on the entrance gate, then you know youve got the right site and not the neigbours property (which is along side mine on the river) Well behaved dogs are welcome but must be kept with you at all times, no roaming dogs as the road is close by. We love the peace and serenity here so please no unruly behaviour or parties.

"Quoll Hideaway - Bruny Island Bush & Beach Camping" is our slice of paradise and we are looking forward to sharing it with you. New! Aug 2024: the site now has a flat patch for campers visiting 🏕️ The plot is nearly 3 acres and is earmarked conservation land and surrounded by neighbouring conservation land. This is your perfect lunawuni/Bruny Island escape! It is tucked away from the no-through gravel road and surrounded by Australian bush and wildlife with filtered water views of D'Entrecasteaux Channel and 100 m from the beach. It's a tranquil heaven yet so close to all the famous Bruny sites and must dos: Bruny oysters, beer and cheese (why not bring some to the campsite to enjoy?) The Neck, Truganini Lookout + penguins! Cape Queen Elizabeth Track and other hiking trails Adventure Bay and *white wallabies (*we give you a map on where to go to find the white wallabies!!) South Bruny, and the Light house When you book our site, you have it all to yourself! Except for sharing it with the wildlife, of course. As the name suggests, there is a family of quolls living on the land and you are very likely to see them! Once dusk arrives and the stars start lighting up the sky, the quolls usually come out to say hi before they start their night activities. Joining the quolls, are the potoroos who are not afraid to come up close and sniff your feet in curiosity. If you are yet to see a quoll and a potoroo in the wild, this is your campsite! Other wildlife includes the endangered Forty Spotted Pardalote and critically endangered Swift Parrots. To access the beach, simply walk through the property to the end of the plot and follow the path. There is an echidna living near the road so keep an eye out for her. The campsite is a perfect spot to see wildlife, and birds, and for photography. On the campsite is a large outdoor kitchen with two sinks. Wait... is there a bathtub? Yes! The bathtub is great for a bush shower (byo solar shower) as the taps are not connected. You must bring your own toilet. Rainwater is available too, we have two tanks! Campfires are allowed but you cannot collect firewood on the property. Please bring your own firewood or add it at the time of booking and we will provide you with firewood for your stay. The land is a conservation area and quolls are known to live in up to 5 nests. They live under the logs and it is an important habitat for the species. We love the quolls and know you will too so please do not disturb their homes. The site is excellent for stargazing once nightfall arrives. Simply BYO a hammock (we have prepared the setup!) and lie down to watch the stars with a glass of red or a hot chocolate. We recommend campervans for the site and it's only suited to self-contained campers leaving no trace behind. Available on-site and free to use are also a director's chair and a table. The kitchen is also equipped with a double sink, dish rack, two buckets, BBQ tools, cutlery, and a dustpan. There is also a cleaning kit with biodegradable spray, hand sanitizer, and soap. There are also a set of caravan/van leveling ramps and chocks for you to freely use. The site is perfect for those wishing to find privacy amongst an otherwise busy Island. Semaphore Farm is a 400-acre property with convict history, bordering the Port Artur historic site. It is a private timber reserve and a working forest farm. We have a combination of native eucalypt forest and plantation, and we grow hay and our own beef. We have many walking and bike trails through 150 acres of forest and pasture accessible to campers. The campsite has spring water on tap, a hot shower, toilet, rustic camp kitchen, wood stove, gas BBQ, level sites, and a campfire when permitted. Tent sites are flexible so you can choose your own space within a 2-hectare area, while Level pad sites are limited. The Port Arthur Historic Site and a safe swimming beach are within walking distance and Safety Cove and Remarkable Cave are only a 5-minute drive away. Longer walks, including the Three Capes tracks, are easily accessible. Launch your boat nearby to access good fishing or fish for squid off the Port Arthur jetty. There is plenty of wildlife to see at night and birds during the day. You might even see our resident Wedgetail Eagle! Dog-friendly (must be under control/on a lead/contained).

