Near North Cascades National Park
Within a 60-minute drive from the North Cascades National Park Wilderness Information Center.
Casa de Flujo is the name of my home, located on waterfront acreage on the Skagit River near Concrete, Washington. The camping spot offered is a beautiful, private, level, wooded spot with its own sandy beach and a 180 degree unobstructed view of the mighty Skagit River rushing by below from the top of the river bank. Towering old growth surround you, with an abundance of lush native vegetation. Guests have access to the bathroom in my cabin and the outdoor shower with running hot water and stunning river views. The cabin is conveniently located 2hr NE of Seatac International Airport or 2hr SE of Vancouver International Airport on the outskirts of the tiny mountain town of Concrete. Less than an hour away, the entrance to the North Cascades National Park, while a 45 minutes drive gets you into the Mount Baker National Forest, both boasting some of most stunning scenery on the continent. There's everything from swimming and whitewater rafting, and some of the best fishing in the state with 5 species of salmon, trout and carp running at various times throughout the year. Take any number of short drives to visit local mountain lakes and experience incredible hikes just minutes from your private river front oasis. Pets are not allowed as I have a dog and a cat, and both spend free-range time outdoors and make a big deal of other animal visitors. Children under 12 not advisable as this site is on a medium bank river front and the river is very large and very fast. My lot is adjacent to several acres of riverfront and rain forest trails and makes for beautiful morning walks, fishing, hunting for cool rocks, or picking berries. Local wildlife includes, elk, deer, coyotes, bears, raccoons, eagles, owls, herons, songbirds, and so much more! And soon they'll be reintroducing grizzlies to the North Cascades which will make this part of the world even more amazing! This private waterfront site has ample room for 2 tents. There is a hammock and fire pit on site. The Skagit River is literally at your feet with acres of trails along the river on either side and direct access to sandy beaches, killer fishing spots, and glacier fresh dips in the river. This is a private and quiet spot, but do note that Highway 20 is right across from the river, and there is occasionally highway traffic noise. For those with campers or RVs, these must be self-contained, and there are two spots in my driveway up by the cabin for setup. It's not as sweet a spot as the beach site, but the beach is just a minute walk from the cabin. Guests have access to either bathroom in the cabin for toilet duty and can enjoy the outdoor shower, with hot running water and a gorgeous view of the river and forest. This is my full-time residence, and guests are asked to kindly respect the peace and tranquility of the Casa de Flujo experience while enjoying their stay. There is a grocery store about 10 minutes away and the little town of Concrete is a diamond in the rough, with historical character to spare, a few very good places to eat, and a top notch gluten free bakery.

What a great start to our PNW trip. Guy was helpful and welcoming. Easy to communicate with before and during the stay. Provided insight about the area, the Skagit River and conservation efforts on his property. Guy has created a beautiful outdoor space at the edge of the property on the lake. You can see his home from your campsite but your privacy is always taken into consideration. Fantastic outdoor shower a short walk from camp up by the house, with a fantastic view of the river. Would definitely stay here again if we are back in the area. Close to North Cascades but off the main drag. Of note, if you are someone who is bothered by road noise (we are not) earplugs may be beneficial. Although the traffic on Rt 20 is infrequent after sunset, the road is across the river and can be heard from camp (not loud) due to how quiet the area is at night. Guys dog Mickey is friendly and welcoming! A walk along the river is a must, Guy knows the best viewpoints on the river. Fantastic stargazing as well.

Beautiful! Also: loud.
Guy was very welcoming; the site is next to the beautiful Skagit River under some pleasant trees. My one caution to future campers: bring earplugs. Highway 20 is across the river, and there's no sound barrier between you and the traffic - which does keep up all night long and resembles variations on "airplane flying over tent". (We decided this was just a bad pile of physics - site is at the apex of a bend in the river, sound seems to be focused accordingly.) We left a night early because the noise was simply too much. And, a local note: while everyone we encountered *working* in the area was sufficiently pleasant, my girlfriend had someone grumble at her in passing in a convenience store - "you aren't welcome around here" (or similar). We haven't had that overt of an anti-queer moment in a while. (Guess he reeeeally didn't like her haircut?) Travel safe, y'all.

Breathtaking view
Absolutely delightful stay near by the beautiful river. We woke up with an amazing view, and slept with the sound of running water. Guy was very welcoming, helpful and knowledgeable about the area. You could hike along the beautiful river, the water was cold, but we took a morning dip and it was great way to start the day, followed by a hot shower outside while looking at the river. To note, you cant drive up to the site, it’s about a 5 min hike, plan accordingly. Completely worth it!!!! Would definitely return :)

Had a wonderful time

Very friendly and accommodating host. Land is ample, clean, and well kept. Outdoor shower and access to flushing restroom is a bonus. Location next to beautiful, clean river is a highlight. Some highway noise from across the river is only consideration.

5 star, 10/10- book it
Tent
5 star. The only reason I want to give this site a negative review is to keep it a secret. Would and will hopefully stay here again. Do note: it’s quite a walk down to the site down some stairs and a hill (maybe 100 yards). So you do have to pack everything down there. The site is sandy… which is always fun to camp on. Friendly dog will visit on occasion, but super sweet and well mannered. He’s only out when Guy is with him. The site is one of the most beautiful pieces of land. I don’t think there’s anywhere that rivals it. You’re just up the bank from the glacier fed river. And can walk on the rocky beach. Or go for a swim. (I did). It’s so secluded and private. Hwy 20 is right across the river. But doesn’t bother you at all bc of the views. Amazing. The shower was wonderful and hot. And just truly a blessing. You can use his inside toilets for #2. He was extremely kind and welcoming. About 1 hour from Diablo lake. 5ish mins from concrete which is a sweet town. I can’t say enough about this place. 10/10.

Beautiful location on the riverfront, very private and quiet aside from the occasional road noise from the highway across the river, wonderfully shaded with trees, and the mosquitoes were not too bad for early July. The outdoor shower is an absolute treasure. Our host was very welcoming and friendly, and his puppy was too! <3
