Welcome to Hobart Hills Hide Out, 28 acres of mixed paddock and native Tasmanian bush. High in the hills situated 25 minutes one way to Hobart and 25 minutes to the gorgeous Huon Valley. Our Glamping accomodation houses 2 people comfortably for 2 or more nights with a traditional Japanese futon for sleeping and organic cotton and linen bedding with cosy feather doonas for all seasons. A unique rustic bathroom with an eco compost toilet and hot shower. Cosy up around the fire pit and drink a glass of world class local whisky or wine or visit the local pubs and restaurants or come down to the house and say hi if you’d like. We are professional folk musicians and like nothing more than meeting new people and sharing our beautiful property.

Yurting in the Valley
The yurt was situated a little further off the main property giving enough privacy, stunning views and a beautiful little escape to nestle into. Clean, basic and just what you need for a no-frills but a little luxury camp night. Framed by ferns and big native trees, immerse yourself in the sounds of the birds while basking in the sun or relaxing to the patter of rainfall over the canopy.

Down to Earth Glamping
Lou was a wonderful host, making sure we were warm and comfy on some unseasonably chilly summer nights. We stayed in the big tent, which had a bed, bedding and plenty of space to spread ourselves out. The property is well situated - not far from Hobart and within a hour or two of many national parks and other natural attractions. Lou gave us the good info as to what is good to do locally (including the best watering holes). Overall, was a fantastic way to spend a few nights. Wishing Lou and Phillip all the best with their venture!

Wonderful tent experience
Solo stay.. I had the best time ever. Beautiful views, wildlife, nature and all in one place. Loved doing my meditation and reading a book. It’s safe and fun.