Farnese Olivo is a family hobby farm set on 5 acres overlooking the Coal River Valley in Acton Park, just 15 minutes from Hobart CBD. The Duck Hole is a historic farm dam offering a quiet rural experience. All campers have free access to: - potable drinking water - shower (open air, cold only) - outdoor basic cassette/camp toilet - rubbish bins - fire pit and firewood - cast iron bbq plate and skillets for cooking in the fire pit - picnic table and chairs overlooking the dam - dam side hammock The property was established in the early 1980s on the site of one of Hobarts oldest farms (the original house built in 1826 still stands as a beautiful family home 2 doors up on our street). We are home to three friendly hand reared sheep - Daisy, Frank and Bill who love pats and food. Muscovy and Indian Runner Ducks, Chickens and many native birds. Overlooking the historic dam there is a shared fire pit with firewood supplied. We can only accept self-contained campers. There is a dump point within 6km, located in Cambridge Park for those with their own toilet. Some minor leveling may be required. The sheep pen and duck hole sites are pretty much flat. As we have farm animals, you will get to hear our sheep and ducks enjoying their environment. However, it is very quiet of an evening/night. We love meeting new people and are passionate about our property we can’t wait to share it with you and your family! Check in MUST be between 12pm and 8pm (daylight hours) due to safety and our council permit. If you require check in after 8pm please contact us prior to booking to arrange.

The homestead was built in 1836 and is one of the most photographed houses in Tasmania The cellar door is open 11-4, and offers chocolate and wine pairings, and normal tastings. We also have a restaurant on site open from 11:30 - 3:00 daily during summer. It is a beautiful vineyard with plenty of outside seating. There are also 5 other cellar doors within 10 minutes of the property, so it's a great basecamp for wine lovers! We offer a Big Breakfast Thursday through to Monday. Needs to be booked on arrival. We have plenty of level ground, ideal for pulling up for a night or several. Please note, all campers must be self-contained, with their own toilet, and we kindly ask you take all waste with you. Just outside the property, the Swan River flows past, a great place to cool off on hot days, sometimes there are fish there too. Swansea is 16km away and Bicheno is 26km away. Both towns have IGA supermarkets, bottle shops and restaurants, and plenty of history. Freycinet National Park is 40 minutes, and makes for a great day trip, with beautiful walks, fantastic scenery, and of course iconic Wine Glass Bay.

Inglis River Caravan and Camping Retreat is tucked away beside the Inglis River, 6mins from Wynyard or 30mins from Burnie. It is a secluded hideaway from the world with locked gate access. The property has cleared land, is partially forested and is located on a bend in the Inglis river. The property is home to wildlife including wallabies, wild ducks and fresh water lobster. We also have a few cows and goats on the property that love being fed a bit of bread 🐮 Apples are provided as well subject to availability. The animals will be your new best friend 😉 Kick back and relax around the campfire or take a swim in one of the many swimming holes, go Kayaking, fishing, walking, or mountain biking on our pretty cool down hill 400m thrill seeking track. Do you like Tasmanian Tigers? We have 10 located around the property. See how many your children can find 🥰 There is 15 acres to explore 🙌🏻 Plenty to keep the family entertained! It’s only a 6min drive into the Wynyard township to stock up on supplies grab a nice coffee or meal at one of the local cafes. You could check out the award winning Wonders of Wynyard Information Centre, the Veteran Car Display and Art Gallery, the gorgeous walks and scenic drive to Table Cape Lighthouse, Fossil Bluff or Boat Harbour Beach. The Wynyard Foreshore Market is also on the 1st and 3rd Sunday of each month along the East Wynyard Foreshore. It’s definitely worth a look 👀 Feeling adventurous and want to explore? The Stanley Nut is only a 40minute drive west. You could also check out Dip falls, The Big Tree or The Trowutta Arch. Love horses or want to learn how to ride? William’s Run Riding School is literally down the road from our property. Why don’t you check them out during your stay🐴 Want to go bushwalking? Head to Sisters Beach or Rocky Cape to explore the National Park- check out parks.tas.gov.au for more information. The nearest Waste dump point is located at Goldie St Wynyard adjacent to the Waste Transfer Station. Dogs are welcome but must be leashed. **

The Mount Managa Forest Reserve is very close by, with access to forestry tracks for bikes and hikes. Also very close to some great beaches where you can enjoy water activities. There is a boat ramp on the other side of bay approximately 5kms away. There are shops and cafes just down the road at Adventure Bay. 1.5 hours drive from Hobart. Guests must be full self contained with their own toilet/shower facilities and must take all waste with them on departure. Campfires are welcome in the fire pit provided. Pets are allowed off leash but will needs to be under control at all times.

