If you’re looking for the perfect rustic getaway, I highly recommend staying at Deep Creek Cabin on Darcy’s property. It’s got everything you need for an off-grid retreat—except it’s not totally off-grid since it has electricity! The amazing wood stove keeps the place cozy, there’s an outdoor hot shower that’s surprisingly refreshing, and the outhouse adds to the authentic cabin vibe. It’s tucked away in nature, making it the ideal spot to unplug (or not, since there’s power) and just relax. If you love cozy, simple living with modern convenience, this place is definitely worth checking out. Comes highly recommended and will be back. Thanks again to Darcy and his family

Learn more about this land: Our campsite is located along the beautiful Spillimacheen River, in Spillimacheen BC which is 20mins south of Golden BC and 30mins north of Radium Hot Springs BC. This property is very secluded and surrounded by crown land. It’s the perfect property to disconnect and reconnect, with limited cell service this allows you to turn off and just enjoy being outside in nature. Campers can choose where to park along a large cleared area. There are designated campfire locations and an outhouse. From the property, you can Kayak down the river, please Google and research before launching as there are a lot of writes ups and kayaking websites that feature the Spillimacheen River. Nature trails for hiking and walking right off the property. There is a well renowned natural rock wall for climbers 3km down the road, there are also a lot of websites that feature these rock walls. Within a half an hour drive you have two easy hikes in waterfalls (the Lower Bugaboo Falls and the Brisco Falls). Spillimacheen has a cafe and also a local market store that is full of delicious treats, beer and wine. The wetlands offer endless bird watching and beautiful mountain views. If you require firewood you must order ahead of your stay. On site purchases are not available. We deliver the bundles the day of your arrival. I consider it the closest thing to paradise. The first you'll need to know about this property is that it's only accessible by boat. This is what makes the campsite so secluded and peaceful. Transportation to and from the island is included with your stay. The stunning 15 minute boat ride to and from Nile Point is one of the many things that makes this a truly unique experience. The second thing you'll need to know is that we offer TWO SITES on the property, a 10x16 TENT PLATFORM and a OCEANFRONT CANVAS TENT WITH ENSUITE (NEW!) with king size bed, in-tent ensuite bathroom and fully stocked outdoor kitchen with potable water, bar fridge and BBQ We have one canoe, one one-person kayak, and a paddleboard. Bring your own water exploring devices if you wish. Our beach is rocky (it ain't a sandy beach!), so bring your good water/rock shoes! This is a great place to stay and explore if you love the wild. It's off the grid, so if you want to unplug from devices and do nothing but relax or play in the ocean and explore the forest, it's perfect. That said, there is cell reception should you need it and a solar charger if you need to charge your devices. There's free parking at the pickup/drop off location in Egmont. Hey - wanna unplug??! Need some rest? This well insulated, off grid cabin with its outdoor kitchen is the place you want to be. The gorgeous and serene lake just 2.5km up the road is a placid walk or an easy drive. The lake is very warm and refreshing, fed by dozens of natural aquifer springs. Pack-it-in and pack-it-out! and bring your own bedding and foods. This tiny house it tucked away among the cedars. Enjoy the crisp air - the Quiet awaits you! This area has incredible hiking, fishing, back-country and downhill skiing, snowmobiling, canoeing and jet boating - ALL WITHIN MINUTES OF THIS LOCATION. The Pend Orielle, The Columbia, and the Kootenay rivers are all nearby. Rosebud Lake is a non-motorcraft lake and is excellent for canoes, kayaks and paddle boards. There are hundred upon hundred of turtles in the lake (all very friendly and shy) and huge dragonflies (which eat all the mosquitos!) It's an excellent place for peace and quiet. This location is VERY CENTRAL and a short drive to Salmo, Trail, Castlegar or Nelson. It's a reasonable drive to get to from Spokane and Creston as well. One of the neighbours opened a little store, for eggs and ice cream and other summer snacks. The tiny house has a twin futon mattress inside, and there is an extra single mattress if there are more than two in your party. Bring your own bedding please, as this is an off-grid scenario. The building is new construction, with a classic Dickensen Marine propane heater, so with two people the space holds the heat wonderfully. Outside, you'll find a propane barbecue and two-burner for meal prep. You may wish to bring your own camping set-up as well, if you're familiar with your own equipment. Water is provided and collected from the well on the property into a large dispenser. Outhouse. Hot showers available only upon request (you can always take a dip in the lake, too). The tiny house itself is nestled amongst cedars and hemlock at the back of the property. It's very secluded and serene (see photos). Coming in 2024! a gazebo/deck atop the hill for a nice sunny lookout :)
