The Lobster Boat Inn

Our amenities also include: comfy beds, fresh drinking-water, refrigerator, bathroom facilities, a hot outdoor shower, walking trails, and AC. The boat can sleep 5 guests, but a private raised glamping tent is provided for overflow numbers at an affordable rate. Speak to host for details. Off property you will find: auto race watching, hiking, biking and shopping activities. Downtown Antigonish is but a ten minute drive. The famous Highland Games comes in July along with the Lobster Festival in New Glasgow. Want to swim at St. FX University swimming pool? When you book at the LBI you get one free day pass, co-ed sauna included. Of course ocean swimming at one of the 19, nearby, beautiful area beaches is totally free for all, so get wet! Sure, you can sit inside and watch one of our many DVD movies, but instead why not : explore nature, take a walk through the woods, talk to your wife, or friend, play with the kids, or throw a ball for your dog? If you want to relax, maybe a visit to the golf course would tickle your fancy. Or just chill on the comfy relaxation deck. Do you want to ride, your bike on mountain trails, fish, visit a lighthouse or a petting farm? We have that too close by! Take a drive on our new 4-lane Hwy 104 and you'll be blown away at how beautiful asphalt can be. Wide-open highways make for smooth, fast, travel to places like New Glasgow, Pictou, The Cabot Trail or the ferry to PEI. All are within an hour's drive. Stargazing is wondrous through our dark, clear skies. If you're lucky, you might even spot the Space Station passing by, as you sit at the fire-pit roasting marshmallows after a long day of fun.

Barnard's End

Located on the end of The Ledges peninsula, Marie Joseph, Nova Scotia, we have 5 acres of woodland on a raised lot, with around 1 acre cleared. This can be used for camping on the cleared lot with a number of tents, or park a caravan on a level parking area. The lot looks directly out onto the ocean, with Turner Island and Goose Island around 1km from shore, which form natural breaks from the open ocean. The lot is South East facing, and provides a sunny shelter from the wind. Power is available for a hook-up from a shipping container that is located on the lot (shipping container is for private use only), so power is included in the camping/pitching. Starlink WiFi is also included in the pitch, and details will be provided upon booking. This provides an excellent service for streaming etc. Access to the lot is off Highway 7, along an established gravel track, and then onto the peninsula. The access road does slope toward the lot area, but it is a great place to escape to complete peace and quiet! There is a large retaining rock wall, which provides access to a rocky beach, but walking around the peninsula offers shallower access in other areas. All great for a day's exploring. There is also an access road to the famous Fancys Point around 2km away, which looks out to open ocean.

This 160 sq. ft. double lofted cabin sleeps two comfortably on a double size bed, but there is room for up to four. It has Power, Internet WIFI, a TV,Double Bed (bring your sheets), Picnic Table, Firepit, Parking for up to 2 vehicles. Just 5 km is the Bayside Centre open until midnight, that has Tim Horton's, Mary Brown's, Gas Station, NSLC (liquor store). Also the Reserve is 5 km away to get all your party needs. Another 5 km is a Robin's coffee shop with an Electric Vehicle Charging Station, Petro Canada, another NSLC, bakery goods, ice cream, chip truck etc. Everything you need is within 5 kms. Beaches to name a few you have Myette Beach, Bayside Beach, Ferry Beach, Cape Jack Beach, they go on and on and are the some of the warmest waters in Nova Scotia.

We are located between New Glasgow and Antigonish along the beautiful shore road called Route 245. Also, 10 minutes from TCH heading to Cape Breton.