Our small farm offers a flat camping spot or place for your motor home with it's own access. We do have a toilet for campers and wifi also at the farmhouse. Hire a fire pit with your booking and we'll supply some wood. Washing machine by arrangement. The Lilydale Pool is open 3-6pm in summer and is 1km and free for showers. When you arrive with a big trailer enter through the WOODEN GATES and stay on the flat. Walk up and visit the farmhouse. If you are after something more comfortable you can book the self contained cottage or villa in our other listing.

We are located on 25 acres of serene, private bush and pasture that bounds the Narawntapu National Park. We have a beautiful beach that's only a 3-5 minute walk away.Our property offers lots of space for you to choose the ideal private spot. Take advantage of the beautiful views or if you prefer, choose a spot that is more sheltered.  Guests are required to fully self contained with their own toilet/shower facilities and must take all waste and rubbish with them on departure.Campfires are allowed when there are no restrictions in place and you can bring your own fire pit. You can help yourself to fallen kindling around the property but please BYO firewood and do not fell any of our trees.Pets are allowed but as our neighbours have sheep please ensure they are kept restrained and under your control at all times. Please clean up after your pets.Across the road is a beautiful beach for swimming, fishing, picnicking and relaxing. There are great National Park walking tracks with stunning coastal views close by for guests to explore. You will need a Parks Pass to do this and they can be purchased online.

Beautiful located right beside the Ringarooma River. Fish in the river, swim or just spot a platypus in the river. There is a kayak and a paddle board that you are welcome to use to have a paddle in the water. Property is located a 5 minutes' drive out of Derby. You can cross the river and then you are on the bike track that will take you to Derby or Branxholm, this is a beautiful walking track or carry your bike across river then ride. Suggest site 4 and 5 for best phone TV reception. Quiet location perfect place to stay for a few nights. Awesome quiet spot to get away. Property is on a working dairy/beef farm. Wood available for sale at camp to use in fire pits for just $10 for 10kg & $20 for 20kg lot. We have just put in a private dump point for guest convince. By arrangement if time permits I can arrange for a cost of $20 per person a look at our dairy during milking.

Deep Glen is a beautiful, quiet 5 acre property at Eaglehawk Neck, gateway to the stunning Tasman Peninsula. Hiking, surfing, fishing, swimming, diving are all at your doorstep, not to mention the famous Three Capes Track and the Port Arthur Historic site just a short drive away. If you want to see the coast shown in these photos, both the Tasman Island Cruise and Wild Ocean Tasmania offer excellent trips Bookings are for two adults; children under 16 are free. It may be possible for larger groups to occupy one site - please enquire before booking. As the site is teeming with wildlife including the barred bandicoot, we don't allow dogs. There are no facilities on the block apart from a long drop dunny (byo paper) and a small supply of non-potable water so you will need to be self-sufficient though there are good meals at the nearby Lufra Hotel and excellent coffee just up the road at the legendary Cubed Coffee van. At Hill Top Farm Meander we run beef cattle and five working draught horses. Our property boasts commanding views of Huntsman lake , the Great Western Tiers and Meander Valley. The surrounding mountains create a dramatic backdrop for Hill Top Farm. Our farm displays an abundance of natural beauty, with crystal clear springs and a diversity of mature and rare forest timbers. There are numerous well known walks to do nearby, Meander Falls, Mother Cummings Peak and Smoko Falls to name a few. Huntsman Lake is a great favourite of fly fishermen and kayakers alike, there is also a very pleasant picnic grounds there, swimming hole and boat ramp. The village of Meander is 4 kms away offering a wonderful cafe , where the staff are friendly and the hamburgers , coffee and cakes are fantastic. As we have no facilities on our farm yet, so we ask that all campers must be fully self contained, with their own toilet , water and power.
