A peaceful southern family camp site with exta amenities, southern cooked meals,and homemade wine available upon small donation to the Dovelove fund. A small country town Detroit TX just 5 miles away the Red River only 20 minutes away,Where our small party venue DouglasTown is located in the cumunity of Kanawha,TX our property is a great place to camp friendly, and fun hosts to help you relax ,unwind ,rest for a bit on your travels.we spent our child hood camp tenting and know what .makes it a great experience, the fire at night ,the sounds of the out doors ,the stars ,the moon ,fresh air and feeling a part of something bigger then you,Nature and all its beauty.we welcome you to come stay a night a week or a month.we will make your stay special .we look forward to meeting you ,and your family including your fur babies,with a leash please .All are welcome this area is full of places to explore Red River, Bevers Bend State Park,Pat Mayse Lake,l The walking trail the longest trail in Texas, the Northeast Texas Trail (NETT) follows old Union Pacific and Chaparral railroad rights-of-way for 133 miles, from just northeast of Dallas to within a few miles of Texarkana. The NETT passes through many charming small towns and peaceful rural landscapes.our small town is on this trail.storage available, electric and water if needed. P.S The Lunar eclipse on April 8th a amazing event and my property is located in the totality area where you can witness it from. start to finish.This site is on a farm to market road in a peaceful setting with lovely views, beautiful clear veiw of stars at night breath taking sunsets and sunrises tall pine and oak trees to sit in the shade walking path to a pond .antiques and collectibles available to purchase or just enjoy looking at ,snacks and meals on request, tasting of local home made wine.good atmosphere ,to relax for a day ,a week or a month we welcome you.
