Glamping near Saguenay

Quebec's seventh most populated city, Saguenay offers a huge range of restaurants serving cuisines both local and international, an Air Defence Museum, the Val-Jalbert Historical Village (which takes you back to 1927), and all the amenities you might need. The city's proximity to the Rivière Saguenay fjord and many spectacular national parks is what makes it the perfect place to use as a basecamp for your Quebec camping trip, but even within the city, campers will find parks, trails, and campgrounds.

As a large city surrounded by all-season parks, Saguenay doesn’t have a bad time to visit. In summer, the city offers charms similar to those found in nearby Montreal and Quebec but without the crowds. Some area campgrounds and attractions close in winter, while May to October is prime whale-watching season.

• French is Quebec’s first language, so that’s what you’ll hear spoken most widely in Saguenay. Most residents have a basic understanding of English or may well be fluent, but it’s a good idea to have a translation app at hand to help out if needed. 
• Several stores in the city are good spots to pick up any camping gear you may have forgotten to pack.
• Saguenay has multiple EV charging stations. 
• Biking is a great way to get around Saguenay, where you'll find both bike rentals and several biking routes.
