This 5 acre private campsite is located right off highway 316 very close to Tor Bay Provincial Park, which offers a lovely beach and trails. Basin Brook Camp features a driveway quickly leading to a flat area suitable for a trailer or tents. The property overlooks a wilderness area with stunning sunsets. It has a cleared area in which blackberries, raspberries and blueberries grow. At the back of this cleared area is a marked trail leading to the shoreline on Gammons Basin. Along one side of the campsite land is Basin Brook, which is a tidal stream that can be accessed easily by the road. Deer have been seen on the property. Basin Brook Camp is quiet and secluded with no neighbours in sight.Welcome to Basin Brook Camp!
This site offers privacy and wilderness and beautiful sunsets, The 5 acre property is bordered on one side by a freshwater brook and on another by oceanfront, and is on a main road. There is a marked trail from the camping area to the ocean. The driveway is gradual up to a level space that will accommodate a trailer up to 25 feet.
There is a lovely beach at Tor Bay Provincial Park only minutes away. The quaint Acadian town of Larry’s River is just up the road. Guysborough has stores and coffee, 20 mins away. Explore the Lost Shores of Nova Scotia from this camp.
There is a community well on the road from Larry’s River to Guysborough on the left side of the road near Trout Lake, providing fresh water.
