Enjoy a weekend getaway on this 7.6 acres primitive land. Sunsets and star gazing are amazing here. Bring your tent and setup in 2 different camp areas or wherever you prefer. Fires are permitted in the fire pits that are provided in two different areas of the land. Our land is divided in the middle where you are able to park. Bikes and atvs are welcome, there are trails for walking, a small hill by the pond that you can easily hike and open areas where atvs can fit all around the perimeter of the property. If an area isn’t open don’t attempt to use for your own safety. Please be aware that there are animals that visit us: Deer, rabbits and spiders, snakes etc. Firewood is provided and you can also gathered firewood from branches or trees that are laying around the property. Please do not cut or harm any trees. Because this is a primitive camping site there is no water or electricity. Make sure you bring your own drinking water or water for any personal use. Compost Bathrooms will have some water for showering but if this runs out you will have to provide your own, these bathrooms are covered with 3 walls but are pretty private a few feet away from the campsites. Instructions on how to use and take care of the composting toilettes will be posted. There is a pond towards the back of the property. This is collected rain water and it just sits there, there are small fishes in there but we suggest no swimming as it can have bacteria. We usually walk around it with rain boots. By the pond you will be able to see lots of beautiful birds while relaxing in the various hammocks provided as well as swings. Trash bins are not provided so please carry out your trash. Please help us to maintain our land clean. Since there is so many acres we are still in the process of cleaning out what the other owners left behind. We do have neighbors so please be mindful. Cows also roam around the property but are separated by a fence but you do hear them once in a while and sometimes you can see them up close. These cows do not belong to us so please let them be. A train passes near by too so keep that in mind. Any other questions you may have feel free to message me and I will respond as soon as possible. There is phone reception in this area so you don’t have to worry about losing cellphone service. One more thing, please enjoy our land and just have fun! We hope you book it soon :)Follow us on social media (Instagram) to get the full experience!!! @goldehour_lnp_land If you like primitive camping this is for you! Come relax, explore, reconnect and enjoy nature. This 7.6 acreage land is located in Márquez Texas in Leon County with beautiful sunsets and lots of trees. I loved camping on the property, the spots are nice and secluded and there was a really nice deck to view the pond from. Around the fire pits there are string lights to help you see at night. Perfect site for a large group, we will be back!

Pretty and secluded sites but noisy
Tent
Paula was awesome and the sites are definitely secluded. And very pretty. The only negative was noise issues from two highways that border very close to two sides of the property. We kept hoping the noise would die down and it did around 2AM but picked back up around 5. If highway noise’s don’t bother you then it is awesome! Unfortunately, I am a light sleeper as is my wife. That said, we still liked it enough to want to stay the entire three days that we booked but it rained when it was supposed to be sunny on the second day and the forecast was for more rain and high winds so we left after only one night. Paula was very kind and refunded us for the two nights that we didn’t stay without our asking her to.
